00:00shiva ji thank you so much it's lovely to be here today
00:14i think i have evolved a lot because my industry may
00:19have evolved a lot since i was a teenager i was very young and had no experience
00:27so my undergrad was all in my first film
00:33dutch sahab has had a lot of training and learned a lot from that film
00:39and then i started learning as i was working
00:43i worked with very good actors
00:46but senior uh character actors bhi thay meresat
00:50jinsab kud and meri pahli film me itne senior actors thay
00:54that's up khud thay rekha ji thi kabir bedi deena paathak
00:59uh shakti kapoor it was like amazing uh ensemble of actors
01:03and uh dutch sahab was so adamant ke jis in shoot na bhi ho
01:08ake dekho seniors kaise kaam kartein kaise emote kartein
01:11that process of watching and learning was my school
01:16but now if i look at my journey back then to now
01:20yes i have evolved in terms of style in terms of
01:25uh what i give a scene in terms of experience
01:29apke experiences itne zada ho jate when you're a teenager as compared to
01:33you know when you've come three decades away from that
01:36life experiences apko all bahut kuch sikhata hai which you can
01:40translate on to the big screen
01:44actors ka naam liya but
01:51yes
01:53What is the difference between your work and your work and your work and your work and your work?
02:00This is so old. When we work, we have a lot of pranks,
02:06a lot of fun, a lot of time spent together, dinner, lunches.
02:10There are so many small things in a journey.
02:16To remember one particular incident, it's so difficult.
02:23But to be it, I think Salman Khan has a lot of food.
02:29Yes, they had a lot of food and I had a lot of food.
02:32They had a lot of food and I had a lot of food.
02:36So, we used to end up sharing our tiffins a lot.
02:40Do you have a lot of work with your two stars?
02:47Do you have a lot of work with your work?
02:51So, I had a scene in the night at the bus stop,
02:57where we were standing and walking around the night.
03:02That was a very raw.
03:04So, Akash Deep Ji, who is my husband, was directing the film.
03:09And he basically, me, Manoj, Mukesh Tiwari, we were quite a few people on that particular scene.
03:17And he just left us on our own.
03:20He said, this is a situation, emote instinctively.
03:23You do what you do.
03:25So, what you will see on that street fight that we did is so raw and so emotional.
03:32And, you know, just watching actors like Anupam Kher and Manoj and Tabu and there was Arshad and me.
03:41And Irfan Khan ki introduction thi wo film.
03:44First time villain liya tha, Akash ne.
03:47So, just watching all these great people work is again another experience altogether.
03:54So, you know, in the 90's, we have to do a lot of work.
03:58So, what do you think about the difference between the film making and how different things are now?
04:02How do you think about this industry in the industry?
04:05It's a much grander scale now. Things are so much more streamlined.
04:14When I sign a film, the release date is known as before.
04:18When I signed a film, I knew it was the 5th September release.
04:23So, what happened at that time?
04:28When we started the film, then we can see when it will be released or not.
04:32Will it be a year or two years?
04:35I think we didn't have an organized sector now.
04:41It's become very corporate.
04:51It's a very interesting part.
04:53All the time I've played in the film, the first time in my life I'm playing a Catholic character.
05:02No, no, I played a Catholic character before when I was a heroine.
05:05But this is a very interesting kind of a split character.
05:10I can't say too much because it will reveal the story.
05:15But I'm really happy to be part of this lovely ensemble cast.
05:21You can't say that there is more action.
05:26You can see people in the film and see it.
05:28It's a lot of violent scenes.
05:30I don't know.
05:31That is the flavor of the season.
05:35And there is also a lot of love.
05:38There is also a lot of intense love story.
05:41There is also a lot of love story.
05:42The difference is that action is happening,
05:46but for no relevant reason, it is not happening.
05:49There is the action is entwined with a very, very intense love story.
05:55So definitely that's different.
05:58And people like watching that.
06:01The clash of actors and violence and love and great songs.
06:07It's got all the makings of a great film.
06:10Rocky and Rani, the whole film actually is a film recent times.
06:25You can keep smiling and keep enjoying the film.
06:30You know, you'll keep enjoying Rocky's character, the way he talks.
06:34Myself, Rocky.
06:35You know, it's just.
06:36And plus, my first scene was literally in the beginning of the movie.
06:42If you see that scene, the smile will come from your face.
06:45You know, that very cute thing of Dharam Ji imagining his youth and suddenly looking at my character.
06:53And he comes towards me because he's like slightly suffering from old age and dementia probably.
07:03And it was very beautiful.
07:06The way he just comes and frecks me on the cheek thinking I'm that person.
07:10It was a very sweet scene.
07:13You've done a lot of iconic roles in your actions.
07:16So what do you think of your audience's role?
07:21So in my first film, which was a goal for the dowry death,
07:27I play the bride that is used for the dowry.
07:31That was very intense.
07:33And I felt like, to date, I feel that's one of my really good performances.
07:40I enjoyed playing the rickshaw driver in Hum Hai Kamal Ke.
07:43I played the girl's role in this film.
07:45I played a short wig in this film.
07:47I played the rickshaw in Bombay.
07:49So that was also so much fun.
07:51Then in Naachne Waale, Gaane Waale, I played a performer.
07:57So beautiful dance numbers, lovely songs.
08:01I enjoyed doing that as well.
08:04Piyar Ka Saya, which was a remake of the film Ghost.
08:08My husband died.
08:10And my whole romance goes with a ghost.
08:12That was so beautiful.
08:13Suryav Anshi, where I'm fighting with a ghost for my husband.
08:17So yeah, I've done some really good work.
08:21I guess so.
08:22At that point of time, I was trying to do different things and hero-centric things.
08:26So yeah.
08:27So yeah.
08:28So yeah.
08:29So yeah.
08:30So yeah.
08:31So yeah.
08:32So yeah.
08:33So yeah.
08:34So yeah.
08:35I guess so.
08:36At that point of time, I was trying to do different things and hero-centric things.
08:44So yeah.
08:45So yeah.
08:46So yeah.
08:47So yeah.
08:48Yeah.
08:49i was lucky i got to do a experiment with the variety of rules
09:15so i guess my journey has been very interesting
09:27that kind of rapport today is i think little missing
09:51so i wish we would get those connections again
09:57so we would get to know that today is the new actors in the industry
10:01they would get to know that social media
10:06to work on social media
10:09they would work on social media
10:14so they would work on social media
10:18is
10:28the
10:34accessibility
10:36because in the 90's we have not had social media.
10:39We had not had actors so accessible.
10:41We had no news for one minute.
10:44I guess that magic of cinema
10:58is a little dilute.
11:00You can also show the action
11:03and the action of the film
11:05is a little dilute.
11:07So, the magic of cinema
11:09is a little bit less.
11:11I have a question about
11:13your own, Aakash's vision
11:15is a very interesting story.
11:17What was the instant block?
11:20No, in fact,
11:22I have a film called Aakash's love
11:25No, no.
11:26Piyar Ka Rog.
11:28It was a very good song.
11:30It was a very interesting story.
11:32The film's story was so interesting.
11:36My single mother and hero's single father.
11:40Me and hero love each other.
11:42And we don't know that we love our mother-in-law too.
11:45So it was a very fun movie that I did.
11:48But at that point of time, Akash liked me.
11:51But we didn't fall in love.
11:53We fell in love somewhere when we started doing Miss 420.
11:57Miss 420, from the time I did my first film with him and then the second.
12:04So around that is when we kind of fell in love.
12:15I think it's got everything to make a great film.
12:19It has a great star cast.
12:20It has great action.
12:22It has amazing songs.
12:24It's a very good recall value.
12:25And the story is something very different.
12:30Very different from all the Baagis so far.
12:33So I'm hoping it works.
12:35No, because I didn't action, but I didn't do it from the action.
12:50So that was also fun.
12:53And the whole team came from South.
12:55So they're so professional.
12:57And they know exactly how to do, what to do, how to safely take the actor out of a situation.
13:04Having said that, it's all part and parcel of doing an action scene.
13:14And lastly, what advice do you want to do to young actors?
13:20Especially young actors?
13:22Physical training, mental training, because you'll have periods where you'll have no work, with films not doing well, with people trolling you.
13:42This is a new thing.
13:43In our time, it wasn't all that happened.
13:45Now, people will be able to do your body, whether it's your colour, whether it's your hair, whether it's your nose.
13:52They troll every thing.
13:54So actors, who are now, have to become very strong mentally.
13:58They have to be very hard to work and stay slightly away from social media, so that your mental equilibrium will be good.
14:07I follow it a lot.
14:14I'm very active on social media.
14:16I have a very active account.
14:18Very interesting account, in fact.
14:20In which I have fitness tips and my pets and funny memes with my husband.
14:26There's a lot of things.
14:27I enjoy social media up until I want to.
14:32But it's not my entire life.
14:33Because I'm a very avid reader.
14:35So in my hand, you won't see a phone for 24 hours, my book will see.
14:40I think that is what saves me.
14:42What if you have a chatbite?
14:46What if you have a chatbite?
14:48What if you have a chatbite?
14:51What if you have a chatbite?
14:54No, that's not.
14:56I mean, chatbites were the same time.
14:59It's not.
15:00It's not.
15:01It's a wrong situation.
15:02An insecurity and competitiveness.
15:06I think
15:07I'm looking forward to doing some great work on the web
15:24and a couple good films
15:26so fingers crossed
15:27better and better work coming up
15:36Hi, I'm Sheba, wishing you all a very happy and a very blessed Ganesh Chaturthi
