00:00Brown for Colorado. We'll get to him in a second here. Going up against Paul Skeens.
00:03901-902 on the rotation time. 12-05 start. When the Pirates are favored by over $3,
00:09you know something is up. Because understand this. Tom and I know this. We've talked a lot
00:13of Skeens and a lot of Pittsburgh. Skeens sometimes winds up a minus 130, minus 125,
00:19minus 150 number at the top end. Tom, he is a minus 320 to minus 330 favorite at some outlets
00:27right now with a total of seven and a half. This isn't because Paul Skeens is so good,
00:31which he is. Could this be because Colorado saying, we'll see how it goes today?
00:37I mean, that's really what would get you. If you told me, you know, Skeens topped out.
00:42Maybe first five would be minus 200 for Skeens that I could buy into. But the line overall
00:46for the Pirates, minus 150. You know, when we get into Skeens and this matchup,
00:51the Rockies right now as a team, what is it? A 25.8% strikeout rate versus right-handed
00:55pitching, which is the second worst in the league overall. Obviously, Skeens is fantastic.
01:0128.8% strikeout rate. But we got to talk about this game. I don't know if it's all about Skeens,
01:05but McCade Brown, as you said, pitching for the Rockies today, Donnie. We got to get into this.
01:10He has, earlier this season, he pitched at high A and double A. They called him up from double A,
01:16the Hartford Yardgoats. He did not pitch. He has never pitched at triple A,
01:20and he's being called straight up to the major leagues, Donnie.
01:22This does not spell good things for Colorado. And Skeens, I think, is in the spot to not just go
01:29over seven and a half strikeouts, but this could be a Cy Young type performance where he pushes to 10.
