00:33Hi, I'm Rachel Dang. I'm the owner of Urban Nail Box,
00:36located in the beautiful, evergreen city of Seattle, Washington.
00:45I'm born and raised in Vietnam.
00:4716 years old, I travel like 30 abroad to the States.
00:51I met my partner here in Seattle,
00:53so that's why I stayed here for the last 14 years.
00:57It's just great.
00:58I think this is going to be my forever home.

01:02The spirit of my parents, like, not giving up.
01:05They are entrepreneurs, too.
01:07And that's why I got the inspiration from them.
01:10I don't know anything else besides nail.
01:13Why don't you start a business doing nails?
01:15You know, everything has to be starting somewhere,
01:17and that is the journey of me starting Urban Nail Box.
01:21I first started using Swear since 2017, you know?
01:25Swear has been my great assistant since the beginning.
01:30Before Swear, it was hard and very inconvenient to me and my clients.
01:36You know, checking my schedule or, like, booking an appointment
01:40or even, like, checking in and checking out.
01:43It's super hard for me and my clients.
01:45I have to write everything down in the books, like, who I'm going to have on a day.
01:50And if they cancel, I have to scrape it off and then move it to another page.
01:54And you have to keep track of a stack of paper.
01:57While I'm doing nails, there are people calling in to make an appointment
02:00or rescheduling their appointment.
02:02And I have to stop in the middle, I think, three to four times during one service,
02:06which my customers are getting a little frustrated because of that.
02:09I started using Swear online booking and appointments.
02:12With Swear, pretty much everything that I have day-to-day operation is involved with Swear.
02:19It's helped me a lot with my job and it makes my day a lot easier.

03:33The advice that I would give to an entrepreneur, don't be afraid.
03:37And I really hope whoever want to start their own business really have their faith in themselves.
03:42Do everything with your heart and don't be afraid to fail.
