00:00:00Previously on Project Runway All-Stars.
00:00:14For your challenge, you'll create one runway look that showcases two styles.
00:00:21It's great. I'm glad you made it short.
00:00:23Me too.
00:00:24Hopefully they do too, Christian.
00:00:25All my plans are failing.
00:00:27The winner of this challenge, best showcase, their contrasting styles.
00:00:34The winner is Laurence.
00:00:38That's three wins for you, Laurence.
00:00:40I'll take it.
00:00:41Praje, Bhishmi, Kato.
00:00:45Two of you will be in and one of you will be out.
00:00:48Kato, I'm sorry, but you are out.
00:00:52There's nothing wrong with my outfit.
00:00:54I don't care what anybody says.
00:00:55It was precise.
00:00:56So nothing that's been said today is going to take anything from me.
00:01:00Peace out.

00:01:35This is Project Runway, all-stars.
00:01:36This is Project Runway, all-stars.
00:01:37This is Project Runway, all-stars.
00:01:38This is Project Runway, all-stars, and a career-changing mentorship.
00:01:42Hi.
00:01:43What's your winner?
00:01:44What's your winner?
00:01:45What's your winner?
00:01:46What's your winner?
00:01:47What's your winner?
00:01:48They me hard last night, put me in the bottom.
00:01:50It makes you very self-conscious.
00:01:52It's important to remember, whether it's top or bottom or safe, you're kept here because your creative voice is important.
00:01:58Exactly.
00:01:59That's all cool and dandy, but my ass still hurts.
00:02:02My ass hurt before, girl?
00:02:04Yeah.
00:02:05So I'm just saying, like, it happened.
00:02:07I mean, I think we all rocked the bottom.
00:02:08Yes.
00:02:09You know what I mean?
00:02:10And it hurts.
00:02:11Have we?
00:02:12Absolutely.
00:02:13Yeah, all of us have.
00:02:14But at the end of the day, you know, I don't think I've let it bring me down.
00:02:17I continue to push.
00:02:18No, you have.
00:02:19You've done really good.
00:02:20And so they actually really walk me to the door.
00:02:22That's what the you're going to get.
00:02:24I think we're all realizing how close we are to the finals.
00:02:27So everyone is at a very sensitive time right now.
00:02:30Kato went home.
00:02:32She's somebody that I looked up to.
00:02:33I think it put this competition in a different perspective for me.
00:02:36But somebody have to go home.
00:02:38How does it feel to have the triple crown?
00:02:40Triple crown?
00:02:41Yeah, your triple crown.
00:02:42It's not a crown.
00:02:43Uh-huh.
00:02:44But it feels, it feels...
00:02:45You know what I mean.
00:02:46It feels great.
00:02:47What else is going on?
00:02:49I think I'm here to win challenges.
00:02:50I came here to win the competition.
00:02:52Top five.
00:02:53Two more challenges to go.
00:02:54And the finale.
00:02:56New day, new challenge.
00:02:58Let's do this.
00:02:59Let's do it.
00:03:00New challenge.
00:03:01Holy .
00:03:02All right?
00:03:03And then there were five.
00:03:16Oh boy.
00:03:17He's wearing feathers or a broom.
00:03:21Yep.
00:03:22Feathers.
00:03:23Oh, my God.
00:03:25Oh, my God.
00:03:27That's good.
00:03:28Look, Project, it is a fan for you.
00:03:31Hello.
00:03:32Shut up.
00:03:33All right, that's funny.
00:03:34Oh, my God.
00:03:35As you can see by my fabulous fan,
00:03:38Yeah.
00:03:39the era of male peacocking is upon us.
00:03:43What's the male peacocking?
00:03:45Male peacocking makeup.
00:03:46Oh, the peacocks .
00:03:47Male peacocking, darling.
00:03:49All right.
00:03:50Okay.
00:03:52Red carpet fashion is no longer just for the ladies.
00:03:55Timothee Chalamet wowed at the Venice Film Festival.
00:03:59Little Nas X shutting down the VMAs.
00:04:02What?
00:04:03It's my baby daddy.
00:04:04Laurence, do you get it?
00:04:05Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
00:04:06Oh, yeah, yeah.
00:04:07Peacocking.
00:04:08All right.
00:04:09Designers, your challenge.
00:04:11Embrace the peacocking trend
00:04:13and create a striking red carpet menswear look
00:04:18worthy of a thousand flash folds.
00:04:20Okay.
00:04:21The goal is simple.
00:04:22You want to stand out and attract the most attention possible,
00:04:25but by still being chic.
00:04:27And guess what?
00:04:28It's a two-day challenge.
00:04:30Yay!
00:04:31Two-day challenge.
00:04:33And I have more good news.
00:04:35What is it?
00:04:36The winner of this challenge will get $5,000.
00:04:40Wow.
00:04:41All right.
00:04:42You guys have 30 minutes now to sketch in the workroom,
00:04:45and I will meet you at mood when you're done.
00:04:47All right.
00:04:48Yay.
00:04:49All right.
00:04:50I left your model cards in the workroom.
00:04:51You guys have to decide amongst yourself who gets who.
00:04:54Good luck.
00:04:55And I'll see you guys in a little bit.
00:04:58Bye.
00:04:59Thanks.
00:05:01Well, come on, Sheba.
00:05:07All right.
00:05:08Let's see what we got.
00:05:09What's happening here?
00:05:10Should we just flip them then?
00:05:12Flip them out.
00:05:13Let's just look.
00:05:14Flip them out.
00:05:15Let's look and see what we got.
00:05:16Okay.
00:05:17He's cute.
00:05:18He's got a good butt.
00:05:19That's who I want.
00:05:20Eric.
00:05:21I think I want this guy.
00:05:22I have Keenan.
00:05:23I have Michael.
00:05:24I have Tice.
00:05:25I have Demani.
00:05:26Yeah.
00:05:27Ooh.
00:05:28Damn.
00:05:29I quit.
00:05:30I am not that much of a peacocker,
00:05:33but I love creating bold looks.
00:05:37Follow me as a sketch.
00:05:38I'm really excited, honestly.
00:05:41I don't know how to sketch men stuff,
00:05:43but we're going to use this lady.
00:05:45I've been peacocking my whole life.
00:05:47They used to pick on me, calling me gay
00:05:49and all kind of stuff.
00:05:50But I wore my skinny jeans.
00:05:51I've been wearing pink for God knows how long.
00:05:53So I'll be creating a look that is, for me,
00:05:55the inspiration is Ilona's ex.
00:05:58I'm doing a take on the butler's jacket
00:06:00by creating a very cropped laser
00:06:02with a dinner jacket lapel with high-waisted pants.
00:06:06I think I want some art incorporated into this madness.
00:06:09So I'm just used to women's croquis,
00:06:11so I think I'm just going to draw women's croquis.
00:06:13But let's dial on it.
00:06:15Less curves, perhaps.
00:06:17Less curves, more straight.
00:06:20Yes, exactly.
00:06:21All right, guys.
00:06:22Let's go find some men at Mood.
00:06:24Let's go shop.
00:06:25But I'm going for the men.
00:06:27Back again.
00:06:31Good morning.
00:06:32My designer.
00:06:33Hello.
00:06:34Good morning.
00:06:35Laurent.
00:06:36As the winner of the last challenge,
00:06:38you win an advantage.
00:06:39An extra $200.
00:06:41Yee!
00:06:42So $950 for you.
00:06:44That's a lot of money.
00:06:45You can get anything.
00:06:46You're rich, girl.
00:06:47And $750 for the rest of you.
00:06:50Ready?
00:06:51Yeah.
00:06:52Go.
00:06:5330 minutes.
00:06:54It goes quick.
00:07:01You in another fabric area other than leather?
00:07:05I mean, I'm still going there.
00:07:06Oh, yeah.
00:07:07You're still going there.
00:07:08OK.
00:07:09I'm still getting a little something out there.
00:07:10I would love something a little different.
00:07:12Well, I'm thinking about making a four-piece situation,
00:07:15right?
00:07:16Skinny pants, a kilt, a shirt,
00:07:20and on top, a sleeveless jacket.
00:07:23I love a kilt on a man.
00:07:24Gay, straight, whatever.
00:07:26I think it's sexy.
00:07:27Why is it covered?
00:07:28Because it's on hold for somebody.
00:07:30All right.
00:07:31Oh, wait.
00:07:32They didn't pick that up yet?
00:07:33That's for you?
00:07:34What?
00:07:35Sorry.
00:07:36It's on hold for...
00:07:37What in the hell?
00:07:38Someone very famous.
00:07:39I can't give it to you.
00:07:40How famous can that person be?
00:07:42I'm the prince.
00:07:43It's literally for Lady Gaga,
00:07:44and she ordered it.
00:07:45Tell Lady Gaga.
00:07:46And she paid.
00:07:47I'm paying too.
00:07:48Her fabric's gonna be missing a yard.
00:07:50I just want him to look cool and dope.
00:07:52Rami, what are you gonna do?
00:07:53I want to do a deconstructed suit jacket.
00:07:57What?
00:07:58Christian, let me just explain, please.
00:08:00I'm listening.
00:08:01I'm listening.
00:08:02Okay, I'm doing a deconstructed suit jacket.
00:08:03Yeah.
00:08:04I want to do it one sleeve off shoulder.
00:08:05What you just tried to do that couldn't...
00:08:07Yes, I want to make it work now.
00:08:08Make it work.
00:08:09Yes.
00:08:10I think that some people think that draping is just for women,
00:08:12but I really want to incorporate that into a men's challenge.
00:08:16So the sleeve on the jacket, instead of having a straight seam,
00:08:20the seam actually wraps around and the seam becomes the design itself.
00:08:24What if he wore the coolest, most amazing, draped, slinky, like, skirt?
00:08:33I like that.
00:08:34Pants.
00:08:35I feel like menswear has been so rigid for a long time,
00:08:38and this breathes a new aesthetic and creates almost like a really cool marriage.
00:08:44I'll do three yards of this when you have a minute.
00:08:49You love this?
00:08:50You love this?
00:08:51I love this.
00:08:52I keep coming back to it.
00:08:53And I thought that the peacocking thing, I can make it cool that it's like both sides.
00:08:57Okay.
00:08:58I'm going to make this really beautiful pair of pants that have the placket that I love so much.
00:09:03One garment can be styled in many different ways with just simply snapping it closed or opening it up.
00:09:10I like this.
00:09:12Designer.
00:09:13Ten minute warning.
00:09:16Can I get four yards of this?
00:09:18And there's a price check on aisle two.
00:09:20I'll be right back.
00:09:22What are you getting?
00:09:23That?
00:09:24This and that.
00:09:25Really?
00:09:26Yeah.
00:09:27Okay.
00:09:28It's going to be very minty.
00:09:29Well, guess what?
00:09:30You have two minutes.
00:09:36Still running.
00:09:37Yes.
00:09:38All these seasons later.
00:09:39Give me eight yards, please.
00:09:40In the silk area, I find this pink silk pique fabric.
00:09:45It does catch your eye.
00:09:47Can I get three yards of this, please?
00:09:49And with that bronze metallic mesh, it will make it pop.
00:09:53We're peacocking.
00:09:56All right, designers.
00:09:57That's it.
00:09:58That's time.
00:09:59Bye.
00:10:00Thanks for sharing.
00:10:01Bye, Mo.
00:10:03Thank you, Mo.
00:10:04Bye.
00:10:14Rami, have you ever done custom menswear?
00:10:17I've made myself some pieces, but like most of my clients are.
00:10:22Women?
00:10:23Yeah.
00:10:24Same.
00:10:25It took me a long time to get over that like tuxedo challenge.
00:10:29Yes.
00:10:30It took me a long time to get over that.
00:10:32Menswear is not my forte, and the last time, it's just an absolute disaster.
00:10:37I'm shocked that this is your design.
00:10:40It felt like a douchey Hamptons party.
00:10:42Oh, God.
00:10:44Oh, I've had a lot of time to think about it.
00:10:49Oh, my God.
00:10:50Wow, no.
00:10:51I've had three years to, you know, run through my head what I could have done differently,
00:10:57but I cannot be second guessing myself.
00:10:59I have to come in here and show that I am indeed a confident designer that knows what she contributes
00:11:07to the industry and do that full force.
00:11:13Coming up?
00:11:14Ow.
00:11:15Are you okay?
00:11:16Yeah, oh, .
00:11:17All right.
00:11:18Bloody hell.
00:11:19I'm so stressed.
00:11:20That's like a redesigners nightmare, because sometimes you can't get the blood out.
00:11:37That look, oh, , Basquiat.
00:11:42This means well.
00:11:43Oh, that's her project.
00:11:45I see everything in a different way.
00:11:47That's cute.
00:11:48For this look, I want to express who I am.
00:11:52So what is drawn onto the actual fabric is what is called a veve, and that is a marking
00:11:58that's usually displayed in voldoo ceremonies.
00:12:01And it's exciting to me to see it come to life in an actual garment.
00:12:05You're sending a subliminal message to the judges.
00:12:08Don't with me.
00:12:10Hi, everybody.
00:12:11Hi.
00:12:12Hola, Christian.
00:12:13Hey, Christian.
00:12:14Oh, my gosh.
00:12:15It's so quiet.
00:12:16Really so quiet.
00:12:17There's like an empty table.
00:12:19Yeah.
00:12:20Wow.
00:12:21Sad.
00:12:22And then there were five.
00:12:23And then there were five.
00:12:25All right.
00:12:26I'm coming to see ya.
00:12:27All right.
00:12:28Having been a finalist and having shown my collection before, I know firsthand it really does make
00:12:34a difference in one's career.
00:12:35And this is a place where it's important for a designer to make their march.
00:12:40Brittany.
00:12:41Hey, Christian.
00:12:42We're peacocking.
00:12:43We are.
00:12:44You're almost literally peacocking.
00:12:45This looks like a peacock.
00:12:47Tell me, what's the vibe here?
00:12:48What is your thought?
00:12:49What do you want to do?
00:12:50So, I cut like a flared trouser.
00:12:53And a beautiful blouse.
00:12:54Yeah.
00:12:55And then I was thinking about doing some type of like bow.
00:12:57Bow ascot.
00:12:58Yeah.
00:12:59Like a Gucci feel.
00:13:00Don't go too Gucci.
00:13:01Make it sporty and cool like what you do.
00:13:04Yes.
00:13:05You don't seem like you're worried about doing menswear this time.
00:13:07I'm not.
00:13:08You didn't do great.
00:13:09I've been thinking about it for a long time.
00:13:10You didn't do great last time.
00:13:11I know.
00:13:12I was blessed to have Colin come in for the below deck thing.
00:13:15Yeah.
00:13:16Let me get my bearings.
00:13:17And then having this, it's like, okay, now I've done the technical part.
00:13:20Let me just like actually push an aesthetic for menswear and have fun with it.
00:13:23Yeah.
00:13:24Good luck.
00:13:26I'm excited to see this.
00:13:27Me too.
00:13:28Make it flee.
00:13:29Okay.
00:13:30Hola.
00:13:31Wow.
00:13:32Pleating?
00:13:33Mm-hmm.
00:13:34It gives you a skirt vibe.
00:13:35So, the front is a little shorter than the back.
00:13:36So, I will have a pants underneath.
00:13:38And the top, I want to do a bulletproof vest.
00:13:41A bulletproof what?
00:13:42A bulletproof vest?
00:13:43What do you mean?
00:13:45What are you talking about?
00:13:46Where are we going?
00:13:47A leather bulletproof vest.
00:13:48She just woke up today and said, I want to make a bulletproof vest.
00:13:52Okay.
00:13:53And underneath that, I'll have a very flowy, beautiful chemisier.
00:14:02Even you're laughing because this is insanity.
00:14:05So, he gets a chiffon blouson.
00:14:08A chiffon with me, uh, un peu de paillettes.
00:14:11A paillettes?
00:14:12My head?
00:14:13What?
00:14:14I know it sounds crazy, but in my head, I told you, it looks great.
00:14:16It looks...
00:14:17Oh, well, I'm so happy that in your head, it looks great.
00:14:20Because in my head, you're crazy.
00:14:22No, no.
00:14:23It's a shirtless vest, I promise you.
00:14:24It's actually smaller than the one you're wearing right now.
00:14:27I'm kind of wearing, like, an armored vest.
00:14:29See, that's exactly the same thing.
00:14:30You just have a column.
00:14:31Yeah, totally.
00:14:32Uh-huh.
00:14:33Good luck.
00:14:35I gotta go get my vest tested.
00:14:44Ooh, that looks cool.
00:14:47Rajay.
00:14:48What do these symbols mean?
00:14:50Well, this means wealth.
00:14:51It's called a veve.
00:14:52In a voodoo ceremony, before you call one of the spirits, you trace a sign, and each spirits have their different ones.
00:15:00Mm-hmm.
00:15:01If you're feeling wealthy or grateful, this is one of them.
00:15:04Like, when you cut this, are you gonna lose this beautiful...
00:15:07You are.
00:15:08...but then you lose the symbolism.
00:15:09I don't really want the symbolism so much to be so clear.
00:15:14Mm-hmm.
00:15:15And under, I'm doing a metallic goldish mesh jordanek with this.
00:15:19Oh, that's inside the cape?
00:15:21Yes.
00:15:22Oh, she's a lot of luck.
00:15:24You don't need all three of these fabrics.
00:15:27Just don't do everything.
00:15:29This is your chance.
00:15:30You gotta, like, get on the top again.
00:15:33Yes, I need to get back in that place, or you need to have an ambulance parked up front.
00:15:36But yeah.
00:15:37And it's $5,000.
00:15:38And there's that part, too.
00:15:39That's always nice.
00:15:40That can pay my daughter's legal bill for immigration papers, so...
00:15:43There you go.
00:15:44So then you better fight for this, and this better be so fabulous.
00:15:46It is gonna be fabulous.
00:15:47It's always fabulous, girl.
00:15:48Wow.
00:15:49From season 19, I redrew my entire savings to build my brand.
00:15:55I don't think it's a decision any parent has to make, where you have to decide, do you pay that money to a lawyer for immigration to bring your child here?
00:16:04Or do you spend that money on your business and create something for this child?
00:16:09So when you do bring her here, you have something.
00:16:11Good luck.
00:16:12Thank y'all.
00:16:18Rami.
00:16:19Hi.
00:16:20Look at this.
00:16:21Wow.
00:16:22Do you do men's wear?
00:16:23Generally, no.
00:16:24But I've done a few custom pieces.
00:16:25A few.
00:16:26A few.
00:16:27Okay.
00:16:28You know, but this type of tailoring is new for me.
00:16:29No.
00:16:30New.
00:16:31Men don't typically show skin, so I thought of like a sexy element.
00:16:33Mm-hmm.
00:16:34So I decided to do it an off-shoulder kind of jacket.
00:16:36Yeah.
00:16:37The idea of women constantly wearing this color for bridal, I think it would be kind of nice for a man to wear that in a deconstructed kind of like suit jacket.
00:16:45What goes underneath?
00:16:46Basically pants, but then having sort of like almost looks like a skirt basically.
00:16:49Like looks like a skirt.
00:16:50I like it a lot.
00:16:51Part of my design intention is to include elements of bridal into this unexpected menswear peacocking look.
00:16:58So I want to take those like soft feminine elements and somehow convert them into a menswear look.
00:17:04This has to be sewn.
00:17:06Perfect.
00:17:07Gorgeous.
00:17:08Yes.
00:17:09No, it has to.
00:17:10Okay.
00:17:11For sure.
00:17:12Don't let me down.
00:17:13I won't.
00:17:14I promise.
00:17:15Get to work.
00:17:16All right.
00:17:17Thank you, Christian.
00:17:18Fish me.
00:17:19How's it going?
00:17:20You know.
00:17:21I'm sorry.
00:17:22You gotta meet it right there.
00:17:23There we go.
00:17:24All right.
00:17:25What's the vibe?
00:17:26I like the, the idea of this and this.
00:17:29So like a monochromatic.
00:17:31Yeah.
00:17:32Look.
00:17:33And I was giving him like a Western vibe.
00:17:34In my mind, the Western movies always like our best revenge movies.
00:17:38Cause it didn't feel good being on the bottom.
00:17:40With this.
00:17:41That's interesting.
00:17:42I wanted to do like a dressed up version of a cargo.
00:17:45Then I'm gonna do a vest.
00:17:46Cool.
00:17:47And condo.
00:17:48And this hat.
00:17:49That's like a scarf type of thing.
00:17:51Where would he wear this?
00:17:53To like a movie premiere.
00:17:54Okay.
00:17:55Like.
00:17:56This is his Western new movie.
00:17:59And he's the star.
00:18:00He's like a Western Lenny Kravitz.
00:18:02I'm excited.
00:18:03I think this is really cool.
00:18:04Later.
00:18:05I did it.
00:18:06Oh, you did it right.
00:18:07Look at you.
00:18:08Kind of hurt.
00:18:09All right, designers.
00:18:10You have two hours left to work tonight.
00:18:13Your models will be here tomorrow morning.
00:18:14Yes.
00:18:15Work.
00:18:16Push it.
00:18:17You know.
00:18:18Top five.
00:18:19Oh.
00:18:20I'll see you guys in the morning.
00:18:21Good luck.
00:18:22Bye.
00:18:23Bye.
00:18:24Bye.
00:18:25Smell you later.
00:18:27I felt good.
00:18:28I really wanted to do a cape sleeve.
00:18:37Why don't you do it then?
00:18:38I don't know.
00:18:39I'm trying to figure out how the best way to do it.
00:18:41Last week, I was in a bottom again.
00:18:44So I need to figure out how to turn this suit into a winning look.
00:18:48I can hear the judges like this is too much look or it looks like a costume.
00:18:52There have to be a balance.
00:18:54You have to give the clients what they want in your way.
00:18:58Follow your heart, even though it's cold.
00:19:00It's just dark in there.
00:19:05Guys.
00:19:06Yeah.
00:19:07We are done for today.
00:19:08Let's go home.
00:19:09That's it.
00:19:10All right.
00:19:11Come on, let's get it.
00:19:12Let's get it.
00:19:13Don't leave me here.
00:19:15No.
00:19:16Coming up.
00:19:17Is it work?
00:19:18Yeah, it's great.
00:19:19Is it perfect?
00:19:20The waist is good?
00:19:21Are you adding the bands?
00:19:22Whoa, there's a lot of questions.
00:19:23Oh, you don't care.
00:19:24Don't make it out for me like I don't care.
00:19:25Jesus.
00:19:45Hi, babe.
00:19:46Hi.
00:19:47Top five.
00:19:48That's my girl.
00:19:49So proud of you.
00:19:51I can't believe it.
00:19:52There's only one more challenge for the finale.
00:19:54We were all convinced this was going to be avant-garde.
00:19:57It's menswear.
00:19:58Shut the up.
00:20:01But it's a good one.
00:20:03The whole thing is like peacocking, you know?
00:20:05So it's like over the top, like Harry Styles and Timothee Chalamet.
00:20:08So I'm like popping the off on it.
00:20:10This is what you do every single day.
00:20:11Yeah.
00:20:12Work under pressure.
00:20:13You do all the customs.
00:20:14It's, you know, there's nothing really they can throw at you that is, you know.
00:20:18I'm not prepared for it.
00:20:19Out here.
00:20:20Right.
00:20:21I know.
00:20:22What are you going to do?
00:20:23I love you so much.
00:20:24I love you, baby.
00:20:25All right.
00:20:26We'll talk soon, okay?
00:20:27I'll talk soon.
00:20:28Okay.
00:20:29All right.
00:20:30Bye.
00:20:31Good morning.
00:20:32Hey, Vishmina.
00:20:33Hey there, Ramesha.
00:20:34What's up?
00:20:35What channel are you on today?
00:20:36I'm on channel 64.
00:20:37Really?
00:20:38Once the model's coming, I'm going to be on channel 69.
00:20:40Hey.
00:20:41I made sure I wore my wedding ring.
00:20:45So nobody's confused.
00:20:46I'm a taken woman.
00:20:47Good.
00:20:48Hi.
00:20:49Let me fit you today.
00:20:50I'm married.
00:20:51You are not available to me.
00:20:52No, if Anna was here.
00:20:53Anna's like, hi.
00:20:54Bad divorce for today's.
00:20:55I want to party with you more.
00:20:56Shall we?
00:20:57Yeah.
00:20:58We have to.
00:20:59Anna.
00:21:00Plus we are.
00:21:01She would have lost her mind.
00:21:02No, she would have been gagging.
00:21:03She would have.
00:21:04We're going to have so much fun today.
00:21:05I love her.
00:21:06Okay.
00:21:07We got a lot of to do, and let's go.
00:21:08Let's go do it.
00:21:09All right.
00:21:10Open the door for you ladies.
00:21:25Thank you so much.
00:21:26Enjoy yourselves.
00:21:27Thank you, Mishmina.
00:21:28Hi, guys.
00:21:29Hi, guys.
00:21:30Hey, guys.
00:21:31Hi.
00:21:32We missed you.
00:21:34Hey, you guys.
00:21:35We have 30 minutes until models arrive.
00:21:37Yay.
00:21:38Peacock.
00:21:39Bring it up.
00:21:40Bring it up.
00:21:41Bring it up.
00:21:42Bring it up.
00:21:43Bring it up.
00:21:44Bring it up.
00:21:45Bring it up.
00:21:46Oh, my God.
00:21:51How many pieces do you have?
00:21:52Three, but could be two.
00:21:54I'm drafting the pants so that I have the proportions right.
00:21:57Okay.
00:21:58It's literally like a mathematical equation.
00:21:59This is the front crotch.
00:22:01The pants process is a very tedious one.
00:22:04These are some of the most delicate fabrics,
00:22:06which typically are not used for pants.
00:22:08This is a big risk.
00:22:10I want to make this a finale.
00:22:12I'm getting close.
00:22:13The pressure's on.
00:22:14Praise the fashion gods that this is going to go where you want it to go.
00:22:17Because if something goes wrong, the jig is up.
00:22:20It's a wrap.
00:22:21Ten minutes to models, you guys.
00:22:27God, boys and girls.
00:22:28Boys and girls.
00:22:29Now, ladies, let's be professional.
00:22:31And keep your eyes from the waist up.
00:22:46Hi, designers.
00:22:47Hey, Christian.
00:22:48It's a great day.
00:22:49Who wants a model?
00:22:50Me.
00:22:51I do.
00:22:52Please.
00:22:53And remember, $5,000 is up for grabs.
00:22:56Can't forget.
00:22:57Bring in the men.
00:23:01Some of them are already on the runway.
00:23:02Hi, how are you?
00:23:04You're so adorable.
00:23:05My name is Brittany.
00:23:06I'm Bishop.
00:23:07How are you?
00:23:08Nice to meet you, man.
00:23:09I picked good, right?
00:23:10Yeah, you picked good.
00:23:12Nice to meet you.
00:23:13How's it going?
00:23:16Do you know what this is?
00:23:17A bulletproof vest.
00:23:18A bulletproof vest.
00:23:19Which is interesting.
00:23:21You could keep your pants on, sweetie, just to see where it lands.
00:23:24Well, how boring.
00:23:28Fish me, what are you sewing?
00:23:29I'm sewing, trying to keep things together.
00:23:32Do you not see my model?
00:23:34Did you try a top on?
00:23:36I tried the muslin on them.
00:23:38And it fits?
00:23:39It all fits, girl.
00:23:41This is it?
00:23:42This is it.
00:23:43No cape, nothing?
00:23:44Can I have a minute with my model?
00:23:46Yeah, sure.
00:23:48I'm still working here.
00:23:49If you stop stressing me, there would have been a closure on that.
00:23:52Goodbye.
00:23:53You see what I told you?
00:23:55This diddy's on one more time.
00:23:57So that's going to be stitched down.
00:23:58I just haven't done any major stitching yet.
00:24:01Okay.
00:24:02It's casual.
00:24:03Yeah.
00:24:04Wow.
00:24:05Cool, right?
00:24:06I like it.
00:24:07You're wearing your wedding ring today?
00:24:08I am very much wearing my wedding ring.
00:24:10This reminded me to put it on.
00:24:13That's cute.
00:24:14Why are you making me blush?
00:24:16How long have you been married?
00:24:17I've been married for eight years.
00:24:19That's a long time.
00:24:20Yes, it is.
00:24:21I was a child bride.
00:24:25Um, are you comfortable with how open that is?
00:24:28You good?
00:24:29That's fine.
00:24:30Okay.
00:24:31Don't.
00:24:32Ow.
00:24:33I'm poked.
00:24:34Are you okay?
00:24:35Yeah, I'm poked.
00:24:36Are you serious?
00:24:37All right.
00:24:38Oh.
00:24:39Can you get a band-aid?
00:24:40I'm just praying that there's no blood on my pants.
00:24:45I'm so stressed.
00:24:47Let me see.
00:24:48It's the actual pant.
00:24:49Where?
00:24:50Oh, this piece?
00:24:51Yeah.
00:24:52I mean, look.
00:24:53Bloody hell.
00:24:55That's like every designer's nightmare.
00:24:58Because sometimes you can't get the blood out.
00:25:00I got to figure out how to wash it.
00:25:03I wouldn't wash it, Bishmi.
00:25:04Can you just re-put the panel in?
00:25:06It's the actual pant.
00:25:07Oh, this piece?
00:25:08Yeah.
00:25:09I mean, look.
00:25:10Oh, .
00:25:11I mean, honestly, you could literally, like, cut this out and then cut a new pocket.
00:25:25I don't think you should wash it.
00:25:26Yeah.
00:25:27You could just make a new little strip.
00:25:29It'll take you five minutes.
00:25:30I don't want your blood on the look.
00:25:32No.
00:25:33Maybe it's a part of the look.
00:25:35What happened?
00:25:36The vest had pins in it.
00:25:37The chin just melted on it?
00:25:39No.
00:25:40That's blood.
00:25:41Oh, um, hydroproxide.
00:25:44It will come off, girl.
00:25:46Thank you, girl.
00:25:47Got you, boo.
00:25:48Because I don't got time making a whole different pant.
00:25:51Yay, yay.
00:25:52Okay, hold on.
00:25:53Let me see what it just looks like as a knot.
00:25:56Ooh, those fit great.
00:25:57Those are going to be the silk pants under the skirt.
00:25:58Creamy whites.
00:25:59Creamy, flowy.
00:26:00Yeah, my creamy whites.
00:26:01Flow as white.
00:26:02Project.
00:26:03It came out.
00:26:04You get a hug, too.
00:26:05Come here.
00:26:06You like how low this hits?
00:26:07Yeah, I want it low.
00:26:08Okay, you want it low.
00:26:09Yeah.
00:26:10Okay.
00:26:11Yeah, I want it low.
00:26:12You need the blouse.
00:26:13Yes, yes, yes, of course.
00:26:14Yeah.
00:26:15I mean, even though I love the idea of skin, but it's not red carpet enough.
00:26:16Yeah, yeah, no, no.
00:26:17I wouldn't send you out like that.
00:26:18It's very cool, very sexy.
00:26:19I mean, it's very cute.
00:26:21I still have to whip up a shirt, which I'm going to do tomorrow, because I don't have all
00:26:24the answers for that one yet.
00:26:25I'm a magician.
00:26:26I'll do it.
00:26:27Hello?
00:26:28You don't have time to chat with cute boys.
00:26:29Let's wrap it up.
00:26:30Does it work?
00:26:31Yeah, it's great.
00:26:32It's perfect.
00:26:33You don't want to try the bows, the drapes, the thingies?
00:26:35Are you adding the bands?
00:26:36Whoa, there's a lot of questions.
00:26:37Yes, they're all here.
00:26:38So I'm going to top stitch those on.
00:26:39Can't you try what you're going to do with these things?
00:26:40Can't you try what you're going to do with these things?
00:26:41Can't you try what you're going to do with these things?
00:26:43No, no, no.
00:26:44Or you don't care?
00:26:45I do care.
00:26:46Don't I get out and feel like I don't care?
00:26:47I know.
00:26:48Jesus.
00:26:49I'm just kidding, let's go.
00:27:11Interesting.
00:27:13I love the bow.
00:27:14Christian, where are you?
00:27:16Rajay, it's always eating me.
00:27:17Christian.
00:27:18I'm coming to you, honey.
00:27:23Your opinion?
00:27:25My opinion is I don't think the piece in the back
00:27:27should be pleated.
00:27:28So I think maybe it should be a simple panel.
00:27:31If you're gonna do the sleeve,
00:27:32they kind of fight each other.
00:27:34And the front of this crotch and the waist is good?
00:27:37Yes. Are you sure?
00:27:39Yes, because I'm not done, Christian.
00:27:40I just literally sewed this thing so he can slide it on.
00:27:43God, who sent you?
00:27:46You sent for me.
00:27:47I didn't send for you, girl.
00:27:48You called me like a little dog.
00:27:49When I send for you, you'll know.
00:27:51Trust me, you will know when I send for you.
00:28:00All right, designers, that's it.
00:28:01That's time.
00:28:02Say goodbye to your models.
00:28:04Thank them.
00:28:08Have a nice one.
00:28:09All right, designers, tomorrow is show day.
00:28:11And I know you guys are getting tired.
00:28:13Yeah.
00:28:14But you gotta keep it moving.
00:28:16Keep your eye on the big prize.
00:28:18Yep.
00:28:19Good luck, and I'll see you tomorrow.
00:28:20All right.
00:28:21Thanks, Christian.
00:28:22All right, bye.
00:28:22Can't wait.
00:28:29Brittany, what do you think of men's fashion today
00:28:32and like how it's evolved?
00:28:33In the past, you know, it's always been so boring.
00:28:36Nobody was willing to take risks because of the fear of being
00:28:40perceived as feminine.
00:28:41But now it's like people are embracing just who they are,
00:28:45you know?
00:28:46Yeah.
00:28:47We need to step outside of that whole men should dress this way
00:28:50versus women should dress that way, I think.
00:28:52Agreed.
00:28:53What I love most about fashion is that ideas and designs
00:28:58can actually make an impact.
00:29:01My mother passed away at the age of 38 from a blood clot
00:29:05in the brain.
00:29:06I was five years old.
00:29:07My grandmother wore black for probably 10 years.
00:29:11I was too young to remember, but she told me that I used to hold
00:29:14her hand and take her to her closet at the age of seven years
00:29:18old and point to the colorful dresses and not the black to tell
00:29:22her like what to wear.
00:29:24Now, looking back, like that was a defining moment.
00:29:26The beauty of fashion is that there are no rules.
00:29:29It's an opportunity to be playful, and it's an opportunity
00:29:32to kind of like break some molds.
00:29:33And I want to do that.
00:29:40All right, guys, that's time.
00:29:42We're heading to the lounge to get some drinks.
00:29:44Who's thirsty?
00:29:45I'm a little thirsty.
00:29:46Let's do it.
00:29:48I'm just caressing my man.
00:29:49Ooh, he's sexy.
00:29:51Mm-hmm.
00:29:53Shake that thing.
00:29:56Where are your things to open the theater?
00:29:59I feel like honey.
00:30:01Oh, my goodness.
00:30:02Ooh.
00:30:03Oh, this looks great.
00:30:04Look at her.
00:30:05She's a professional.
00:30:06I'm here for it.
00:30:07I want whatever you're making.
00:30:09Ooh, merci beaucoup.
00:30:11I bartended for a few years.
00:30:13Do peacocks fly?
00:30:14No.
00:30:15No.
00:30:17Getting people drunk.
00:30:18It's art.
00:30:19Let's go.
00:30:20Oh, my goodness.
00:30:23Coming up?
00:30:23To me, it's a confused business man who moonlights at, like,
00:30:27an S&M bar.
00:30:36Women's wear.
00:30:37Women's wear.
00:30:38Women's wear.
00:30:39Yay, workroom.
00:30:40Let's do it.
00:30:41Finish up.
00:30:42Everybody.
00:30:44Where we at?
00:30:44Where we at?
00:30:45What we doing?
00:30:45What we doing?
00:30:46Anybody have a needle?
00:30:48Somewhere here in this bag.
00:30:50Yep, yep, yep.
00:30:52Anytime, anytime.
00:30:54I like when it's quiet in here.
00:30:56I be in my head so much.
00:30:57He is a little ball, just in case you missed it.
00:31:03You missed it.
00:31:05Everything is a musical.
00:31:09I used to sing in the choir.
00:31:11I hear it, girl.
00:31:11I was a flat-out choir boy.
00:31:13Ramesha a professional today.
00:31:15I know, right?
00:31:15He's been stuck there and .
00:31:17I got my work uniform on.
00:31:19I am ready for the office today, honey.
00:31:22Let me tell you.
00:31:23Cinched, tucked, and ready to go.
00:31:25Ready to go?
00:31:26He's going to the ball.
00:31:28Hi, everybody.
00:31:29Hey.
00:31:30Hi, Christian.
00:31:31How's it going?
00:31:32Great.
00:31:33It's going.
00:31:34Is it red carpet ready?
00:31:36Almost.
00:31:37Look at me.
00:31:38I'm peacocking.
00:31:39You are.
00:31:40Cute.
00:31:41Oh, Christian, yes.
00:31:43I'm here for that.
00:31:44I like that.
00:31:44I wanted to fit the challenge.
00:31:46Oh, you do.
00:31:47Let's get your models in here.
00:31:48We're ready.
00:31:49Yay.
00:31:50Bring them in.
00:31:51The boys.
00:31:54Oh, good morning, boys.
00:31:56Morning, morning.
00:31:57What's up, man?
00:31:58How are you?
00:31:58You at work, bitch.
00:32:00Hola, how are you?
00:32:02So I'd love to slip on the pants.
00:32:04I want to try this on real quick on you.
00:32:06And then by the time you get back,
00:32:07I'll have a whole new shirt for you.
00:32:10I'm so excited.
00:32:11Honestly, it's going to be so sick.
00:32:13Everybody is turning out looks.
00:32:15All right, this is good.
00:32:16All right.
00:32:18I'm also going to put pockets in this.
00:32:20So when you come back, you have everything done.
00:32:24Oh, man, it's like a.
00:32:26Cool.
00:32:28How do they feel?
00:32:30Yeah, good?
00:32:31OK, awesome.
00:32:31All right, designers, when you're ready,
00:32:33take your model to the makeup studio
00:32:35and the Tresme hair salon.
00:32:37OK, great.
00:32:38I want to see some looks.
00:32:39Hello.
00:32:40Hi.
00:32:41Hi, hi, hi, hi.
00:32:43Smuck his eyes a little bit.
00:32:44I'd love, like, two braids.
00:32:49Ooh, la, la.
00:32:54Oh, .
00:32:58Still out running today.
00:32:59Time has been fast.
00:33:00It is.
00:33:01Shot.
00:33:03How you doing, Bishmina?
00:33:04My nerves are.
00:33:06What did you say, your nerves are shot?
00:33:07Yeah.
00:33:08I think it's because it's just men's stuff.
00:33:10You just want to make sure it's right.
00:33:12You just got to, you know, keep on stitching.
00:33:16That's the name of the game.
00:33:17That's the name of the game.
00:33:18That's right.
00:33:23You love it with this blouse?
00:33:25Maybe, maybe not.
00:33:26I don't know.
00:33:30Let's try it without.
00:33:32Yeah.
00:33:34As a designer, we always come to a crossroad where we have
00:33:37to make a decision.
00:33:40And then I realized that I don't like it either.
00:33:43At this point, I'd rather have three pieces that I love
00:33:47than add something else to it that's going to throw me off.
00:33:50So I know I'm taking a chance.
00:33:53But at this point, I got to trust myself.
00:33:56Yo.
00:33:5730 minutes until the show, people.
00:34:00Very stressful.
00:34:03That's the hem?
00:34:04That's a big, puffy hem.
00:34:06OK, OK, I'm going to.
00:34:07All right.
00:34:08Let me finish, please.
00:34:09You have like 20 minutes.
00:34:10OK.
00:34:1020 minutes.
00:34:11I'm leaving you.
00:34:11I'm leaving you.
00:34:12That's why.
00:34:12This is going to be a dope show, though.
00:34:14Well, all our shows would be dope, but.
00:34:16Hell, you.
00:34:16Hell, yeah.
00:34:17This is it.
00:34:19Underneath.
00:34:22Rajay.
00:34:24Oh, god.
00:34:28That bronze mesh top?
00:34:30Yeah, that's what we discussed, right?
00:34:32Just so, yeah, just a little simple turtleneck top.
00:34:35She's going to the red carpet.
00:34:36Like, he's dressed well-dressed, put together.
00:34:38OK.
00:34:39Mm-hmm.
00:34:40I cannot stand you sometimes, you know?
00:34:45I think this challenge, there is a very fine line
00:34:48between what can turn into a costume.
00:34:50So I'm not trying to get kicked off the ship
00:34:54because I didn't edit.
00:34:56What's your vest look like?
00:34:58It's like a dope wraparound vest.
00:34:59Oh, this is the pieces that hang?
00:35:01Yeah.
00:35:02It look dope.
00:35:03You'll see it.
00:35:03It looks cool.
00:35:04I really, really like it.
00:35:05All right.
00:35:06I love it.
00:35:07I hope you love it when it's on.
00:35:09Well, I mean, I love the concept.
00:35:10Where's your bow?
00:35:22Right here.
00:35:23Hmm.
00:35:24Do you like her?
00:35:25I just think it kind of finishes it.
00:35:26I mean, it's really easy just to tack on, so.
00:35:27You don't think?
00:35:28Yeah.
00:35:29Let me just see.
00:35:30I think it looks like nothing without it.
00:35:31Are you holding it?
00:35:32It is aggressive, but it's like, isn't that the point?
00:35:44OK.
00:35:45I'm going to go ahead and add the bow
00:35:46and just embrace that it is extra and ridiculous,
00:35:51but it is part of the whole trend.
00:35:53And if they hate it, you can blame it on me.
00:35:55Christian said I should put this bow on it.
00:35:59Brittany's look is a Gucci look.
00:36:02These pants are shining like a beacon of hope.
00:36:06Last week, Carter went home for shiny pants.
00:36:08I think where you lost me was with the oversized pants.
00:36:13So, bad move on Brittany's part.
00:36:16See you next time.
00:36:18All right, we can start dressing.
00:36:20All right, one minute, designers,
00:36:21and we're leaving this room.
00:36:23One minute.
00:36:24Oh, I'm so excited.
00:36:25I just can't.
00:36:30Holy sucker.
00:36:31Business.
00:36:32OK.
00:36:33Be dieting.
00:36:37All right, designers, that's it.
00:36:39That's time.
00:36:39Time for the show.
00:36:41Come on, everybody.
00:36:42Don't get crazy with that walk.
00:36:45Don't rip your butt out.
00:36:46Don't do that.
00:36:47Don't kick.
00:36:48Oh, Lord.
00:36:49Woo.
00:36:49Now, I got you.
00:36:50Mm-hmm.
00:36:51Gorgeous.
00:36:53Great.
00:36:54Uh-huh.
00:36:55I got your shoes.
00:36:57All right.
00:36:57Let's go.
00:37:00All right, designers, five minutes.
00:37:02Last look, five minutes.
00:37:04And Lord, you need it.
00:37:06I see threads everywhere.
00:37:08Fix it, please.
00:37:09Hand sewing.
00:37:10In this lighting, my fabric is looking a lot burgundy.
00:37:14Then it did pink.
00:37:16Yikes.
00:37:17So with the train, before you go out every time,
00:37:20just make sure that it's flat behind you.
00:37:22One minute, designers.
00:37:23One minute.
00:37:24I was looking around, and I was thinking, oh, look,
00:37:26it's really working for me right now.
00:37:29None of them.
00:37:30Designers, that's it.
00:37:31That's time.
00:37:32$5,000 on the line.
00:37:34Get to the wrong way.
00:37:35Woo!
00:37:44So amazing.
00:37:45Hi, designers.
00:37:47Hi.
00:37:48There's just five of you.
00:37:51I know.
00:37:52Oh, my God.
00:37:53Tonight, four of you will move one step closer
00:37:58towards the finale and taking home the grand prize.
00:38:02Yes.
00:38:03It's getting really hard for you and for us.
00:38:08All right, guys.
00:38:09I could not be more excited to introduce you
00:38:12to tonight's guest judge.
00:38:14Although he needs no introduction.
00:38:16Let's be honest.
00:38:18He's one of the stars of Euphoria,
00:38:21Emmy-winning and Tony-nominated actor,
00:38:24writer, director.
00:38:26Nobody peacocks better than this man.
00:38:28Work, work.
00:38:30My dear friend, Coleman Dominguez!
00:38:33Yeah!
00:38:34Aw!
00:38:35Hello, designers.
00:38:36Hello.
00:38:37I'm so excited to be here.
00:38:39Truly.
00:38:40And just judging by your own personal style,
00:38:42I can't wait to see what you have coming out.
00:38:46He is the epitome of peacocking.
00:38:49He keeps it so out of this box, and he's not afraid to wear print colors.
00:38:54And every time you see him on the red carpet, he looks amazing.
00:39:00We've actually never done a red carpet menswear challenge on Project Runway,
00:39:05so we can't wait to see what you guys all deliver.
00:39:09Let's start the show.
00:39:11Good luck, everybody.
00:39:12Good luck.
00:39:12Good luck.
00:39:13I'm so excited.
00:39:27That's hot.
00:39:28Pretty proud of this look.
00:39:30The fabric is really shining.
00:39:32It's really beautiful.
00:39:33It's got movement.
00:39:35The top is so adorable.
00:39:37It's a little sexy because it's got the see through organza.
00:39:40And it just, it really adds to this look.
00:39:45Menswear was the thing that just sent me
00:39:48into a complete spiral my original season.
00:39:52I love how it's like playing with history in many ways.
00:39:54You get 70s, you get Victorian, you get Edwardian,
00:39:57all in one look, I love it.
00:39:59Totally.
00:40:03It's validating that I've worked really hard
00:40:05to come back from the things that kind of set me back.
00:40:10I'm just feeling chills at the butterflies
00:40:25because the silk is just floating,
00:40:27the train is moving around,
00:40:29the pants are light as a feather,
00:40:31the jacket looks really cool.
00:40:35Can you see someone actually wearing that
00:40:36like on the red carpet?
00:40:37I could.
00:40:40This look embodies both masculine and the feminine,
00:40:44two energies that I think are present in most people.
00:40:52I think that this is a great way to see it come to life
00:40:55in the form of a design.
00:40:57My look doesn't compete with anybody else,
00:41:00and it has its own shining moment.
00:41:13I'm taking it in.
00:41:14It is made for me.
00:41:16Definitely something that I would wear.
00:41:17I love the painting.
00:41:19I love what it's doing, but the overall look,
00:41:21it's almost kind of falling flat a little bit.
00:41:28I love high-waisted pants.
00:41:29I love the pleats.
00:41:31This is my kind of nod to retro,
00:41:33but the color is very burgundy right now on the runway.
00:41:37I can already feel that it's going to be a problem because it is a problem for me.
00:41:47But I think this is enough to stay in this competition.
00:41:50I feel 75% okay.
00:42:05I love the pants.
00:42:06I love the kilt.
00:42:07I'm in love with the gilet par ball, the vest.
00:42:10It's just, I did not picture it like that.
00:42:17You know, when I have a specific vision and the piece is missing,
00:42:21then you can't see the whole thing.
00:42:23So I'm just a little bit disappointed.
00:42:30Did you say that's a kilt?
00:42:32Yes, okay.
00:42:37A blue kilt.
00:42:40I'm feeling excited as I see Eric walk down the runway.
00:42:56The fedora shawl is dragging exactly how it needed to go.
00:42:59The color looks amazing on him, and he is looking so good,
00:43:04and this is making me happy.
00:43:05How could I be at the bottom with this innovative look?
00:43:12Get out of here.
00:43:15I'm always pushing myself to create new things.
00:43:19I feel like you can work a couple looks with it, you know what I mean?
00:43:22The colors, everything.
00:43:25The hat I struggled with.
00:43:26Mm, same.
00:43:33It's so hard.
00:43:37You know, it's like we're getting to that point.
00:43:39It's really so hard.
00:43:41You know what I mean?
00:43:42Yes, sir.
00:43:46I'm stressed.
00:43:47Designers, thank you for bringing the red carpet menswear to the runway tonight.
00:44:01Woo!
00:44:02We've scored your designs.
00:44:05One of you will be the winner and take home $5,000.
00:44:10And one of you will be out.
00:44:14We'd like to talk to everyone tonight.
00:44:16Only five of you left.
00:44:20Let's bring out one of our favorite looks of the night.
00:44:23Here comes the model.
00:44:24I feel short.
00:44:32I know.
00:44:33Rami, you're in the top.
00:44:36Grateful for it.
00:44:37And I can't help but reflect on the fact that at one point during this competition, you went home.
00:44:43Yeah.
00:44:43So it's great to see you on the top.
00:44:45It's great to be.
00:44:45Tell us everything about your look, about peacocking.
00:44:48I want to kind of somehow merge the romance of womenswear with the structure of menswear.
00:44:55And then I wanted to kind of bring a sexy element, which is exposing one arm.
00:45:00I just wanted something that could be suitable for tying the knot ceremony or a red carpet or something in that sense.
00:45:08I loved this.
00:45:10This felt original.
00:45:12I think you did a great job.
00:45:13I'm going to throw it to Coleman.
00:45:15Would you wear this?
00:45:17You know what?
00:45:18I would wear it.
00:45:19The stylist that I worked with asked me when I was going to my first Emmys, what did I want to wear and what I want to feel like?
00:45:25I said something elegant in my best self.
00:45:28And I said, what about the color cream?
00:45:30Because cream is so classic and you're always understated no matter how fantastic the design.
00:45:35I said, that's perfect.
00:45:36So when this came out, it reminded me of all those feelings.
00:45:39Thank you so much.
00:45:40I appreciate that.
00:45:41There's some fit issues.
00:45:43I think there's something about the fabric that looks a little bit inexpensive, but ultimately, the idea spoke to me so much that I was willing to overlook some of that.
00:45:54This is a draping delight.
00:45:56So this tunic is two pieces, right?
00:45:58Yes.
00:45:59Yes.
00:46:00The pants are separate.
00:46:01He put the pants on first.
00:46:02They have a zipper in them.
00:46:03And then I wrapped the skirt around over the pants and then the jacket came on.
00:46:07This is my finale look.
00:46:08I think I could wear this.
00:46:09I feel like my left arm and armpit is one of my better features.
00:46:14And I feel like this is something that I could wear.
00:46:18Thank you so much, Rami.
00:46:20Thank you so much.
00:46:21We're happy to see you in the top.
00:46:22Pleasure.
00:46:23Tice, you may leave the runway.
00:46:24Oh my God.
00:46:25Let's bring out one of our highest scores of the night.
00:46:28Let's get the model out here.
00:46:29Come on, dance moves.
00:46:34Good job, boo.
00:46:35Thank you, boo.
00:46:36Bishmi, how are you?
00:46:37I'm happy as hell, Brandon.
00:46:38How are you?
00:46:39Good.
00:46:40My look, I had an idea of my actor premiering like a Wild Wild West movie premiere, like
00:46:51he was the star of it.
00:46:52I love color, so I wanted to try something I feel that would complement his skin tone.
00:46:57And this is what I came up with.
00:47:00I thought it was so cool.
00:47:02It's so playful.
00:47:03And I love how it's a little play on some street wear as well, the cargo element to it.
00:47:08Oh, thank you.
00:47:09I could see many brothers wearing this and rocking and feeling confident and feeling like
00:47:12you're going to stand out and make a statement.
00:47:15You took the opportunity to peacock and you put a capital P on it, okay?
00:47:19I thought that the cut and fit of this look really celebrated the best of your model.
00:47:26I mean, look at those pecs.
00:47:28Look at those arms.
00:47:29I know, Brandon, stop.
00:47:30I hear the judgment.
00:47:31I am a married woman, but I can complement a man's great body.
00:47:35You have a great body.
00:47:36He looks sexy.
00:47:37We never say that to the women and then the men come on.
00:47:40You guys are like, love the pecs.
00:47:42We talk about their figures.
00:47:43I love that Bishmi always thinks about the body.
00:47:48I appreciate that.
00:47:49I'd love to see it without the hat for one minute.
00:47:52One more second.
00:47:53Me too.
00:47:54He looks sharp.
00:47:55I think that the fact that you made the hat and the shawl in the same color,
00:48:00that's where it turns the corner into costume, but it made us look.
00:48:05That's for sure.
00:48:06I think it's a great, great suit.
00:48:08And I think it was less the hat so much it was the fabric of the hat.
00:48:13Gotcha.
00:48:14And I don't know that it did the most service to the clothes themselves.
00:48:18I just wanted to add just a touch of something that's like dramatic.
00:48:22I wanted to do a train, but I was like,
00:48:24I didn't want to put a train in the most obvious way.
00:48:27So I was like, let me put it in the brim of the hat.
00:48:29I think it's like A for effort with the ideas.
00:48:32Gotcha.
00:48:33Thank you, Brandon.
00:48:34Thank you, Bishmi.
00:48:35Eric, you can leave the runway.
00:48:38All right, unfortunately, the next look was one of our least favorites.
00:48:42Here comes the model.
00:48:44What's it going to be?
00:48:47All right, Praj, tell us about your look.
00:48:50Well, I wanted to take a little take onto the butler's jacket
00:48:54by recreating my own fabric.
00:48:56So I actually painted over this.
00:48:58I wanted to keep it somewhat fresh with the C2 turtleneck.
00:49:02It's not my favorite.
00:49:05And I hate the copper mesh turtleneck.
00:49:09That's what really disturbed me.
00:49:12It's just too much shine with shine.
00:49:15It just felt like there were a lot of ideas all in the same direction.
00:49:19Talk to me about the color story.
00:49:21I thought this color being pink was so bold that it would have translated better.
00:49:27This mesh, I really wanted like a metallic something, and that's the one that I could find.
00:49:32I think it's very important for men who are walking red carpets to know what story they're telling.
00:49:38And I think I lean on a designer to also help me tell that story.
00:49:44And so if the story's unclear, it doesn't resonate.
00:49:47It felt like a nutcracker just waiting to go to the gay club.
00:49:52Like, I don't know.
00:49:53That's what it felt to me.
00:49:55Your painting and your artistic point of view, it is something that we love so much about you.
00:50:01This felt not as elevated as we've seen from you before.
00:50:05Okay, Praj, thank you.
00:50:07Damani, you can leave the runway.
00:50:09Our next look of the night was one of our favorites.
00:50:12Let's bring out the model.
00:50:17Okay, how's it going?
00:50:18All right, Brittany, tell us about your peacocked look.
00:50:21So, my thought was hairy or like, Timothee Chalamet,
00:50:25and I wanted you to look at the whole look itself and be confused as to
00:50:29if the pieces were pulled from a menswear collection or a womenswear collection.
00:50:33If this hit a wonderful store, there will be a run.
00:50:36There will be a fight between me, Jeremy Pope, Harry Styles, and Timothee Chalamet for this look.
00:50:42That is hot.
00:50:44I would wear that out.
00:50:46It is sexy.
00:50:47It is Victorian.
00:50:48It is disco.
00:50:49So, Timothee who?
00:50:50Harry what?
00:50:51It became about you.
00:50:53It's such a fun look.
00:50:55I love the oversized bow, that blouse, and there's something about the fabric of the pant I have to say.
00:51:01Have I seen it before?
00:51:03Yes.
00:51:04It does look a little bit Gucci.
00:51:06I'm not saying that as a good or a bad thing, it just needs to be said.
00:51:10On Timothee and Harry.
00:51:12Yeah.
00:51:13But I'm not mad at you.
00:51:14No.
00:51:15Because whatever got you to this place is great.
00:51:19It is referential, but here is what I think is very unique.
00:51:24I recognize those pants.
00:51:26I recognize those closures.
00:51:28I know that is Britney.
00:51:30Is he going to be a showstopper on the red carpet?
00:51:33Yes, he will.
00:51:34Thank you, Nina.
00:51:35We have talked throughout this competition about things we have seen before on other looks from you.
00:51:41So while I wildly love this and everybody else loves this, next challenge, let's also think about originality, right?
00:51:47Thanks.
00:51:48All right.
00:51:49Thank you so much, Britney.
00:51:51Kenan, you can dance off the runway.
00:51:53All right.
00:51:55The next look of the night had one of our lowest scores.
00:51:58Let's get the model out here.
00:52:04Laurence, tell us about your look.
00:52:06My client in my head was Lenny Kravitz going down.
00:52:11I was going to a musical event for a red carpet.
00:52:14So I wanted to play with the kilt type of vibe with a suit pants and a bulletproof vest.
00:52:19I must say that this wasn't the most inspired red carpet look for me.
00:52:25It didn't peacock enough.
00:52:27If you're going to go rock star, go full out.
00:52:29Yeah.
00:52:30I picked another fabric to do like a cool metallic shirt, but I wasn't sure about it.
00:52:36So I just decided not to go with it.
00:52:38Okay.
00:52:39Yeah.
00:52:40Laurence.
00:52:41Yes.
00:52:42The girl who's on fire.
00:52:44Mm-hmm.
00:52:46I am confused about the vision.
00:52:50Kind of two different vibes that are put together in a way that's confusing, especially with the shoe.
00:52:55For me, this was a miss.
00:52:56All right.
00:52:58It's just two different things in one.
00:53:01To me, it's a confused businessman who moonlights at like an S&M bar.
00:53:12I'm going to ask you something that Coleman pointed out.
00:53:17What is the story with this look?
00:53:21So first I was thinking about a version of me, but as a male, so a very masculine man with a feminine, a little feminine side.
00:53:34The bulletproof vest with the pleated skirt.
00:53:39I mean, is it just opposites working?
00:53:42That's what I do a lot with my own style.
00:53:44So for me, it doesn't shock me, but like I said, I understand if it's a no-go for a lot of people.
00:53:50I mean, you could wear this if you were Lenny Kravitz.
00:53:52Yeah.
00:53:53But with a different shoe.
00:53:54That skirt you could wear if you were Lenny Kravitz.
00:53:56Me, I mean, I would sit down that bus right now.
00:53:58I do think Lenny Kravitz could probably pull off everything, this included.
00:54:02The pieces by themselves are okay.
00:54:05They're tasteful.
00:54:07That vest is impeccable.
00:54:09But I feel like I'm missing the story.
00:54:11Yeah.
00:54:12It just doesn't work together.
00:54:15Thank you so much.
00:54:17Michael, you can leave the runway.
00:54:22Designers, thank you so much for this very fun peacocking challenge.
00:54:27We're going to ask you to leave the runway.
00:54:30We will call you back when we're ready.
00:54:36You okay?
00:54:37I'm good.
00:54:38Okay.
00:54:39This challenge was all about standing out on the red carpet.
00:54:41And three designers did that really, really well.
00:54:43Brittany, Rami, and Bishmi.
00:54:45All right, let's talk about Rami for a minute.
00:54:47Okay.
00:54:48It's really nice to see Rami pushing himself.
00:54:51I just thought that there was a really original idea there.
00:54:54I love that he's going for that mix between masculine and feminine.
00:54:57I thought it was beautiful.
00:54:59Yeah.
00:55:00Rami's look felt really inspired and very original.
00:55:03And ultimately, it was peacocking in sort of this, like, quiet, elegant way.
00:55:08Yeah.
00:55:09You know, you're wearing that on, like, your best night.
00:55:11I am kind of obsessed with a tuxedo for men or for women.
00:55:16And I've seen a lot of tuxedos.
00:55:18But I haven't seen one like this.
00:55:21The one sleeve, the draping, the pants, the tunic over the pants.
00:55:26It was fantastic.
00:55:27Should we talk about Bishmi?
00:55:29Bishmi gave us a moment.
00:55:31Like, we're asking them to give us peacocking menswear.
00:55:34He did that with a capital P.
00:55:36I love the color.
00:55:37Yeah.
00:55:38I still wanted one element to go away.
00:55:42That hat.
00:55:43You were right.
00:55:44The hat was not working for me at all.
00:55:46For the runway, you need to get the attention of the audience.
00:55:52And this hat is an accessory just to do that, right?
00:55:56Yes.
00:55:57He knows how to bring the bold into his design.
00:56:01I could see Bishmi putting on a runway show.
00:56:05Agree.
00:56:06He has it.
00:56:07Agree.
00:56:08I still did not like the hat.
00:56:09Should we talk about Britney?
00:56:11You guys, I think Britney's hitting her stride.
00:56:13It feels so good to watch a designer come on this show and just listen to the feedback
00:56:20and just get better and better and better.
00:56:22And that's what we're seeing from Britney.
00:56:23Britney's outfit is really inspired.
00:56:25It's fun.
00:56:26It's playful.
00:56:27It's poetic.
00:56:28It's folded in together to tell a cohesive story.
00:56:30And I agree with what you said, Elaine.
00:56:32To see her pushing herself and coming out with something great is exciting.
00:56:36I loved those pants.
00:56:39But it is a bit referential.
00:56:41I mean, that look, Harry Styles has worn that look, actually.
00:56:47We've seen that pant in another fabric.
00:56:50Really?
00:56:51The look has been done.
00:56:53It's not totally original, but it's fun.
00:56:55And that's kind of the moment that we're living in.
00:56:57So do we all know who our winner is?
00:56:59We all agree?
00:57:00We all agree.
00:57:01All right.
00:57:02There's two designers that are in the bottom, Praje and Laurence.
00:57:07Their feathers were spread, but unfortunately they did not grab our attention in a good way.
00:57:13Praje's look, the story was really confusing to me.
00:57:18I don't know what I'm looking at.
00:57:19Right.
00:57:20I just don't understand what this is and who is it for.
00:57:22It wasn't my favorite look.
00:57:24I wouldn't know what I was trying to do on this carpet.
00:57:26I absolutely agree.
00:57:27And nothing in the year of 2023 has offended Nina Garcia more than this gold mesh turtleneck.
00:57:36Copper.
00:57:37Copper.
00:57:38The pink with the copper, it was so weird.
00:57:41But it wasn't even pink.
00:57:42This combination of colors here was so odd.
00:57:46Which is so strange because he's a painter.
00:57:49I love Praje's art.
00:57:50I did not need it all over this suit tonight.
00:57:53It was just a case of everything gone wrong.
00:57:57I'm not sure what happened to the Praje who was such a confident artist and designer who gave us complete looks.
00:58:06I think he's so in his head about the feedback that he's gotten that he's lost.
00:58:10I think the editing might have confused him a bit, but I think Praje just might have been very confused with the challenge.
00:58:16He has done some incredibly dramatic looks.
00:58:21But can we talk about...
00:58:23I mean, he did do something dramatic tonight, just wasn't...
00:58:25Not that good dramatic.
00:58:26No, it's a good dramatic.
00:58:27But can we talk about Laurence?
00:58:28No drama at all.
00:58:29What happened?
00:58:31How can Laurence be on top two weeks in a row and then fall to pieces?
00:58:36The proportion of the vest that looked like a midriff and the low-cut skirt.
00:58:43I was like, what happens there?
00:58:45There's no pop to it, right?
00:58:47Yeah, you're right.
00:58:48There is no peacocking here.
00:58:49There's no peacocking here.
00:58:51Thank you for focusing us.
00:58:52It's like, please don't look at me.
00:58:53Although I might be going to the leather bar after with this.
00:58:56But I want to add one thing about Laurence and Praje.
00:58:59They both actually said the same thing.
00:59:01They would say, well, I like it.
00:59:02I like the look.
00:59:03It shouldn't just necessarily be about what you like.
00:59:06It's about the task at hand.
00:59:08Right.
00:59:09And that is how it goes on the red carpet.
00:59:11You really have to step outside of yourself and say, you know what?
00:59:14I have to put a little of myself in here, but mostly it's about the client.
00:59:17You're absolutely right about that.
00:59:19Yeah.
00:59:20All right.
00:59:21So do we all know who's going home?
00:59:22Unfortunately, yeah.
00:59:23We have our final four.
00:59:25Let's get them back out here.
00:59:28Designers, tonight we decide the final four.
00:59:43You all delivered bold and exciting menswear looks tonight
00:59:47that are worthy of best dressed lists everywhere.
00:59:50But only one of you can be the winner and take home $5,000 tonight.
00:59:55Woo!
00:59:57Vishmi, Rami, Brittany, one of you will be the winner of this challenge.
01:00:03The winning look was completely original and elevated male peacocking to a whole new level.
01:00:11The winner is...
01:00:19Rami.
01:00:20Woo!
01:00:21Congratulations.
01:00:22Take me out to dinner.
01:00:24Yay!
01:00:25Let's go.
01:00:26Thank you so much.
01:00:27Finally.
01:00:28Have you not won a challenge?
01:00:29Nothing.
01:00:30Well, tonight's the night.
01:00:32Well, tonight's the night.
01:00:33Oh, that's so great.
01:00:34Yay!
01:00:35Rami, how does it feel?
01:00:36Come on.
01:00:37It feels amazing, especially during something that's outside of my comfort zone and this amazing
01:00:41man with us.
01:00:42I'm honored.
01:00:43And the $5,000.
01:00:45Well, congratulations, Rami.
01:00:49It's very exciting when Nina Garcia, who has seen everything, has not seen a look before.
01:00:59We're very proud of you.
01:01:00Thank you so much.
01:01:03Bishmi and Brittany, you are also in.
01:01:06All three of you can leave the runway.
01:01:09Thank you so much.
01:01:13Nice meeting you.
01:01:14Nice to meet you too, friend.
01:01:17Congrats, you guys.
01:01:19Oh, my God!
01:01:21Come on!
01:01:23I know.
01:01:26Roger and Laurence, one of you will be in and one of you will be in.
01:01:31We will be out.
01:01:35Laurence, your design was too reserved.
01:01:38We did not understand the proportions and we felt like it was two looks that did not come together.
01:01:45Roger, your color story and fabric choice were confusing and there were too many ideas that did not go your way.
01:01:55I'm very sorry to say this, but...
01:02:08Roger, you are out.
01:02:13Laurence, that means you are in.
01:02:15Laurence, that means you are in.
01:02:18Okay.
01:02:20I'm so sorry, baby.
01:02:21I'm so sorry.
01:02:23I had an incredible time here.
01:02:27I have found myself and I love him.
01:02:29I love the look.
01:02:30I understand where it went wrong.
01:02:32And you'll see it again.
01:02:34I probably will be wearing it.
01:02:39What I've always loved about you is your very joyful disposition.
01:02:44It's really great to watch you take feedback in stride.
01:02:48And that is what is going to continue to make you successful.
01:02:51We saw incredible work from you and you are truly an all-star.
01:02:55Thank you, Prajee.
01:02:56Thank you, Prajee.
01:02:57You all can leave the runway.
01:03:00I am extremely grateful to be in the top five.
01:03:05I know I wanted to show a collection.
01:03:07I know I wanted to go for the grand prize money.
01:03:10But I feel like I've already won.
01:03:12All right, bitches.
01:03:13That's the end of the road for Babushka.
01:03:16Babushka!
01:03:17Aw.
01:03:18You are amazing.
01:03:19Oh, my God.
01:03:21Understatement of the century.
01:03:22Truly an honor to be here with you guys, creating with you guys, life with you guys.
01:03:27This was the best part of this whole thing for me.
01:03:30I will miss you all.
01:03:32My baby.
01:03:33I have absolutely no regrets at all this season.
01:03:36I am super, super proud of every single piece of clothing that I've created here.
01:03:40Prajee.
01:03:41Hi, Christian.
01:03:43Hi.
01:03:44My artist.
01:03:46So amazing.
01:03:48You drive me crazy.
01:03:49Now I'm going to hunt you in your dreams.
01:03:51You are.
01:03:52But I love what comes out of that brain and mind of yours.
01:03:57It's incredible.
01:03:58And I can't wait to see what you do next.
01:04:00Yeah.
01:04:01I have to send you the workroom.
01:04:02We'll clean up your space.
01:04:03Cheers, babe.
01:04:04We're going to miss you.
01:04:05So long.
01:04:06Farewell.
01:04:07I came here.
01:04:08I came here.
01:04:09Here's Majesty the Prince Project.
01:04:11And I'm working out the same way with my head held high, with my dignity intact, and my integrity.
01:04:17And that's the most important thing for me.
01:04:20Watch the Project Runway After Show right now and on demand wherever you stream Project Runway.
01:04:27Next on Project Runway All Stars.
01:04:29Whoa.
01:04:30This is amazing.
01:04:32Your challenge is to be inspired by the architectural masterpiece around you and create an avant-garde look worthy of the finale.
01:04:41Do you think you could push this a little bit more?
01:04:44So the skirt will have some transparency in it, and I want to have the strips going through it.
01:04:49What?
01:04:50I'm a little nervous.
01:04:52It's a mess for me.
01:04:53This isn't avant-garde at all.
