00:10:42that stuff you're keeping buried it's gonna eat a hole in your stomach the size of the rose bowl
00:10:47chris ah we'll see take it easy chris
00:10:53welcome home cyrus congratulations on a successful mission well that depends on your definition of
00:10:58success well i know how you must feel right now it's tough losing a partner cole was more than a
00:11:02partner cyrus a whole lot more here's my report christopher i wish you'd reconsider about jumping
00:11:08into it so soon you look like you could use a rest no no no no way i haven't been sleeping too much i
00:11:13could put that in the form of an order you know cyrus i want to work very well come on there's someone i
00:11:19want you to meet name please christopher proctor cyrus hampton come in gentlemen
00:11:26lisa this is lisa hampton condor's newest member lisa christopher proctor a pleasure mr
00:11:41proctor it's not every day one gets to meet a living legend oh well you can call me chris and the
00:11:47pleasure is all mine hampton huh any relation here in a matter of speaking oh i really have to
00:11:56compliment you cyrus you always did know how to hire terrific looking assistants oh uh lisa isn't my
00:12:03assistant i'm your new partner my new partner now hold it cyrus i just lost the best partner i ever
00:12:14had i don't need another especially not a from now on i work alone you know a condor operative doesn't
00:12:21work alone well then i don't work christopher rachel hawkins is out she escaped early this morning i don't
00:12:31know what she's up to yet but i don't have to remind you how dangerous she is not only to society but
00:12:38especially to you that's why i want you and lisa to handle this assignment how can she help me
00:12:45what does she know about hawkins rachel hawkins was a government agent from the year 1992 to 1996
00:12:51numerous commendations rapid promotions then she became greedy began playing both sides of the fence
00:12:57that's how she earned her code name black widow her escape last night not only illustrates her
00:13:03brilliance it also proves she still has a tight-knit organization on the outside
00:13:11three years ago miss hawkins stole the u.s government's top secret vanguard code
00:13:17that code was the key to the pentagon's master computer system and to our national security
00:13:22and to our national security system and to our national security system was arrested by condor
00:13:28operative christopher m proctor before she could utilize the code
00:13:37our information indicates her younger sister monique held the organization together
00:13:41during miss hawkins imprisonment
00:13:43it was believed miss hawkins intended to use the vanguard code to somehow create an international
00:13:55incident thus in prison she underwent the prescribed memory erasure that all spies were subject to before
00:14:02it was declared unconstitutional
00:14:03however selective memory erasure was at best an imperfect technique
00:14:13so a partial or even total retention of the vanguard code by miss hawkins remains a distinct possibility
00:14:18possibility you can count on it the widow has got that code and she'll find some way to use it
00:14:24i want the assignment cyrus solo christopher i did not make this decision lightly
00:14:31lisa is an outstanding operative okay okay she did her homework i'll give her that
00:14:35but out there on the streets i need a whole lot more than a bunch of facts backing me up
00:14:38you mean all you see me for is my mind yeah you got that right very well then we'll settle this your way
00:14:44you win and i'm out i win and i'm your new partner oh come on lady i'm in no mood for jokes no joke
00:15:05and the name is lisa cyrus what have you got to lose humor her
00:15:17this is ridiculous
00:15:35this is ridiculous
00:15:42whenever
00:15:45now
00:15:49damn you're not human
00:16:05cyrus you old she isn't human is she oh in many ways she is but to give you a technically accurate
00:16:18answer no lisa's an android and i'm extremely proud of her i don't believe this you're gonna
00:16:25try to set me up with a robot least as far surpasses anything in robotics christopher
00:16:31she represents the world's first molecular computer and no one outside of this room knows
00:16:36that she exists molecular computer her thought processes are based on molecular reactions
00:16:44instead of silicone that frees lisa from the rigid binary logic of the conventional computer
00:16:49you see her brain consists of tiny biochips of genetically engineered bacteria bacteria which
00:16:56produces enzymes which are necessary for the transference of thought impulses very similar
00:17:01to the enzymes in the human brain so similar in fact that lisa possesses emotions and feelings a
00:17:07whole range of human values and we did make a deal chris like it or not yeah well i don't like
00:17:13it the name's proctor and you gave your word
00:17:16okay cyrus what's the bottom line christopher you are our best operative but you're not going
00:17:28after rachel hawkins without lisa as your partner is that clear okay
00:17:38but you've got 24 hours 24 hours you never mentioned that you never mentioned you were a computer and
00:17:47drag either proctor i'm sorry if there's nothing else cyrus i want to go home and try to get some sleep
00:17:56we start in the morning early
00:18:02well lisa do you think you can handle our mr proctor it does pose an interesting challenge sir
00:18:16well the past week has left him a little ragged around the edges but i'm sure a little sleep will
00:18:20improve his disposition if sleep was his intention pardon his voice patterns indicated that he is
00:18:26definitely not going home
00:18:28but so
00:18:36the
00:18:38good
00:18:39good

00:18:39good
00:18:40good

00:19:48I don't know.
00:19:49What's he look like?
00:19:53Like that.
00:20:23I try to be a nice guy.
00:20:46I try to be understanding, and all I get is games.
00:20:51I don't like games.
00:20:54Manny.

00:20:57Come on, lighten up, huh?

00:21:02You talk, I walk.
00:21:04How are we going to play it?
00:21:06Okay, okay.
00:21:08What do you need?
00:21:09You know a con by the name of Rachel Hawkins?
00:21:12Sometimes known as the Black Widow.
00:21:14I don't read comic books.
00:21:15Manny.
00:21:17Hey.
00:21:19You little weasel.
00:21:20Evening, officers.
00:21:30Is there some problem here?

00:21:51Right.

00:21:54Where are we going?
00:21:56We're going to visit some of your barfly buddies.
00:21:58See if they can jog your memory a little bit, especially when they see how chubby we are.
00:22:02Wait a minute.
00:22:02Wait a minute.
00:22:03Okay, look.
00:22:06Maybe I did hear some rumblings about a prison break.
00:22:09Some broad called Rachel Hawkins, supposed to be hiding out here in L.A. someplace.
00:22:13Yeah, where did you hear that?
00:22:15A wino.
00:22:16What's his name?
00:22:17You know him.
00:22:18The dwarf.
00:22:19Quaid?
00:22:22Manny.
00:22:24Get something for your cough, okay?
00:22:26Take care of yourself.
00:22:33Monique, this was supposed to be ready.
00:22:50What's the problem?
00:22:51Everything's been online since Tuesday, but this one unit went down about four hours ago.
00:22:55Four hours?
00:22:56Then they're incompetent.
00:22:57We've got a handle on it now.
00:22:58It'll be another 30 minutes.
00:22:59I don't have 30 minutes, and until this equipment is operational, I have nothing.
00:23:04Now get out.
00:23:06Out.
00:23:07And you.
00:23:09Out.

00:40:15You know who I am, Mr. Ward.
00:40:17So I shall come straight to the point.
00:40:19You have 12 hours to meet the following demands.
00:40:21First, I want $25 million
00:40:23deposited in a Swiss bank account
00:40:25that I shall specify.
00:40:27Second, a guaranteed safe passage
00:40:29out of the United States
00:40:31to a country of my choosing.
00:40:33And finally,
00:40:35deliver Condor agent Chris Proctor
00:40:37to me alive.
00:40:39Miss Hawkins, you're not only making a fool of yourself,
00:40:41you're wasting my time.
00:40:43Within the hour,
00:40:45I shall demonstrate
00:40:47that you have no choice.
00:40:49And then we shall see who the fool is.
00:40:55What's the make on that call?
00:40:57Trace to a payphone, sir.
00:40:59We have a unit on the scene now.
00:41:01They found a micro relay patched into the lines,
00:41:03but the origin of the call is unknown.
00:41:05Like I said, Commissioner,
00:41:07protect that computer.
00:41:09Trust me, Proctor, we already have it covered.
00:41:11All right, Monique, my dear.
00:41:15Initiate the sequence.
00:41:20Signal transmitting.
00:41:23Now, Commissioner,
00:41:25this should spoil your dinner.

00:41:44My answer, no response.
00:41:46That's impossible, it can't fly itself.

00:44:05All drones deactivated now before there are any more screw-ups.
00:44:07Sir, the master computer refuses to really get control.
00:44:10Then, by God, get somebody down there to smash the rotors.
00:44:12I want those drones kept on the ground.
00:44:13Yes, sir.
00:44:14Heliport control reports.
00:44:16Close the dome.
00:44:17The drone startup sequence has begun.
00:44:19Close the dome!
00:44:20No response, sir.
00:44:21Drones open. Drones clear for liftoffs.
00:44:27Drones two and three clear of pad.
00:44:31Drones four clear of pad.
00:44:33All right, scramble all of the amble air units.
00:44:35Shoot them down if necessary.
00:44:36Unit seven and ten, code three.
00:44:39Code three.
00:44:39No, no, no, no.
00:44:40Hopkins will blow your choppers right out of the sky.
00:44:42Look, there are other ways of handling this, Commissioner.
00:44:44Look, until I get word from higher authority, I'm still in charge here.
00:44:47Lieutenant, watch him!
00:44:47No, no, no. Call him back, Ward!
00:44:49Call him back!
00:44:50Unit seven and ten.
00:44:51Let's go!
00:44:52Seven, chopper pilot, I'm starting my liftoff.
00:44:59Emergency. Emergency.
00:45:01All units, code red.
00:45:03We're dealing with a crazy one.
00:45:05We are crazy like a fox.
00:45:07Sir, you have a call.
00:45:08Rachel Hawkins.
00:45:09Repeat.
00:45:10Emergency.
00:45:11Put it in here.
00:45:12Yes, sir.
00:45:12You can see now, Commissioner, that I'm quite capable of bringing this city to its knees.
00:45:24Of course, I hope it won't come to that.
00:45:26But the decision is up to you.
00:45:29You're making impossible demands.
00:45:30I need more time.
00:45:32I gave you 12 hours.
00:45:34Even your sluggish bureaucracy should be able to handle that.
00:45:37Lady, what you're asking for would take days, not hours.
00:45:40I still want more time.
00:45:41Very well.
00:45:43Noon tomorrow.
00:45:44Dammit, that's not good enough.
00:45:46Until noon.
00:45:48And counting.
00:45:49Sir, the mayor's on your private line.
00:46:00Come on, Hampton.
00:46:01Let's get out of here.
00:46:02We've got a lot to do and a short time to do it.
00:46:05Well, we've got 16 hours and 23 minutes, partner.
00:46:08Right.
00:46:11Governor Myers has activated 1,000 National Guardsmen to handle traffic problems and reduce the possibility of looting.
00:46:17Meanwhile, investigations continue to the cause of the mysterious blast which...
00:46:22Under.
00:46:23Under.
00:46:24Under what?
00:46:25You know, Proctor, I've noticed several microwave dishes on the police building.
00:46:29Yeah?
00:46:29So?
00:46:30What about it?
00:46:30Well, a possibility occurs.
00:46:32It's never been done before, but if Miss Hawkins used the Vanguard Code to beam microbursts of information onto those dishes,
00:46:39then she could reprogram the computer and not even be detected.
00:46:42Oh, yeah.
00:46:43Sure, I can buy that.
00:46:44I guess.
00:46:45We still don't know where in the hell she is.
00:46:48Well, I'm working on that.
00:46:49What do you want?
00:46:50A miracle?
00:46:50Yeah, you got one?
00:46:52I forgot.
00:46:53You are one.
00:46:56You don't make it easy, do you, Proctor?
00:46:59Hey, it's a jungle out here, Hampton.
00:47:01A real jungle.
00:47:02Christopher, in light of developments, I've reassigned Cass and Simico to work with you on this Hawkins case.
00:47:28They're on their way up.
00:47:29Good.
00:47:29We can use all the help we can get.
00:47:31Find anything useful in those police reports, Lisa?
00:47:33Coming up now, sir.
00:47:35Ah, here it is.
00:47:37Three shipments of computer parts hijacked en route to Los Angeles two weeks ago.
00:47:41Four electronics firms broken into on the same date.
00:47:44And during the past 24 hours, two public utility trucks vanished.
00:47:49Well, the computers and the electronics might be the widow, but utility trucks?
00:47:53They don't make any sense.
00:47:55There must be a connection there somewhere.
00:47:56We just have to dig it out.
00:47:58Yeah, and all we need is time.
00:48:01So far, the only thing we have to go on is the word under, which isn't a whole lot at this point.
00:48:05Utility trucks.
00:48:09Utility trucks.
00:48:12Utilities.
00:48:13Utilities.
00:48:15Wait a minute.
00:48:16Utilities.
00:48:17Telephone cables, gas lines, sewer lines.
00:48:21That's it.
00:48:24Sewers.
00:48:25That's what Quaid meant.
00:48:26The widow is underground.
00:48:28Of course.
00:48:28The storm drains.
00:48:29Well, it's a strong possibility, Christopher, but there are hundreds of miles of storm drains under this city.
00:48:34It would take days to locate her.
00:48:36Yeah, well, it's better than nothing.
00:48:39We'll keep in touch, Cyrus.
00:48:44Operations fleet.
00:48:49According to the dispatcher at the Department of Power,
00:48:52the first work stop from one of the missing utility trucks was on Norton Avenue between 5th and 6th Street.
00:48:57Yeah.
00:48:57The second truck disappeared a mile north of there on Larchmont Boulevard.
00:49:01Okay, let's check Norton first.
00:49:03Good.
00:49:11What is it?
00:49:12It sure ain't the ice cream, man.
00:49:20Hang on to your nuts and bolts, Captain.
00:49:27Hello, our electrical system and everything else.
00:49:51Sit tight, Hampton.
00:50:00Unless you want to live your next life as tinfoil.
00:50:02Listen, careful, Proctor.
00:50:18When I say the word, get out slow and easy.
00:50:22Keep your hands where I can see them.
00:50:24Understand?
00:50:25Oh, yeah.
00:50:26You got a real way with words.
00:50:27Get out.
00:50:28What about the lady?
00:50:30She'll be okay.
00:50:31If she's smart.
00:50:33Oh, she's smart.
00:50:34She's smart.
00:50:37Okay.
00:50:39Getting out.
00:50:48Beat it.

00:51:17Move.
00:51:18Good evening, Proctor.
00:51:28Ward? What is this?
00:51:31You're going to help us with Hawkins.
00:51:33You got a strange way of asking.
00:51:35What's all this cloak and dagger stuff?
00:51:37Call it insurance.
00:51:39I wanted your undivided attention.
00:51:41Why, you don't.
00:51:43There's six million lives on the line, and we're up against the clock.
00:51:45So I've arranged to swap.
00:51:47Maybe face to face with Hawkins, you can buy us some time.
00:51:51You could have saved yourself a lot of trouble.
00:51:53I know where she is.
00:51:55You do? Where?
00:51:56Oh, hold it.
00:51:57You just can't go storming in there with her finger on that button.
00:52:01This job's got to go down from the inside.
00:52:02Don't tell me my job, Proctor.
00:52:04Somebody has to.
00:52:08All right.
00:52:10I'll play along with your little charade.
00:52:13But my way.
00:52:17All right, Proctor, it's your show.
00:52:22Now we'll see if you're as good as everyone says you are.
00:52:24I'll see you.
00:52:26Bye.
00:52:30Bye.
00:52:30Bye.
00:52:30Bye.
00:52:31Bye.
00:52:31Bye.
00:52:32Bye.
00:53:32He's a grandstander.
00:53:33Now, wait a minute.
00:53:34No, sir. You wait a minute.
00:53:36My primary responsibility is to the safety of this city.
00:53:38As far as I'm concerned, Proctor has won life against six million.
00:53:42If he buys us some time, then it's worth it.
00:53:44Don't tell me about team players.
00:53:46Proctor tried to work with you earlier.
00:53:48When you refused, it cost the lives of two pilots.
00:53:52I'm going to tell you just like I told Proctor.
00:53:54This is my operation, and I call the shots unless otherwise notified.
00:53:58You have just been notified.
00:54:00This is now a Condor operation.
00:54:02I'm going to tell you.
00:54:32He's here, Rachel.
00:54:41Hey, I really like the way you fixed up the place, Widow.
00:54:46Well, you are as pathetic as ever.
00:54:47Don't you think you're carrying this whole thing a little bit too far?
00:54:50Too far?
00:54:52I spent three long years in that miserable prison.
00:54:56And all I could think about was this moment.
00:55:00Oh, I didn't know you cared.
00:55:02Before the day is through, Proctor,
00:55:05you are going to beg me to kill you.
00:55:08And I will.
00:55:09Just like you killed my brother.
00:55:12I had no choice.
00:55:13It was him and me.
00:55:15And I was a better shot.
00:55:16I am so tired of that stupid lie!
00:55:19You wanted me, and Seth got in the way.
00:55:23You murdered him!
00:55:25Look at it again, Widow.
00:55:26Your brother had no business being there.
00:55:29But he idolized you, and you encouraged him.
00:55:32Yeah, it was my gun.
00:55:33But the blame's all yours.
00:55:35You killed your brother, not me.
00:55:36Get him out of here!

01:02:58Remember, jungle out there.
01:03:26Sue me, those laser blasts are pouring off.
01:03:41You better watch those guys.
01:03:43Don't worry about me.
01:03:44Just concentrate on that computer.
01:03:46We only have 16 minutes to go.
01:03:48Drone target list coming up now.
01:03:52The first three strikes are in a time sequence.
01:03:56But Proctor's drone is on a direct kill order.
01:04:26No!
01:04:27No!
01:04:28No!

01:04:36No!
01:04:37The End
01:05:07He doesn't have a chance.
01:05:16Yes, he does. I'm pulling the plug.
01:05:19Don't work, Cass.
01:05:20Why not?
01:05:21Hawkins has remote programmed her entire plan into the police master computer.
01:05:24All orders to the mini-drones are originating there, not here.
01:05:27Well, can't the police shut it down?
01:05:29Impractical. A computer that size would have its own internal power supply.
01:05:32And by the time we broke through all the memory safeguards, half of L.A. would be history.
01:05:36Then what are our options?
01:05:38Only one. We have to deprogram the police computer from here by remote control, undoing everything Hawkins fed into it step by step.
01:05:45In ten minutes?
01:05:46Right. I'm gonna need your help, Cass.
01:05:47You got it. What's first?
01:05:49Determine her program structure, and then call all entry points.
01:05:52But, Lisa, that'll take time.
01:05:54Hopefully not more than ten minutes.
01:05:56Yeah, right.
01:05:56I'm gonna need your help.
01:06:26There's no way, Lisa.
01:06:34With the time we have left, it's not humanly possible.
01:06:45Did you learn how to do that?
01:06:47It comes naturally.
01:06:48There's nothing natural about that.
01:06:49It's working. Keep it up.
01:06:56There. We've broken through the initial subroutine.
01:06:59Now to search the logistical modules.
01:07:01Good. That gives me a major entry point.
01:07:04Four minutes and thirty seconds.
01:07:06How much time does you wake up?
01:07:35Three minutes and forty seconds.
01:07:47You're not reading that.
01:07:48Yes, I am.
01:07:49What are you, part computer?
01:07:51It's classified.
01:07:51The closer we get to the heart of the program, the more safeguards Hawkins is built in.
01:08:01Stand by, Cass.
01:08:02The closer we get to the heart of the program, the more safeguards will be built in.
01:08:03Silence.
01:08:04The closer we get to the heart of the program, the moreducers will be built in.
01:08:04The more
01:08:20of the program, the morePacific, the morecards will play.
01:08:22The more
01:08:23the more
01:08:2535 seconds Lisa Hawkins designed this program to be unbreakable looks like she's gonna succeed
01:08:55come on come on
01:09:25Hampton Hampton yes Proctor your timing is improving
01:09:55well I believe congratulations you're in order for a job well done well thank you Cyrus I had a lot of help from Cass and Sumiko getting Lisa no she was all right for a robot now wait a minute Christopher I read the reports she came through with flying colors oh she flies too huh figures oh come on Proctor admit it we make a good team made Hampton made now wait a minute Christopher oh I've got a meeting you'll have to excuse me
01:10:25but we'll discuss this later after you've had some rest I got a feeling it's gonna be a short rest
01:10:32you can slow down a little you know you've been through a lot no problem Hampton Doc gave me straight A's oh cracked ribs don't count
01:10:43is there anything you don't know about me of course like what personal details for example I have no information on how you might hold a woman
