00:00This is Hamster Simulator by the developers Horizon Lab LLP and it was released on the

00:083rd of April 2025. If you have played I Am Cat then you might be tempted by this game but apart

00:15from the same art style there are not many similarities. This style always reminds me of

00:21the Simpsons cartoon. Why no one has brought a Simpsons game to VR yet is beyond me. So you are

00:27playing a hamster. View the world through this little furry animal's eyes. Everything is large

00:32everything is also bright and colourful. There is currently one location you can visit the toy room

00:39day or night and then you can also purchase attic location and the kitchen. So you are playing

00:44find all the cherries before the time runs out. Spin your hands to run. Get around the laid out course

00:51climb ropes and jump gaps compete against other scores to get on the world leaderboard.

00:57Some of the obstacles were pretty fun but to be honest it doesn't really scream play me again.

01:03At least I Am Cat gave you a bunch of challenges to do and things to collect exploring at free will.

01:09This is fun but that novelty wears off quite quickly. I found the mechanics to be a little

01:16troublesome at times. Rope climbing was often tricky and pushing buttons often took more than a few

01:22attempts and I think a lot of people may struggle with the hamster's movement mechanics.

01:28This game does have potential but I think it needs some serious thought to adding way more content.

01:35So maybe another year of development. Anyway no harm in trying this out. Just don't expect too much.
