00:07The Everyday Miracle

00:09In these times where news reaches us from all sides through a screen,

00:14the paper newspaper has become the last tangible product you can hold in your hands and carry with you.

00:19It's something unique, and it's unique because of everything it entails.

00:24While a tweet is published in a second,

00:26our newspaper is the result of a marathon of work hours,

00:29of a team of people working hard to complete an edition,

00:33print it, and have it delivered to your doorstep by a delivery person.

00:37It used to be easier to see us, newsstands on every corner, vendors shouting out headlines.

00:43Today, however, we have to make our way in a world dominated by digital technology.

00:48Television, radio, and social media travel on the cell phone in your pocket.

00:53They are everywhere instantly.

00:55We don't have that advantage.

00:57We can't be invisible or instantaneous.

01:00Although there is a digital version, the printed version is something else.

01:04It's physical, still, and permanent.

01:07This product that reaches your hands every morning is the end of an enormous chain.

01:11Journalists moving around, machines printing non-stop,

01:15trucks and motorcycles crisscrossing the city in the early hours.

01:18All of this so that it can dawn with you.

01:21Now that everyone knows the news instantly and at all hours,

01:24our challenge is no longer to be the first, but to be the ones who explain it best.

01:29We have no choice but to work harder with greater quality and greater depth.

01:34Our mission is no longer to announce what happened, but to dig deeper,

01:38to seek the why, the causes, the consequences.

01:41We don't dedicate ourselves to repeating what's already circulating on social media,

01:46but to creating content with added value, analysis, chronicles, reports, and interviews

01:52that give meaning to current events.

01:54That's our strength, as long as we do it intelligently and calmly.

01:58We don't have the luxury of making mistakes and correcting them on the fly.

02:02Our product is the end result of a slow and careful process of verification,

02:06assembly, and distribution.

02:08There's no control plus Z.

02:11It's like cooking a special dish.

02:13The ingredients must be the best, the cooking has to be perfect,

02:16and the packaging, the design, the paper must be impeccable.

02:21Then we wrap it so it doesn't wrinkle, doesn't get wet,

02:24and arrives intact at its destination.

02:26It's a titanic struggle behind the scenes that very few people know in detail.

02:31When the newspaper arrives at homes, it's like the baby delivered by the stork.

02:35But who really knows the journey of that stork?

02:37It's a daily miracle what we manage to do to ensure it completes its task punctually every day,

02:43come rain, shine, or wind.
