00:00The Red Sox have had the 5-1 edge over the Yankees this season so far.
00:04Last time they saw them, they swept them, and then they shipped off Rafi Devers almost immediately.
00:11What grade would you give this team's performance since the Rafael Devers trade?
00:17And do you think this is a better team right now going into this Yankees series
00:23than they were in that June weekend when they swept them at Fenway?
00:28Yeah, I mean, I think probably a B+.
00:31They have played really well.
00:33They've taken care of business against some bad teams.
00:35They've played really well against some good teams, as we've seen.
00:38I think, honestly, people look at the Devers trade as like it was one of the biggest pieces of news
00:46that we've seen in the last few years, and the Red Sox beat for sure.
00:48It was shocking.
00:49We know everything that came with it.
00:51When you look at since that date, that's kind of right around when Anthony took off.
00:55And I would say he's been the Red Sox MVP, you know, since right about then.
01:00You know, he had about a slow two weeks when he first came up,
01:02and since then has been absolutely phenomenal for them.
01:05So I would say it's more about that.
01:08And when he's brought to the lineup, you know, he's basically, you know,
01:11obviously not the pop, but definitely the on-base for the production,
01:15you know, making it feel like that Devers hole wasn't there.
01:19And I think they did a good job, you know, withstanding that, you know,
01:21seven weeks without Bregman.
01:22You know, they kept their head above water, and then once he came back,
01:25they were able to kind of start rolling, even though he was a little slow
01:28at the beginning.
01:29And, you know, have to give them credit.
01:31And I've said all year that there's a lot of Red Sox teams in the last few years
01:34that have kind of, you know, had adversity in whatever fashion kind of sink them.
01:40This is a group that's embraced it, and they've kind of pushed through
01:43whatever's happened, whether it be, you know, the Devers trade
01:46or catastrophic injuries or drama or a bad trade deadline, whatever it is.
01:50They're in this position because they've been resilient, no question about that.
