Transcript
00:00Mr. Speaker and members, my first instinct was to get up here and tell you all about the numbers.
00:07But I think you already know those. I think you know that during the last presidential election,
00:16the Democratic candidate got 45% of the vote amount. But yet you all have, the other side
00:24has 65% of the seats. And now what you want to do is change that to 85% of the seats.
00:32Well, why are you doing that? And my thoughts is this. I think you're doing it because you
00:41know you're in decline. I think you know that you're not winning in terms of the public.
00:51And so rather than talk about all the evilness of all this, Bill, I thought I'd tell you something
00:59I hope you'll remember. When you go home, you can pick up the Bible. I know some of you are
01:10probably Bible told us, so I'm talking to the Bible readers. Go to the book of Esther.
01:24Go to the book of Esther. When you want to talk about changing the rules, go to the book
01:28of Esther. You'll read about Haman. Haman wanted to change the rules. Haman was a Persian official
01:39that was close to the king. And he wanted to change the rules because Mordecai wouldn't
01:47bow to him. And Mordecai was a Jew. And so he wanted to change the rules to kill all the Jews.
01:55And so what he did is he changed the maps. No, I know he didn't. He built the gallows. He built
02:07the gallows for Mordecai. And so I'll get you to the end of the story. You know who they put on the
02:19gallows first? Haman. And so when you look at this, members, I hope you'll recognize a couple of
02:31things. One is that for you Bible readers again, I don't care what chapter you read. I don't care
02:40if you read all of it or read a little bit of it. One of the things that's always going to be prevalent
02:47is evil will never win. And so when you look at these maps and doing this to the black and brown
03:00community in Texas, that's evil. And I don't think you'll ever win. I think you'll win perhaps
03:10a battle. But the war, the war, you will always remember that the war will be won by right
03:21and justice.
03:23David Rubenstein Jr.: Chair recognize Mr. Romero.
03:30Opa.
03:32Monday-feel scene in Texas.
03:38There is no way.
03:40We need justice, and so I don't belong to the Lord when you'reOUGHTZ.
03:43We need justice, and so I look at this coming fera that the man who believes I've got
03:47to you.
03:48And given me with all cores of the bubbles.
03:49So if we're not going to fill out the earth it's a little bit lesstime.
03:52We're talking about the såd is the lightäsler being done by the way.
