00:00Previously on Project Runway, I'm back!
00:07I'm having a slight flashback because in my other season,
00:12it was also a team challenge, and I'm having a little PTSD.
00:16What's happening? I already need a martini. All right.
00:19In season 19, I left on episode one,
00:22but I'm very confident about what I made for this challenge.
00:26Literally, like, my intern could sew that in 30 minutes.
00:29I'm a Gemini. I take critiques very like,
00:31don't tell me what to do.
00:33That was the one that I'm using.
00:34Okay, well, I can use it too.
00:36BJ is in her own bubble.
00:39She's very standoffish.
00:40Which part of my start?
00:42This is my best-in-law.
00:43Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha.
00:45She's what we call in the business.
00:47A .
00:49Congratulations, Ethan.
00:51You're the winner of this challenge.
00:53Shut up!
00:54Casey, Joseph, and Antonio.
00:57You had the three bottom looks.
00:58Am I being punk?
01:00Ooh.
01:01Oh, he's spicy.
01:02I don't think there's any reason to be defensive.
01:04No, I'm not being defensive at all.
01:05Casey, it's very lackluster.
01:08And what you then wrapped around to me looks like an afterthought.
01:11Do we sit home with a bad dress or the bad attitude?
01:14Just very emotional.
01:16I can't believe this is happening again.
01:18You're so mean.
01:19I'm gonna know.
01:20Why am I here?
01:21I want to go home.
01:26A stake for the winner is $200,000, a spread in Elle magazine, and a life-changing mentorship
01:33with the CFDA.
01:34I can't believe it could happen again.
01:36It just feels like a bad joke.
01:37I can't go home.
01:38Like, I didn't get to show who I was as a designer.
01:41Let's prove to them that we'd make it to the end.
01:45My brother and I are supposed to make it to the end together.
02:11I can't believe I'm in the bottom.
02:13I might be going home.
02:15We're ready?
02:26Casey, Antonio, Joseph, we've made our decision.
02:38Joseph, you're safe.
02:42You can leave the runway.
02:45Thank you, Joseph.
02:52Casey, you had the most beautiful fabric, but it was evident you had unresolved design
02:59problems.
03:01I have a strong case.
03:02I can't believe it, and a lot of people are in the middle.
03:04delicious, but your attitude was despicable.
03:12Casey, Antonio,
03:16one of you will be in and one of you will be out.
03:22Antonio,
03:27you're in.
03:35You can leave the runway.
03:40I'll work about it.
03:46Ah, Casey.
03:48I'm so sorry, but that means you're out.
03:50Yes.
03:51Oh my God, you're so sweet.
03:54I'm so grateful to have met you.
03:56Good luck.
04:01Bye, guys.
04:02Casey.
04:03Baby.
04:04Come here.
04:05I'm so glad I got to meet you guys.
04:06I'm like beyond shocked to be eliminated for this look.
04:10Casey.
04:11Yes.
04:12I know it's rough going on the first.
04:13It's hard, but you're so talented.
04:15That's why you're here.
04:16That's why you came back, right?
04:18Think about, hold that strong.
04:19Thank you, Christian.
04:20I'm gonna send you the workroom, clean up your space,
04:21say goodbye to everybody, okay?
04:22Okay, thank you.
04:23And good luck.
04:24It feels harsh to leave this stage of the competition again.
04:28I definitely feel like I wish I could have shown more,
04:30but I still am really proud of it.
04:32Project Runway is an experience I will never forget,
04:36and I'm probably finished with as of now.
04:46All right.
04:47Come back, sit around.
04:48We're not done.
04:49Oh my God.
04:50What?
04:51Christian, I don't know how much we can take today.
04:53Competition is very real now.
04:55Mm-hmm.
04:56You just saw it.
04:57Casey walked out the door.
04:58Goes quick.
04:59Ethan, congratulations.
05:01Woo!
05:02Woo!
05:03Thank you so much.
05:04Woo!
05:05I have something extra for you.
05:08Oh.
05:09Oh, jeez.
05:10Oh.
05:11What do you got, mama?
05:12Because you guys are gonna continue to work in houses
05:16a little longer.
05:17Oh.
05:18What?
05:19As the winning designer in the next challenge,
05:21you're gonna have an opportunity to swap a designer
05:24from a house.
05:28Oh.
05:29Oh.
05:30Christian Siriano really came in and was like,
05:32let me just drop a rock into this pond.
05:35Think on it.
05:36Like Heidi said, new house, new rules.
05:39Okay.
05:40You'll decide at the next challenge.
05:43The houses aren't over yet.
05:45Get ready for it.
05:47Bring it on.
05:48I think I know what I'm gonna do.
05:50Things are about to get spicy.
05:59Ooh.
06:00Ooh.
06:01Some jump ropes.
06:02Sweet.
06:03That Pilates ringing.
06:06Hey, guys.
06:07Guys.
06:08Listen to this.
06:09Here's a gift.
06:10Put these on and meet me in the workroom.
06:13Christian.
06:14What?
06:15Let's go.
06:18That last challenge was a lot for me and Antonio.
06:22I think you are being defensive and also a little bit rude.
06:26Sorry if you hate the coat.
06:27I hate the whole look.
06:28But at the same time.
06:29Law.
06:30Don't you worry.
06:31We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:33We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:35All right, everybody.
06:36Let's go to the workroom.
06:38Yes.
06:39Woo.
06:40My strategy about this switch is I really want to make sure I'm making the best decision for me.
06:45So do I get rid of Jesus, the boisterous one.
06:49All I have to do is prove him wrong.
06:52Or Vijay that is hard to work with.
06:55How's it going, Diva?
06:56This one.
06:58So here's to the right choice.
07:03I like to shake it up and keep that body working.
07:06Yes.
07:07Ooh.
07:08And class begins.
07:09Okay.
07:10All right.
07:11Come on.
07:12Get zen.
07:13Matt.
07:15I don't know any yoga poses.
07:17Does anybody know yoga poses?
07:19Okay.
07:20Come show me.
07:21Yoga is not my thing.
07:22I'm the type of person that gets really bored in the gym.
07:26Bend this knee.
07:27Yes.
07:28My workout is walking to that coffee shop and then enjoy people watching.
07:33That's my workout.
07:35I think I pulled something.
07:38So you're going to continue to work in houses, Ethan.
07:42Remember, you have the power to swap a member of your house.
07:48I think I am going to do a swap.
07:51A swap.
07:52Uh-oh.
07:53If Ethan is smart enough, he's going to keep me because he knows what I'm capable of doing and he knows I'm a strong designer.
08:00I think he should get rid of Vijay because she has not been a team player and bring over Antonio.
08:06The pressure.
08:07The pressure is getting wussaps.
08:09Yes.
08:10So I'm going to swap.
08:17Jesus.
08:19With Madeline.
08:20Woo!
08:21Jesus and Madeline.
08:26Wow.
08:27You messed up, honey.
08:32I hope you don't regret your decision.
08:34I have full confidence that you're going to kill it.
08:36And I really want to see this dynamic happen.
08:38Because y'all have been claiming that y'all are a powerhouse together.
08:43And I want to see it.
08:44Well, get ready.
08:46They are all talk.
08:48They run a store together, but I'd love to see this store close, baby.
08:53All right.
08:54For this challenge, each house must create a cohesive activewear capsule collection where the collection goes from workout to the weekend with one of the hottest activewear companies, Kalia.
09:09So to give you guys some more insight into Kalia, we have a special guest, vice president and head designer for Kalia, Alicia Scott.
09:22Hi guys.
09:27So good to meet all of you.
09:29We created Kalia about 10 years ago and really wanted to form a brand that is the perfect juxtaposition of fashion and femininity and function.
09:38And I love how you guys have all styled all your pieces you got today.
09:41Our entire collection is rooted in performance.
09:44If you're designing a look for Pilates or run, it needs to be able to function.
09:49We believe there's beauty in the burn.
09:51How's it going to work whenever she is doing a downward dog?
09:54Make sure that when you're designing a piece, it can be used for working out, going to grab coffee, going out to grab cocktails with your friends.
10:02It needs to be versatile.
10:04So not only has Kalia provided look books, they've also provided all the fabrications for the challenge.
10:11Okay.
10:12That's not all.
10:13Kalia is going to produce and sell the winning look from the winning collection.
10:20That would be so cool to have a Joseph McCray and Kalia produce that.
10:25I feel like it would eat down.
10:26I love the idea of this like beauty in the burn.
10:30So what if we have like fire on the runway?
10:33Ooh.
10:34Like actual fire.
10:36So you'll have all of today and part of tomorrow to create your fire worthy collections.
10:43Don't you love a one day challenge?
10:45Yes.
10:46One day to do this as if there weren't enough stress already.
10:49The burn of it all.
10:59Ethan, you want to see what it's like when you put Antonio and I together?
11:02It's going to be game on and it's going to push me to even do better to beat him.
11:08And then he's going to realize that he up.
11:10Girl, whatever.
11:17What's our team?
11:20Wow.
11:21Team winner.
11:22Team winning.
11:23No, it has something to do with fire.
11:27Team burn.
11:29I guess it's final answer.
11:31I'm glad I put together a strong team.
11:33I really wanted to equalize the energy of our group by putting all of the boisterous things
11:39on one team.
11:40I want this one.
11:41I want this eight.
11:42I bet you're first.
11:44I'm actually very happy that Ethan let go Jesus because I don't want another drama.
11:52That was the one that I'm using.
11:54Like, which one?
11:55Well, I can use it too.
11:56And it could be hot to do the lines in the pop-up brand.
12:01So we'll all have the lines incorporated.
12:04Yes.
12:05Okay.
12:06Okay, guys, we need to start guiding fabrics.
12:08I just want to be cohesive.
12:10I do like this color story situation going on over here.
12:13But we got to pick a group of fabrics and all go with it, you guys.
12:17Y'all go with it.
12:18We decided to call our team the House of Lotus because we wanted to feel the zen within the
12:22berm.
12:23And so coming off the last challenge, being in the bottom, our stickler was our cohesion.
12:29So as we're going through these fabrics that Kalia provided us, we're really paying attention
12:34to what color palette we want to do so that we really nail that cohesion this time.
12:39Because if we miss it two times in a row, we're going to be done for.
12:42I love this fabric.
12:43I was trying to get the colors out of this.
12:46This has all your colors.
12:49Once again, Antonio is choosing the fabric and I'm getting a little anxious because the
12:55last time he chose fabric, we were in the bottom.
13:00Can y'all roll the tape back?
13:01The fabric that I brought from home is in pink.
13:04So let's have the inspiration of our collection be butterflies.
13:07That's the best one out of all of them.
13:09I think we should go with that.
13:10I don't like that.
13:11No?
13:12Mm-mm.
13:13You like this better?
13:14I mean, I like this.
13:15I don't like that either, but I mean...
13:17That's what I wanted to start with.
13:18Ms. Joan, I want to know...
13:19It is what it is.
13:20Oh, is the drama already beginning?
13:23You know, working with the twins, you know, they're a whole vibe, but our looks have to
13:28be cohesive.
13:29I love Ms. Joan, but she's a little, little old school and stuck in the back in the days.
13:35This fabric is so cool.
13:36It's just more young.
13:37I'll make it work.
13:43Don't use the fabric scissors, you nincompoop.
13:46I love Alex.
13:47I didn't expect this competition to become so connective so quickly.
13:52And me and Alex bonded so quickly.
13:54It's so soft.
13:55It's so cozy.
13:56Like, she's gonna be in it and be like, wow.
13:57I want it.
13:58I'm making a lounge sweatsuit with a corset bustier top.
14:04It all sprouted from trying to use the aspects of a kimono.
14:09I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, but my Nana was a tailor from Nagasaki, Japan.
14:17So I find a lot of inspiration in what the Japanese call intangible cultural treasures.
14:24But my mama would say that I don't bring enough of the South with me.
14:30I don't know.
14:31How are you feeling this week?
14:32Feeling great.
14:33It looks really cool.
14:35Thank you so much.
14:36I appreciate that.
14:37You are absolutely looking at the next winner of Project Runway.
14:41My design aesthetic is a combination of street wear and elegance.
14:46I want to win Project Runway for my daughter, Ava.
14:49She's right here.
14:50Having her change me as a person, it gave me so much more drive.
14:54And I do this all for her.
14:56So I have to make this stand out and hopefully wow the judges.
15:01Madeline, what informs your work?
15:06I'm trying to always like see things that I like about vintage fashion, but then giving
15:13it like my own little twist.
15:15What about yourself?
15:17I grew up in like a hoedunk farm town.
15:19I just felt inherently so different from the rest of my family.
15:23The only thing I could really do was, you know, rely on my own creativity and imagination
15:28to kind of distract me from, you know, feeling like I belong there.
15:33Did they accept you as you are?
15:35Like, you know, when I finally did come out, they were like, we don't get it yet, but we
15:42just don't want to lose you.
15:43So we're going to try to figure this out.
15:45I feel really blessed to be able to have my family in my life.
15:50So it makes me want to really push myself to win this for them.
15:59Hello.
16:00Hey, Chris J.
16:01How's the team going?
16:03Let's go.
16:05I do think the silhouette of this skirt, you still have to figure out.
16:08Oh, Lord.
16:09This might send me home.
16:10I am a technical designer and I am a serious workaholic.
16:17My family is Jamaican and I've always been raised with all the elders around me doing multiple things.
16:23Even if it's not their job, they're going to figure out how to do it that day and do it.
16:27So I have to push myself because this workout weekend challenge is taking me out of my comfort zone.
16:34I really wanted to do something that was extremely comfortable.
16:37I think it feels a little too demure.
16:40I think I made the right decision.
16:43I was the one who fought to use this print because Mrs. Joan didn't like it.
16:47She still doesn't like it.
16:48Okay.
16:49So you did it again.
16:50You wanted a print again.
16:52Everybody wants this print?
16:56Groundbreaking this circle skirt.
16:58Yeah.
16:59Mm-hmm.
17:00I can cut a circle out right now and do this in 10 minutes.
17:03Really?
17:04Yeah.
17:05We're kind of not the exact same look from the last challenge.
17:10You're making a jacket and a skirt?
17:13A jacket and a skirt.
17:15Let me tell you a little something about Christian Seriano.
17:19Christian will come in the workroom like,
17:21Mm, are you sure about that?
17:24Or he be walking around like,
17:26Mm, okay.
17:27That little face be killing me with them glasses and that hair perfectly swapped into the side.
17:32The top being fabulous is very important here.
17:35You should develop this more because you already know you can make a cool jacket.
17:39I'm going to listen to Christian because I know I'm taking a risk,
17:42but I do not want to be in the bottom again.
17:44You got a lot to do.
17:45I got you.
17:46Okay.
17:47Let's get it.
17:48I'm kind of going for like that modern with a little bit of Tron.
17:53This sash doesn't do anything.
17:55She couldn't do any athletic things with this hanging.
17:59Mm.
18:02What are all these lines on this?
18:04So I kind of want to achieve this kind of like texture.
18:08All of these lines you're going to weave.
18:10The inspirations for this design is the Kalia logo.
18:14It's like a twisted string.
18:16It's like very dynamic.
18:19What are you doing?
18:20It's going to be like a more like athletic, fancy corset, bustier kind of thing.
18:28This makes no sense for an athletic look.
18:32That scares me.
18:33Athleisure specifically is not something that I normally do.
18:37Unfortunately, time is not on our side in this competition.
18:42Christian has his doubts about this corset, but we're sticking to our guns.
18:47Hmm.
18:48What are you doing?
18:49I am doing an oversized hoodie, which I'm thinking about cropping.
18:54I did the pin tuck in my hand.
18:56Mm-hmm.
18:57It's going to have the same pin tuck in all over the pants as well.
19:00Oh.
19:01So you're also doing a sweat.
19:03Oversized sweatpants.
19:04Oversized sweatpants.
19:05Oversized sweatpants in the same fabric.
19:08Is the pant wide like that wide?
19:10It's a wide.
19:11You haven't even looked at each other's stuff and she's right in front of you.
19:15Honestly, I really don't know much about what my team is doing.
19:19This is it.
19:20Yes.
19:21Looks very similar.
19:22Having looked at the other designers on my team, I've just been too focused.
19:26So we just have a wide pant off on the runway in the same fabric.
19:32What the ?
19:33Like, what am I going to do next?
19:34I need to think fast and pivot into some other different silhouette.
19:38If I don't succeed, I'm worried it might put me on the bottom.
19:45So I'm looking at Team Lotus and it does not fit the brief that we got.
19:52What's going on?
19:53It's going to be the pop out.
19:54So we both have mesh.
19:55Their looks are looking a little all over the place.
19:58I think that we're going to take this one home.
20:00I look at the other team.
20:02It's like crickets in that side of the room.
20:04No one's really talking to each other.
20:06And here we are like, you know, blah, blah, blah.
20:09And then at night, she just puts a glove on honey.
20:12Okay, this, do this.
20:13Like, we're helping each other.
20:14Yes.
20:15Yes.
20:16Ethan, I hate to tell you, but you will be the losing team.
20:21Are you ready?
20:22Let's go.
20:23Models, let's go.
20:24Woo!
20:25Are you ready?
20:30This very cool jacket with a pleated skirt.
20:34That's the top?
20:35I think so.
20:36So how does one do anything athletic in that top?
20:41I think I'm over here eating it up and it's just like, yeah, no.
20:48Are we playing tennis where you tie your arms up?
20:52If I don't come through with this bra, like, I feel like the whole look is going to go kaput.
20:56It's so different when I design on paper and design on you.
21:01You trend's pleated skirt.
21:03It's really short.
21:04I thought it was a mistake, but it's not a mistake.
21:09Because mama, I'm a slut.
21:12You decided?
21:13Yeah, yeah, I'm going to do some nice shorts and then the cargo pockets.
21:19That shoe?
21:20Are you nuts?
21:21What kind of shoe?
21:22Blah.
21:23Whoa, what?
21:24Nothing bites out here.
21:25That tic-tac shoe.
21:29You have no side seam.
21:31Mm-mm.
21:32There's no side seam.
21:33Interesting.
21:34You can do that.
21:36Look at her butt.
21:37That's crazy.
21:39These pants are styled after a Japanese hakama pant where there aren't really side seams and all of the volume is put into pleats across the back.
21:49Since we're paying homage to my Japanese ancestress, it's really important for me to nail this look that I make.
21:58And I am feeling the pressure.
22:03Bye, models.
22:05Thank you so much.
22:06Hello?
22:07Oh, I have to take this.
22:08Sorry.
22:09You're going to be laughing when that little hem falls out.
22:11I'm going to tear it up.
22:13I'm feeling really good about my look.
22:15But what if your team doesn't?
22:17But after the model fitting, I'm feeling a little worried about my team.
22:21Alex has these grand ideas, but she is running out of time.
22:25And Angelo's work is looking a little simple.
22:27If Jesus kills it, then I lost a valuable player.
22:31I hope that I made the right decision.
22:37Guys, our muses are here.
22:38Look at this.
22:40All right, designers, send your models to the Ulta beauty salon.
22:43We got three hours to finish up these looks and send these girls down the runway.
22:49It's crunch time.
22:50Glowy, dewy kind of thing.
22:52I love it.
22:53Maybe something that's been like smudged a little bit.
22:56That's it right there.
22:57Bye.
22:58Bye, everybody.
22:59Have fun.
23:00Until next time.
23:01Is there a leader this time?
23:04No, because I think we don't want to have a leader technically because we don't want to blame someone.
23:10The last team challenge, I think Jesus was acting as the leader because he talked a lot.
23:18But this time, we don't have a leader, so it's a mess.
23:21All right, five minutes, you guys.
23:23Five minutes.
23:24We're leaving this room.
23:25That's the back of the pants?
23:27Mm-hmm.
23:28Okay.
23:29Well, I know I ain't in the pants.
23:32I'm worried about Alex.
23:34She's looking not finished.
23:36Mm-mm-mm.
23:37Child.
23:38I mean, I got what?
23:40How many minutes?
23:41I am really concerned with how the top is turning out and the cut of the pant.
23:45Are there pockets?
23:46No.
23:47No.
23:48All right.
23:49But there's no more time and nothing else to do about it.
23:52All right, designers.
23:53That's it.
23:54That's time.
24:04Hello, designers.
24:05Welcome to The Runway.
24:06As you know, in fashion, one day you're in and the next day, you're out.
24:10For this challenge, we asked you to create a cohesive, active wear collection for Kalia
24:16that goes from workout to weekend.
24:18You worked in teams and you had only one day to create your collection.
24:21All right, let's meet our judges.
24:23CFDA award-winning stylist and image architect, La Roche.
24:28Hey!
24:29Editor-in-Chief of Elle magazine, Nina Garcia.
24:33Woo!
24:34And our guest judge and co-owner of the fashion line favorite daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:40Woo!
24:41I'm so excited to see Miss Sarah Foster.
24:44She has a really good head on her shoulders around how to make a woman feel beautiful and
24:48comfortable in the clothes.
24:49She's gorgeous.
24:50Yes.
24:51Okay, we're ready.
24:52Let's start the show.
24:53It's going to be flaming hot.
24:56I wish I had a marshmallow.
24:57This got flammable hair now.
24:59Wait a minute.
25:00I told you it was going to be hot and I was not talking about Hans and Franz.
25:02I do feel like I have successfully captured the essence of this challenge with creating something that goes from workout to weekend.
25:09With the pin tucking, the silhouette, the pin tucking, the silhouette, the styling is really good. I'm feeling really confident.
25:24She's a professional.
25:25You know, you know.
25:26Look at us now.
25:27Look at us now.
25:28Look at us now.
25:30I'm very proud of this look.
25:31I'm very proud of this look.
25:36My look looks very modern, sexy, and fun.
25:39And the red line on the jacket is everything.
25:42That is a short skirt, but she's got some good legs.
25:51I'm just looking at the outfit.
25:53It's not as bad as I expected it to be,
25:56but I know what's going on on the inside.
26:01This Bessie, Bessie, I'm not happy about it.
26:06It could have been worse.
26:07It could have also been better.
26:09I like that. I would wear that.
26:11You're very generous.
26:12Oh, no.
26:17With my athleisure look, I'm feeling pretty satisfied.
26:20I like it. I think it's cute.
26:22It's nothing, like, really shocking.
26:24But I am just elated that the athleisure challenge is in the past.
26:29She's got it.
26:31She looks amazing.
26:36I've worked hard to achieve that details,
26:39that those string woven by hand,
26:42I cut all those holes individually.
26:44It takes a lot of work to create that textile.
26:46I want to make sure that every piece that I make
26:49is a labor of love.
26:51I don't get that curly hair with that.
26:56With that side fin, it's flowing down the runway.
26:59It's got movement.
27:01Oh, it looks so good.
27:04I would wear that now.
27:05I may have slayed a little bit too hard this week,
27:07so I'm hoping that it can pull this team through to the win.
27:15This look, it's very universal.
27:19This girl can do Pilates and then put some heels on,
27:23put a jacket on,
27:23and go have a cocktail with the girl just at night.
27:25I'm proud of myself.
27:27It would mean a lot to win this challenge
27:29and have that collab with Kalia.
27:32I'm happy with how this look turned out.
27:39I feel like it's me.
27:40And I'm starting to be more confident
27:42in what I'm designing and believe
27:44whatever I'm creating is good.
27:50I see my look coming down the runway
27:53and I'm thinking, okay, yes.
27:55Even though I didn't choose this fabric,
27:57I was able to be a team player.
27:59And I think that she looks fabulous.
28:01I love the drama.
28:05I nailed it.
28:07Oh, my God.
28:10Well, we know who that is.
28:18My model is looking so everything.
28:22And then she unzips this jacket
28:23and it's just like,
28:25oh, welcome to the party.
28:27Bring out the ta-ta.
28:28I took a risk with almost recreating my previous look
28:32and I hope this paid off.
28:40That's my girl.
28:41Wow.
28:42Like, I'm just literally getting chills.
28:44The way she's walking,
28:45the way that the pants are moving,
28:46how powerful she looks.
28:48I'm feeling great.
28:49I could definitely see this in stores
28:52and see a lot of people wanting these pants,
28:54wanting this bomber,
28:55even the bag.
28:56I love this.
28:58Our team,
28:59everything was executed beautifully
29:01and I think that that showed on the runway.
29:02We did go good.
29:04We did it.
29:05I am not worried about myself,
29:07but it's hard to tell,
29:08you know,
29:09it's two different vibes.
29:10So I hope that the switch doesn't come back
29:13to bite me in the butt.
29:18Hello, hello, hello.
29:20Bravo.
29:21Oh, that was a show worthy of fire.
29:23Congrats to all of you.
29:24We have scored your designs
29:26in one house,
29:28ran circles around the other.
29:32Antonio,
29:34Joan,
29:35Joseph,
29:37Jesus,
29:39and Polania.
29:41You are the winning house.
29:43What?
29:45Wait, what?
29:46Wait, wait, wait.
29:47I don't think that's it.
29:48I don't think that's it.
29:51Alex,
29:52Angelo,
29:53Madeline,
29:54Eugene,
29:55BJ,
29:56and Ethan.
29:57You are our least favorite collection.
30:00Damn.
30:01We're going to talk to you later
30:03and you can leave the runway.
30:05Damn it.
30:07My squad being in the bottom,
30:09that's unfortunate.
30:10I don't know what happened.
30:14I don't get it.
30:15We just clearly took
30:16two different directions,
30:18team-wise.
30:20Chips fall where they may, right?
30:22This challenge
30:23meant a lot to me.
30:24I just got in my head.
30:27I just hope that
30:28I get to stay.
30:32Congratulations.
30:33What we really liked about your collection
30:35is that there was a cohesion.
30:36Thank you so much.
30:38All right,
30:38we would like to talk to the designers
30:40that were our three favorite looks.
30:42And that is you,
30:43Joseph,
30:44Bolania,
30:45and you,
30:47Jesus.
30:49So that means Joan.
30:50Yes.
30:51And Antonio.
30:52You're safe.
30:53But I do have to tell you,
30:54Antonio,
30:55we all thought that yours
30:57was our least favorite
30:59in the winning team.
31:00Thank you so much.
31:04You can leave the runway.
31:05Nice meeting you guys.
31:06Bye.
31:06My brother's in the top again
31:08for the second week.
31:09I thought my look was really good.
31:10I want to be on top.
31:11It sucks.
31:13So I am just ready
31:14to prove these judges wrong.
31:16All right,
31:16let's bring out your models.
31:19Come on, girls.
31:22Yes.
31:22What's up, Oscar?
31:23Oh, we did it.
31:24We're going to start with the designer
31:25where we didn't have to guess
31:27a whole lot who made it,
31:29and that is Joseph.
31:30Without a doubt,
31:31when we saw her walk down the runway,
31:33we knew it was you.
31:34And I think she could actually
31:35work out in this
31:36because of her little shorts under.
31:37Oh, surprise, surprise.
31:40Yay.
31:41And she could throw on a pump
31:42or a heel
31:42and go straight to the weekend,
31:44which that was the challenge.
31:46Thank you so much.
31:47I would wear that jacket to the gym,
31:49but then I'd also wear it
31:50to dinner that night
31:51with a pair of jeans.
31:52I don't, I'm into you.
31:53I don't know how else I can say it.
31:55I mean, I was into all of it.
31:56I like your look, too.
31:57I like her vibe.
31:58It stands out.
31:59It's memorable.
32:00To me, she's badass
32:01and flirty at the same time.
32:04Thank you, Joseph.
32:05Thank you so much, everyone.
32:07All right, Belania, you're next.
32:08Oh, Lauren.
32:09I really love the work
32:11that you did on this top.
32:13I think it's really beautiful.
32:15I love all the details
32:17that you made
32:19with the pockets, correct?
32:21And I love the fact
32:22that you considered an option.
32:24She can be resurred
32:26with the turtleneck
32:27and she can be super sexy
32:28without it.
32:29Without, yep.
32:30I mean, I like that fabric,
32:31as you can see.
32:32I have to think.
32:33The detail of the skirt
32:35is really cool
32:36and it's a flattering waistband.
32:38Waistbands can go
32:39very unflattering
32:40very easily.
32:43Whatever it is,
32:43I like it.
32:45All right,
32:46that leaves us with Jesus.
32:47Jesus,
32:48I have to say this.
32:49You have done something
32:51that a lot of people
32:52cannot do
32:53and that is
32:55to shut me up.
32:56Wow.
32:57I was so tough
32:58on you on the runway
32:59and you were in
33:00the winning group
33:01and I was still tough
33:02on you on the runway.
33:03I actually hated
33:04your look.
33:05She doesn't look cool.
33:06She doesn't look young.
33:07I think this is so versatile.
33:09I think that a girl
33:10could really work out
33:11with this.
33:11And sellable, too.
33:12Yeah.
33:12Really sellable.
33:13Work out with it
33:14and then wear it
33:15out on the weekend.
33:16I would wear those pants
33:17in a heartbeat.
33:18The pant
33:19turns into a straight leg pant.
33:21She could wear it like this.
33:22Great.
33:22I mean,
33:23she could open up a little.
33:24Well done on that.
33:25It's great.
33:26Fabulous.
33:27Chic and effortless.
33:29What I also love
33:31is the detail,
33:32the fact that you thought
33:33about the zipper on the side.
33:35Can you turn around?
33:36And that...
33:37The little pocket.
33:38The little pocket.
33:38The little pocket.
33:39With that little black detail,
33:42those details all matter.
33:43Yeah.
33:44Right?
33:44Yeah.
33:44Thank you, Nina.
33:45I want to be this girl
33:46that would wear this.
33:47Thank you so much.
33:49But now is the moment of truth.
33:53They can only be one winner.
33:57And Jesus,
33:58it's you.
33:59You were our favorite look.
34:00Congratulations.
34:01Oh, he's crying.
34:03Don't be hiding those tears.
34:04I want to see them.
34:07Those are tears of joy.
34:09Yeah.
34:10Not only are you the winner.
34:12It's crazy.
34:13But that also means
34:14that Kalia will also produce
34:16and sell your look.
34:17And I'm going to buy it.
34:18Wow.
34:18Me too.
34:19I love it.
34:20Congratulations.
34:21We're all going to wear it.
34:22Wow.
34:23Thank you guys so much.
34:24All right.
34:25You can leave the runway.
34:27Oh, my gosh.
34:27We did it.
34:28Ethan, you got rid of me
34:29and I prove you wrong.
34:32I truly believe that
34:33if I would have stayed in his team,
34:35we would have won again.
34:37I won.
34:38When I came on Project Runway 15 years ago,
34:44I was so young.
34:46I wasn't really out of the closet at that time.
34:49And I didn't know who I was as a designer.
34:51And now coming back,
34:52I am a loud, gay, queer boy.
34:55So to win the challenge
34:56and do this collab with Kalia,
34:58it just reassured my purpose of why I'm here,
35:01to create really amazing stuff
35:02and to be on that.
35:09Unfortunately,
35:10you were our least favorite collection.
35:13Ethan, your team...
35:16you.
35:21Unfortunately,
35:22you were our least favorite collection.
35:24Ethan, your team...
35:26you.
35:30Ethan, tell us,
35:31why do you think you guys
35:32are up here?
35:33Yeah, I think it's...
35:35I think we did a great job.
35:38I think you did a great job.
35:41You had my favorite piece.
35:43I agree.
35:43So modern.
35:45Do you regret switching one person out?
35:49I don't want to say
35:50I shot myself in the foot
35:51because I love our team.
35:53I don't believe you.
35:55I think you knew
35:56that you had a great look
35:57and you didn't give a about
35:59the other people on the team.
36:00I don't want to say
36:00you were the one
36:01and I was just going to be
36:02Damn.
36:03All right, Alex,
36:04Angelo,
36:05and BJ,
36:06you are our least favorite looks.
36:08That means Eugene,
36:10Ethan,
36:10and Madeline.
36:12You're safe.
36:12You can leave the runway.
36:19All right, BJ,
36:20let's start with you.
36:21Let's start with the positives
36:22because there is a positive here.
36:24The silhouette, I think, is nice.
36:25I like the length.
36:26I like that it's not a midi and it's not a mini.
36:28I think that's versatile.
36:30A lot of people can wear that.
36:31It's just really, that's all I liked about it.
36:33You guys like the ties?
36:35I love the ties.
36:36Dangling?
36:36I think it kind of looks like a tampon.
36:38I think, oh!
36:40I mean, this is, this is unwearable.
36:42I also don't understand this girl.
36:44I think the work that you've done,
36:46I think it's quite beautiful,
36:47but it doesn't scream active wear to me at all.
36:50Like, I don't get it.
36:51That's the problem.
36:52That's the problem, yeah.
36:52You needed to make this a top,
36:56a pair of black leggings,
36:58and call it a day,
37:00and you would have had a hit.
37:02This didn't need to be a cocktail dress.
37:04Out of context.
37:06All right, Angelo, let's hear about your look.
37:09Um, I designed men's street wear,
37:10so I just wanted to stay true to myself.
37:13I think where you have to be careful, Angelo,
37:16is that it felt to me a little safe and boring.
37:22You really need to bring in a sense of drama.
37:25Step it up.
37:26Listen, I'm a basic bitch, so I love sweats.
37:29I think this is cool.
37:30I like this.
37:31It's different.
37:31You know what I mean?
37:32It's not for me,
37:33but I appreciate that you added that detail on sweats.
37:36I think it's really well made.
37:39It's just there was no showmanship to it.
37:41Yeah.
37:41You know, I think that's where you fell flat.
37:43Okay, thank you.
37:45All right, Alex, tell us about your look.
37:47So quite a few of my pieces are also inspired by kimonos.
37:50I incorporate into the way that I create different pieces.
37:54Is that part of your heritage, the kimono?
37:56Yes, my grandmother was Japanese.
37:58Okay.
37:59So I go to the sauna a lot, and I love a corset.
38:03I don't care what the situation is.
38:05At the sauna.
38:06Well, obviously, you're not going to wear a corset in the sauna,
38:09but post-sauna, you can...
38:10But you gave her a corset.
38:12She doesn't look comfortable at all.
38:14She can't work out in this.
38:16Guys, the story has to match.
38:18You cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining.
38:21I'm sorry.
38:21Okay, well, the corset, you're right.
38:23But the pant and the sweater top, I did like.
38:26I liked the movement coming down the runway.
38:28I don't know when it was coming down.
38:29I was like, oh, it looks kind of like Laura Piana vibes.
38:31Laura Piana vibes.
38:33Come on, guys.
38:34Turn around, please.
38:36No.
38:37Do you see the seam of the pant when she turns around?
38:40There's the puckering.
38:41Yeah, it is a struggle in the back.
38:43There's a little bit of a problem with this bib that falls from the corset.
38:48I think there's too many ideas put in.
38:50The flap in the front, the flaps down the arms.
38:52The flap on the sleeve.
38:52She's playing Amish to her heritage.
38:54Yes, I love that.
38:56But I don't see that in the look at all.
38:58No.
38:59All right, there's a lot for us to talk about.
39:01You can leave the runway.
39:08Let's talk about Angelo.
39:09It is a tough competition to be in
39:11if you're that much of a minimalist
39:13because this is a show
39:15and you're competing with people
39:17that are going to razzle-dazzle.
39:19You have to remember you are in a competition.
39:21You have to remember that.
39:22Give us a show.
39:26Vijay's look was actually really good.
39:28I hated it.
39:29The ties were insane.
39:31I thought the dress was really well made.
39:34It was just out of context.
39:35Yes, I would buy that.
39:36It was the wrong story.
39:38The sneakers with it is for me the worst.
39:40Yeah.
39:40She has to really watch out for her styling
39:43because I don't think she's got it together.
39:46And it's, as we all know,
39:48a full polish look that has to come down.
39:50Yeah.
39:50It may not be at leisure wear,
39:53but I hope that the judges will appreciate
39:55the hard work that I put in that dress.
39:59Alex's was an eyesore.
40:00The execution was really poor.
40:02And frankly, I also thought her styling was bad.
40:05Yeah.
40:06That as a top, I could work with that,
40:08like with jeans and...
40:09I literally can't work with any of it.
40:12I do not want to be part of a judging panel
40:14where everybody gets a trophy.
40:16It was really bad.
40:18It was bad.
40:18I agree.
40:20I'm not ready to go home this early in the game.
40:23I want my daughter to see her dad give it his all
40:26to achieve the dream of becoming
40:28the next big thing in fashion.
40:30It has been so much fun.
40:32I'm so pissed, though.
40:35It's disappointing knowing what you have to offer
40:39and not doing that.
40:41I just hope that I have the chance to show people
40:44what I bring to the table as a creative.
40:48Oh, God.
40:49My girl, Alex, she's in the bottom.
40:53I wonder if things would have been different
40:55if I kept Jesus and next Vijay.
40:58Maybe I should have been more of a leader.
41:01There's a part of me that's thinking,
41:02this is because of me.
41:04One mistake can send you home.
41:08It's probably sad.
41:11Project Runway is, I know it's going to change my life
41:15for the better.
41:16I just hope that the judges will give me another chance.
41:19Next time on Project Runway...
41:24I think we're going to blow it up.
41:25Ethan and Jesus, you'll be picking your houses.
41:29I always wanted to start my own house.
41:31Each house must show that boring can be brilliant.
41:35Sofia Vergara will wear the winning look.
41:37Woo!
41:39What is all that?
41:41Fringe?
41:42Oh, Lord.
41:44Wait, you have nothing to try on.
41:45Oh, no.
41:46Ethan, your team has no clothes.
41:49It's super sexy.
41:51It was perfect for me.
41:53I'm in shock, actually.
41:55I did not come to work to look at a bunch of ugly clothes.
41:58I am pissed off.
