00:00I see you open your store. Are you nervous? Very good. Okay. How have you done? I did good. Better than expected? Yeah. Yeah. My best is so far. Yeah. It's like mixed. Not what I wanted but I've got to do what I want to do. So that's good. Okay. And Alexandria how do you do then? I did better than I expected. Yeah. I'm really happy. What's your sort of breakdown of grades then?
00:30I did. I don't need one for each subject but in terms of each number you've got, each level? Well I've got five GCSEs at seven and above. Right. So I'm really happy with that. I've got a distinction and that's all I can like it. Sorry. And what about yourself Andrea? Again similar. It's not what I wanted but I got what I need. So I've definitely tried to prepare myself mentally for that and I'm happy that I got these. How did you feel coming down this morning? Very nervous.
00:59I didn't feel like it actually was happening. Like it just felt, oh okay I'm just doing this now. Yeah. Are you more relaxed now you've opened your envelope? Yeah. I'm just glad that at least I know so then I know what to do for me. And what's your plans? Are you going to sixth form? Sixth form. What are you going to study?
01:15I'm going to study art, psychology, media and French. And yourself? And then for myself, economics, business and Spanish. Are you doing it this afternoon to celebrate?
01:24Um, probably watching film. Oh yeah. It's also left the arse that I'm just going to relax. Yeah.
01:31Okay and Ms. Lanigan, GC results today. Are you pleased with the results?
01:35We are absolutely delighted with our results for our Year 11 students this year. They've worked incredibly hard and that hard work has really paid off.
01:43Over a quarter of grades are at level 7, 8 or 9. And almost 70% of students are leaving us with five GCSEs including English and Maths. So we really are delighted.
01:54And it's down to the hard work and determination of the students but also the staff who've really gone above and beyond to support them.
02:02And not forgetting our parents and carers who've really worked in partnership with us to ensure these great outcomes.
02:08Okay so how did you feel coming to school this morning? Oh I was really nervous but I just hope for the best.
02:16And how did you do? I did quite well, yeah. What do you mean by quite well? Have you got a sort of breakdown of what results you got?
02:21Um, I got seven nines, two eads and a seven in the distinction starting business.
02:27And what's your plans now? Where are you going to go and study and what are you going to do?
02:29Um, I want to do maths, further maths and economics in, you know.
02:33That's 6-1 here, yeah? And what about yourself? Are you nervous coming in this morning? Yeah.
02:37Um, how do you feel now? I feel really happy. What did you get? I got a nine, three, sevens in the rest of the year.
02:44And what's your plans? I'll go up with the degree of biology and chemistry and either do it or maths at the 6-1 here.
02:51Are you going out to celebrate this afternoon? Okay then Maya, how do you feel coming to school this morning?
02:57Um, I was kind of nervous but I think I was okay, I was quite excited but a little bit of nervous.
03:03So, uh, yeah. And how did you do?
03:05Uh, I did really well. I got six nines and four eights, uh, which is exactly what I was hoping for so I couldn't ask for more.
03:12So how do you feel now?
03:14Uh, really happy, yeah. It's definitely what I was hoping for, yeah.
03:18And what's your plans now in terms of where you're going to study?
03:21Uh, I'm going to the sixth form of study, um, English Literature, History and French. But anyway.
03:26Are you celebrating this afternoon?
03:28Yeah, I'm going out with my friends and I'm back out.
03:31Okay, and Imogen, how do you feel coming to school this morning?
03:34I was really nervous. I think just the anticipation of waiting for them was really nerve-wracking.
03:38But I don't know if I was worried for the results, I was just more worried about coming in and seeing everybody again, do you know what I mean?
03:44And how did you do?
03:46I did really well, I'm really pleased with myself. I got all eights, a seven and a nine.
