00:11and this is my wrap-up from the first season. I had a video that's been on my stories in previous
00:19weeks about setting up this re-watch club of Stranger Things. We're doing two episodes per
00:25week through to the start of season 5 in the autumn, late November it starts. We've now
00:33reached the end of season 1 and got me thinking about a question that people have often posed
00:38about Stranger Things. Should it have just been one season? It's a sentiment that's often seen
00:44online. I think I probably thought it at some point when in between seasons and annoyed by the
00:51long waits but on this re-watch I personally think the answer to that is no actually. A lot of the
00:59show is set up to continue like it's clear that from the finale of season 1 as contained as it is
01:06it wraps up the story of the season. We get Will back from the Upside Down you know that's resolved
01:14but lots of the season is still setting up future stuff you know we've got Will with these you know
01:23upside down worms crawling out of his throat. Eleven's disappeared at the end you know there's hints
01:31that she's still around but you know that was unresolved yeah so while it could have ended at season
01:39one it probably would have felt you know unsatisfying in truth you know if we lived in some alternate
01:46dimension where there was only one season of Stranger Things I think people would talk about
01:50it like really good but kind of disappointing that it wasn't continued you know left a lot you know
01:57waiting to be resolved so yeah that's my thoughts at least. I'm also a bit biased because I love
02:04um in the future seasons I just love all the new characters that get added and uh the redemption
02:11arc for Steve Harrington and his sort of relationship with like Dustin and stuff and that wouldn't have
02:16happened if we didn't get more than one season of Stranger Things so yeah I'm a bit biased there but
02:22personally I don't think they meant for it to be one season there was enough in the season finale
02:28to think that it will continue and uh yeah I'll check back in in a few weeks when we've got our
02:35wrap-up of season two of Stranger Things and let you know if it was worth it coming back after all.
