00:13Stadium, it's finished Bournemouth 1, Wolves 0. It's not looking good, Brev, as the cool

00:20kids say at this moment in time. Disappointing result and it wasn't just Wolves going down

00:24to 10 men and the game passing them by. I think 11 versus 11, it was actually men against

00:28boys. Difficult afternoon with Vito Pereira, and again, more questions than answers.

00:34Yeah, I think so. Look, he's made a huge call, hasn't he, by starting Andre.

00:39Massive call. Sorry, Belagav, sorry, ahead of Andre, which we'll come back onto. And you

00:44make that big decision and you need a fast start from your team. And Wolves definitely

00:49didn't have that. I mean, the Manezzi chance, yes, he should do a half a lot better. Does

00:52really well to muscle, out-wustle the defender, control the ball. Get himself in the position

00:55too. Exactly, and he's got to hit the target bare minimum. And then it's Belagav, the man

00:59that kept his place when moved into midfield, that just gets pressed. I think it was Tyler

01:03Adams who pressed Wolves into oblivion in that first half. Wolves could not handle him. Wolves

01:08was so sloppy and so slow. He got pressed very quickly, edge of the box, loses the ball.

01:12Semenya finds Tavernier, and yes, slightly fortunate with the deflection of Agpadu, but it was a deserved

01:19goal based on the whole first half, really. Bournemouth were by far the better team. Semenya misses from

01:23a few yards out shortly after. God knows how. He's genuinely harder to miss that than scorer.

01:28He's a fantastic player, but has to score that. Wolves get away with one. And they get through

01:33the first half fortunate, really, just to be all nil down. And they create a good chance

01:38at the very beginning of the second half. Hugo Bueno back to Arias, puts it wide from 10 yards

01:44or so. And then the big thing that changes the game is Totty Gomez getting sent off. I think

01:48I deserved sending off. I think he's just been clumsy and made an error. And Wolves never

01:53really got back from that defensively better and overall better in the second half. But

01:57going forward, offered very, very little. And it's funny, isn't it? You go back to that

02:01fourth minute and the goal and the early strike, and it wasn't the first attack of the game from

02:03Bournemouth. There was waves and waves and waves of attacks. And it was like a knife through butter

02:08through the midfield. And it was Jean-Marie Bellegarde who was kind of turned into danger,

02:11got muscled off the ball and led to that opening goal. And it was pretty frustrating. And if you're

02:18Andre on the bench, and I know he came on at half-time and I thought he did pretty well.

02:22Look, this was a tactical decision by Vito Pereira. And you've got to think that,

02:25looking at this game today, that he's probably got it wrong.

02:28Yeah, I completely agree. I mean, he said to us in there, you've tweeted it since. We're

02:31going to have the story up as well once we've done this video. He's basically said, to paraphrase,

02:36that Andre hasn't been good enough in games and in training the last couple of weeks,

02:42and everyone has to win their place. And it was a message, essentially, to the player to say,

02:46you've got to do a hell of a lot better and better got to start ahead of him.

02:48And a lot of that's on the training ground. We don't get to see the training ground.

02:50I think the optics in terms of the games. I thought Andre did okay last week. I didn't

02:54think he was great. I didn't think he had his best game, but I thought he was one of the better

02:57performers. So in terms of what we've seen from a game day point of view, I still thought it was an

03:02interesting decision, especially when you're looking for your first points of the season, when you've just

03:05got to beat 4-0 at home, when you know the batter's going to be in midfield. It was a big show of

03:09faith in Bellegarde. Yeah, and a major decision. We've both got a lot of respect for Beatle Pereira,

03:15but I have to agree with you. I think he's got it wrong on this occasion. I also think, I understand

03:20you've got to try and pick the team that you think is right to win the game, but with two games into a

03:24season and you're creating problems and headlines for yourself early on, I think it was something that

03:30was avoidable really from a Wolves perspective. And it also doesn't help that it's then Bellegarde that

03:34gives the ball away from the goal. And it makes it look, in hindsight, an even worse decision than

03:39I thought it was at the time. So yeah, for me, Andre has to play. Bellegarde had a really poor first

03:44time. He wasn't the only one, of course. And as I said earlier in my first answer going forward,

03:49Wolves had next to nothing in attack. Larsson has a header from a decent Hoover cross in that first

03:55half. Maybe he could have done slightly better with it. Maybe he just needs to generate a little bit more

04:00power. I do think, you know, he does okay, but I can understand both sides of it really. But that's

04:04neither here nor there really, because Wolves created almost nothing around these sort of half

04:09chances we're talking around. Keanu Hoover picked up a knock after 35 minutes. He's actually putting

04:12a good cross for Jürgen Stran Larsson. Jackson Tatua came on for his Premier League debut, and

04:18Hugo Buenekreman at half-time, replacing the disappointing David Muller-Wolf. It's interesting to see

04:23whether we see him in a Premier League game anytime soon. I think, from what I've seen,

04:29from what you've seen, that Hugo Buenekreman has probably got his shirt to lose now. I thought

04:33both wing-backs who came on were positive. Yeah, in my opinion, it's Hugo Buenekreman's shirt.

04:39I'm not sure that opinion will necessarily be shared. I think it's a really close call,

04:44actually. They both played 45 minutes today, so whoever starts on Tuesday, it's probably the other

04:49way round for Everton at the weekend, isn't it? So it's going to be a fascinating

04:53team selection on Tuesday. Vital has said he will make changes as well, which is expected,

04:57with one eye to Everton, of course. So, yeah, I think both wing-backs did well.

05:03Tatua definitely better going forward, got into some decent areas, didn't do anything particularly

05:06wrong defensively. And Hugo Buenekreman made a very instant impact. Look, we know he's got a

05:12rick in him defensively. We didn't really see that today, which is a great sign, obviously. But,

05:17you know, they made those two changes at half-time, and instantly he's making overlapping runs.

05:21Instantly he's finding the space. There's cross-field passes, and instantly he created

05:25the Arias chance that he put wide from 10 yards. He's giving options. He's giving options.

05:29For me, Wolfe is, you know, I think defensively is clearly going to be a bit more solid,

05:34but isn't dynamic, isn't quick going forward. He did have that chance that first half where he was

05:38one, one and a half yards ahead of his defender, and he's alone heading towards goal, and he just gets

05:42caught up. He's just not quick enough. So, you know, I've asked Vito about it. He said they're very

05:47different. They're going to be different options, and for that reason, and I hope this is the case,

05:51perhaps both will stay the season. Well, I mean, I know Wolfe's just signed, but I mean,

05:54with Hugo sticking around, and both will be options. They're very, very different,

05:58and in my opinion, Hugo Buenekreman should be starting.

05:59I like Tatua. We've talked about Wolfe's and lacking pace. He's got abundance of it down

06:04that right-hand side. It'd be interesting how he adapts, but I think from what I saw today,

06:08there's a player who gets the byline, who will put crosses in. I thought he'd put a few decent balls in

06:11today. But, you know, if you've got someone who's around the six-yard box, maybe we could have

06:15been talking about a different scoreline, but the vibes are good, and you can see him coming

06:19into the starting line-up, especially what we'll find out how injured he is at this moment in time.

06:24They've got Rodrigo Gomez, who was obviously frustrated not getting on today, but in terms

06:28of the new signing, in terms of getting on, you've got to think that he's probably got a good chance

06:32going forward with the Everton game on Saturday. In terms of just the overall situation, look,

06:37Totti Gomez is going to miss one game. That'll be the Carabao Cup game. He'll be available for selection

06:41against Everton, but this team look way off it. They look quality-wise, Liam, and Vito said

06:47afterwards he needs two, if not three, and probably three players to come in. I mean, if they keep

06:53everybody, if more go, I think they need three or four starters in this side. They're low on quality

06:58this moment in time. They're low on Premier League quality, and you look at the other teams, and yes,

07:02I know it's early on in the season, but already, Sutherland have got a win. Burnley have got a win.

07:06Leeds have got a win. It's hard to win Premier League games, and we all loved that six winning

07:12Premier League games in a row last season, but it is difficult to win, and the problem for me is they

07:17look a long way off winning a Premier League game at this moment in time. There needs to be some changes,

07:22and he needs to be supported in the market. They need help. Vito needs help. The team need help.

07:27I keep coming back to it, but particularly in that forward area. Arias thought was very quiet today.

07:32Larsson was very isolated for the vast majority of the game, other than that one sort of chance

07:38he got. He did come off with a little bit of a knock as well, Achilles, but Vito says not serious.

07:42It's just something he's had a little bit of an issue with, a bit of pain. But he was feeding off

07:47scraps for the vast majority, and that forward area just needs a little bit more dynamism.

07:53He needs something. That little bit of creativity, that bit of spark.

07:58And quality. You've lost Mateus Kunia. You've lost Ryan Aitnori.

08:01That spark, that quality, that creativity isn't there at the moment.

08:04No. Not that star quality.

08:06No, I completely agree. And that for me is the biggest concern.

08:08That's the area they need help in the most. But also, I don't mind Bellegarde.

08:13I think he's got something to offer this season as a squad player.

08:17But if your next option from taking Andre out of midfield is him in midfield,

08:20you desperately need a midfielder. We know Wolves want a midfielder and they're trying to do that,

08:23but that's an area they need to bring someone in as well, and someone that's ready and available to come in

08:28when necessary.

08:29Like you say, West Ham United on Tuesday. Both teams probably need this game like a hole in the

08:33head. Whether we see, you know, he goes stronger because they need to get a win,

08:37they need to score their first goal of this season. But look, already eyes are on Everton

08:42next Saturday because that becomes a massive game. You do not want to play at home, get beat there,

08:47and all of a sudden you're staring at play 3-0 points going away to Newcastle. It is early in

08:53the season, but with September 1st coming so soon as well, it is worrying at this moment in time.

08:58Wolves, as we've said, are going to be in a relegation battle. We've all predicted that they're

09:01going to be in the bottom six and there's nothing that I've seen, unfortunately, that showed that

09:05they're going to be anything else but that.

09:07Yeah, I have to agree. Right now this team is down there and scrapping and fighting. They have got quality,

09:11they can stay up, of course they can. But it's a battle, it's a fight on their hands. And that's

09:16where you keep coming back to the window. They've got, what is it, nine days or so now. They desperately

09:22need help. Desperately need help. I mean, it's coming towards eight days now. I mean,

09:25we're late on Saturday, so this team needs additions. Bournemouth 1, Wolves 0 for the post-match
