00:40Alligator Alcatraz has been promoted as a centerpiece of the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal immigration.
00:46Designed to hold 3,000 detainees, the facility was built in the middle of a Miami swamp home to alligators, crocodiles and pythons, which Trump claimed would keep detainees from escaping.
00:58The state of Florida has already filed an appeal, with Governor Ron DeSantis vowing to do all he can to support the government's efforts of removing undocumented migrants.
