00:00Wick Rosebeck is going to be shoulder-to-shoulder, arm-in-arm with Bill Chisholm.
00:04He's going to need that guidance.
00:05Again, he's never been in this situation before,
00:07and he has the luxury of having one of the better owners,
00:09especially in the NBA and sports in general.
00:12Because I was talking to Tranny Casey about this on her early edition show last night.
00:16Do you think there's any part of this that's a little too convenient
00:19that it's a year that doesn't have championship expectations for this roster?
00:23So they're saying we're sharing the responsibility of ushering this team
00:27through this year because the expectations aren't that great?
00:30I mean, I think it was going to be like this regardless.
00:32I mean, the sale was made in March, right?
00:34At that point, you thought you had Jason Tatum.
00:36He was still going to be here for this year.
00:38You knew changes were coming, but you probably,
00:40even if you just lost Drew Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis
00:42and dipped below the second apron, had you had Jason Tatum,
00:45the expectations of this team would be crazy differently.
00:48It would be a lot different.
00:50So I don't think it's necessarily that
00:52because nobody could have predicted Jason Tatum tearing his Achilles.
00:55That's the biggest issue with this team.
00:56Like, if they had him and Jalen Brown, you're automatically a contender.
01:00We've seen it the last nine years they've been together.
01:02Every year those guys are together, you're a contender.
01:04So I don't think it's necessarily that.
01:06It's just, it's terrible timing to take over a team
01:09when you're getting ran through by the second apron
01:11and then you lose your best player, an all-NBA player.
01:14So you feel bad for Chisholm?
01:15I do a little bit.
01:16I mean, part of me, yes, part of me does.
01:18I mean, obviously, like, there's no really telling that.
01:20This is just a terrible time to come through.
01:22And I think for the most part, fans do understand
01:24that there was no way around this.
01:25Like, they understand the weight of the second apron
01:27and how it's going to affect teams moving forward.
