00:00Most regular season passing yards for the upcoming season.
00:03I'll give you the first three, and then I'll let you take it from there.
00:06At the top is Joe Burrow.
00:08Horrible defense.
00:09People expect him to throw for, what, 5,500 yards.
00:12He's at plus 490.
00:14Behind him is Patrick Mahomes, plus 850.
00:18Then there's Dak Prescott, who's getting a little helium lately at plus 900.
00:23The addition of George Pickens definitely helps.
00:25Joe, begin there, and then take us through.
00:27There are three more, Purdy, Goff, and Mayfield.
00:29Go.
00:30Well, I want to start with Joe Burrow here because you're still getting almost 5-1 on this.
00:34And this was the guy that led it last year.
00:36He and Jamar Chase led passing and receiving yards.
00:40And Joe Burrow, as you mentioned, just playing with, again, a terrible defense there in Cincinnati
00:45where he's going to have to throw the ball a ton.
00:47Last year, it's funny because he was QB3 overall, and he's not a rushing quarterback.
00:51He rushed for 200 yards.
00:52He's not a guy who's going to get out there in space rushing for a lot of touchdowns.
00:55That's not really his game.
00:57But he's still the fifth quarterback going off the board.
01:00And if you're looking for the sweet spot, if you want to get a lockdown top quarterback,
01:03it's not paying for the second round necessarily of Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, although those
01:08guys are great.
01:08In the 10-team league, maybe you could do that and get away with it.
01:11But in a 12-team league, you'll see Joe Burrow in terms of ADP.
01:15He's going as the 37th, 38th player off the board, somewhere in that range.
01:20He's going after Hertz, after Daniels.
01:22But you basically get a huge red flag that shoots up there into the sky, right?
01:26A big flare where it tells you, hey, quarterbacks are going to start to go now.
01:30And then you have an option to sit back and select Joe Burrow.
01:33And chances are, he will be the fourth or fifth quarterback off the board in your drafts.
01:38And for a guy that finished last year as QB3 to get him as the fifth guy, I think it's
01:42pretty tremendous.
01:43And I see the same path for him ahead in 2025.
01:46I see that same path where he is going to, once again, lead the league here.
01:50And I don't think it's going to be close.
01:52Last year, the closest guy to him, ironically, somebody we were just talking about, we were
01:56talking about Baker Mayfield was at 45, Jared Goff was at 46.
02:00Those are the closest guys.
02:01I don't know with the improved defense and the healthier defense of the Detroit Lions,
02:06if Goff has to put up those kind of numbers yet again, plus it is a new offense.
02:09So there could be a little bit of growing pains early on there.
02:12And then Baker Mayfield, again, I don't think we're going to quite get to 4,500 again with
02:17him.
02:17Probably some regression will happen.
02:18And then basically what you're trying to do is you're looking for, is Dak Prescott ready
02:22to go and take that leap again?
02:24Maybe.
02:25Brock Purdy has an easy schedule.
02:26Perhaps, but to me, it's an easy Joe Burrow.
02:30And I think this is one of the best wagers you can make.
02:32And in terms of turning into fantasy productivity, again, the fifth quarterback off the board,
02:36somewhere in the middle of the quarterback selected in your draft is a guy that finishes
02:40the third best quarterback in fantasy.
02:42And he doesn't have nearly the concerns of the guys that run around in the pocket with
02:45the higher injury risk.
02:46So I like Joe Burrow.
02:47Now the offensive line isn't great, but then again, when has it ever been good for Joe Burrow
02:51before?
