00:00Welcome back to TMZ Live.
00:02There's a Kennedy situation that we've got to talk about.
00:06I always thought this was interesting.
00:08Chris Pratt is married into a family that is traditionally
00:14known as, like, the Democratic Party family.
00:20Well, in the past, yes.
00:22In the past, yes.
00:23Certainly.
00:23But now you have RFK Jr.
00:26Who is, by the way, is a Democrat.
00:29Democrat, but is in the cabinet with President Trump.
00:33And supported Trump in the election.
00:35Supported Trump very vocally.
00:38So how does Chris Pratt feel about this?
00:40And Chris Pratt, we should say, has never said anything
00:42about his politics.
00:44We know he talks about his religion.
00:46There are reasons to believe he is conservative,
00:49though he's never actually said anything about politics.
00:51But there are definite reasons to believe that.
00:53There are reasons that you can believe that.
00:54So how does he feel about the RFK Jr. situation?
00:58How does it sit with the family?
01:01He talked about it with Bill Maher.
01:03He was on Bill's podcast, Club Random.
01:06And this is what he said about his interactions
01:09with RFK Jr.
01:10And I think you can parse out something about how the family
01:13feels about RFK Jr. as well.
01:15I've spent, you know, a number of occasions hanging with him
01:20just in a strictly, you know, family dinner kind of vibe.
01:23And I really got along with him well.
01:25He's great.
01:26I think he's great.
01:27I think he's funny.
01:27He's wonderful.
01:28I like him.
01:29Yes.
01:29I love him.
01:30Politics, it's a nasty business.
01:34And so my little bit of experience, I've been able to see
01:36how the person that you are can be sometimes in stark contrast
01:39to the person that your enemy is saying that you are.
01:43And in politics, you inherit enemies.
01:45You know, what's really interesting about that
01:47is that his mother-in-law, she dated and then married
01:53a very famous Republican, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
01:56So it's not like that family hasn't had direct experience.
02:00They've been down this road.
02:01They've been down the road.
02:03I got to say that I have a lot of issues
02:07with RFK Jr.'s policies, but I know him
02:12and I know him mostly from my gym
02:15because we go to the same gym, at least when he lived in LA.
02:19And he was always a really nice guy.
02:23And we would talk and laugh.
02:26And, you know, I kind of get what Chris Pratt is saying.
02:30We always talk about this around Thanksgiving, right?
02:33That you have in a big family, there are going to be people
02:36who not everybody agrees when it comes to politics.
02:40So how much do you disagree before you just lie?
02:43That's the question.
02:44How do you sit around the table?
02:45But it sounds like, you know,
02:47RFK is still, they're going to be fine.
02:50Although it's not true with a lot of the rest
02:51of the Kennedy family,
02:53because a lot of them are really against.
02:54Yeah, I'm pretty sure Jack Schlossberg,
02:56I don't think is going to be breaking bread.
02:58Rory Kennedy, there are a lot of people.
03:00Yeah, it is refreshing though, right?
03:02I think you see a lot of people,
03:04you associate them with their party.
03:06I think that's what Chris is trying to say here, right?
03:07That if he's a Democrat or he's a Republican,
03:09I got to hate him.
03:10He's like, I can disagree with some of his policies
03:12and I can still like him.
03:13So I thought it was a refreshing take that, okay,
03:15we can separate the policies and the parties
03:18and just people's personalities.
03:20Sometimes you can.
03:21Yeah, hopefully.
03:22Hey, this is Keith from D.C., man.
03:24But on the Chris Patton, RFK Jr. situation,
03:28I felt like, you know, it was copacetic and laughs
03:31when it's at home and I guess behind the scenes
03:34at this point.
03:35You know, when it comes to politics and his position,
03:38he would rather stay out of it because, you know,
03:41people can take your opinion and spin it
03:44or take it the wrong way being that, you know,
03:46when it comes to political atmospheres, you know,
03:50it could be radically charged about the littlest things.
03:54You're right.
03:54And by the way, kind of a smart career move
03:58because why piss off half your, half the people who-
04:02I think there's, he said,
04:03that's why he doesn't talk about his politics.
04:05Kind of makes sense.
