AT 6ft 8 (and a half) inches tall, Savvy always stands out from the crowd  and that’s just fine with her. The 26-year-old used to be self-conscious about her height but has now turned it to her advantage, making around $3,000 to $4,000 a month for niche modelling jobs. The model comes from an incredibly tall family (her dad is 6ft 8", mum is 6ft 3", while her 21-year-old brother is 7ft 4" and her younger sister (24) is 6ft 6") and from a young age Savvy and her siblings were encouraged to celebrate their tall stature rather than hide from it. But as a teenager, Savvy struggled with her appearance. By sixth grade she was 6ft 2", wearing size 12 shoes and struggling to find clothes to wear like the rest of her peers. Savvy kept growing and was 6ft 7" by eight grade, reaching her final height of 6ft 8.5" by age 18. After having to medically retire from her planned basketball career, Savvy has found herself and her 52.5 inch legs embarking on a new career as a model.

00:14that fit. This might barely cover my butt, right? I got into modeling within the last year. I do

00:20have to get really creative with where I position myself. Sometimes I have to be really low down to

00:26the ground to get just the right shot. I make between $3,000 or $4,000 a month. There actually

00:34used to be a ceiling fan in this room and I broke it off the ceiling with my face. My

00:40name is Savvy and I am 6 foot 8. Well, technically 6 foot 8 and a half. I have very long legs.

00:55noticed. At the same time, I can see over crowds, no problem. I can reach everything I need

01:01to reach. I never have to ask for assistance at the supermarket. I always have to duck through

01:06doors. The standard height for a doorway in America is 6 foot 8. I'm 6 foot 8 and a half,

01:12barefoot, and often, you know, wear heels. In these boots, I'm 7 foot 8 and a half. It is

01:20extremely difficult to find clothes that fit. Before online shopping, there was not a lot

01:26of options. With dresses and skirts, everything is going to be too short, right? So if you get

01:32a short dress that's designed to be a short dress, this might barely cover my butt, right? Leggings

01:38are almost never going to fit. Look at this. Like, it doesn't even come close. Growing up,

01:46I struggled a little bit with my height. I just was kind of like, man, I'm different.

01:52When you're young, you just want to fit in with everyone. But my mother instilled in me

01:57growing up that being tall is beautiful, and I take that very seriously. Now, it's like being

02:03a tall, beautiful woman is fantastic and it's great, and I really embrace it now. I met my

02:10wife two and a half years ago. After about a week, I just knew that she was the one for

02:15me. My wife is 5 foot 7, so she's bitty. Okay, so I'm going to get down and do some photos now.

02:23It's mostly a difficulty of getting far enough away to get her whole body in. Oh, yes, yes.

02:30We started making content together about a year and a half ago. I do have to get really creative

02:34with where I position myself. Sometimes I have to be really low down to the ground and bent at

02:42awkward angles to get just the right shot. We try to have fun together when we do our photo shoots.

02:48I got into modeling only within the last year. It's been a new journey. I make three or four thousand

02:58dollars a month. Ooh. You're too tall. I am too tall. My son will be five years old next month.

03:07All right, so we're going to find out how tall mom is. I don't think you've ever seen me

03:11been measured before how tall I am. So big, yeah? I don't know how good counting.

03:26To be honest, I feel more beautiful now than I ever have before. I think it's really great that

03:32Savannah has made a career out of, you know, her height and her feet. If I had a nickel for

03:40every time somebody asked me or the kids or her how tall they were or what size shoes we wore,

03:47you know, we'd probably be pretty rich today. Everyone can be beautiful. Everyone can have

03:53a wonderful life. You just go out there and have the confidence to take it.
