00:00Over in the U.S., a federal judge has ordered the closure of President Donald Trump's migrant detention center in Florida, known as Alligator Alcatraz.
00:10The ruling also bars officials from bringing new detainees to the site or undertaking any new construction or expansion work.
00:18The 82-page decision states the facility has caused severe environmental damage to the Florida Everglades, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
00:30It gave the Trump administration 60 days to begin dismantling elements of the facility, including temporary fencing, lighting fixtures and generators.
00:40Alligator Alcatraz has been promoted as a centerpiece of the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigration.
00:46Designed to hold 3,000 detainees, the facility was built in the middle of a Miami swamp home to alligators, crocodiles and pythons, which Trump claimed would keep detainees from escaping.
00:58The state of Florida has already filed an appeal, with Governor Ron DeSantis vowing to do all he can to support the government's efforts of removing undocumented migrants.
