04:48Then he sticks the jab into Valdez and he backs him into the corner.

04:54They're in the right position, but he's not getting his head offline as he's going straight

04:58When you've got a guy with long arms the way Valle does, he's going to be able to thread
05:02that needle with the right hand.
05:04I'll tell you one reason he's probably not getting his head offline.
05:06He's trying to punch with Valle, so he's trying to keep his head in a position where he's
05:09balanced for both sides to punch.
05:11It can work against him or for him, though, champ, like you're saying.
05:14You may notice any time Valle throws, you see Valdez is looking to punch.
05:20He's trying to punch with him.
05:21He's trying to create exchanges.
05:22He's trying to create a scenario where he can be close more often because Valle is looking
05:28to establish a middle range.
05:29Well, there's a stat.
05:30Home run hitters have the most strikeouts as well.
05:32So if you're going to stay on the line and go for it, you might get the knockout or
05:36you might get knocked out.
05:42Valdez is able to...
05:44Touched body to the body there.

05:53You know, he's Valdez can't fight.

06:19to the trigger.
06:20So he's using various methods of deception when he closes the gap and when he starts his offense.
06:26He's using feints, using that jousting lead hand.
06:29Sometimes just simply jabbing, like right there.
06:36It'll offset the spot that he chooses to enter the pocket.
06:39It'll offset the timing Valdez is trying to establish to punch with him.
06:45That was a strong jab on to Valdez, who keeps that guard up high.
06:49Both hitting each other for that hook right there.

08:01Especially when you're going to get a guy who's so offensive,
08:04you hit him with a shot they don't see.
08:06The problem is that you can get hit, too, and Valle is a big puncher.

09:49They're really maturing into a solid fighter.
09:53Well-rounded.
09:54He's already a very good fighter, but now he's maturing into that.

10:01And Paul, you mentioned that body shot that he just keeps sticking that jab there
10:04that just hurts Valdez from a distance.
10:07Yeah, yeah, like I said, he keeps it deceptive,
10:09because you've got to break Valdez down.
10:10He's trying to punch at you constantly.
10:12So you keep breaking him down by obviously hurting him with chokes like that,
10:15a big left hook, and also, you know, changing the trajectory of the shots
10:20and your entrances and so on and so forth
10:22so that you break up the ability of Valdez to punch with you
10:25as you're breaking him down.
10:26And once you break him down, he's not going to have the energy to punch with you.
10:29And you're starting to get to that point here with Valdez.
10:31Valdez is trying to fight back and punch with him,
10:33but now you're starting to see he's covering up more,
10:35and he's punching back less.
10:36And Valdez, a few moments ago, champ, while you were talking, was trying to tie up Valdez.
10:41He just did not allow it.
10:42Valdez was pushing off, trying to wiggle his hands free, punch on the inside.
10:47Takes two to tango, it takes two to clinch as well.
10:49You could just hear those thudding lefts right to Valdez's body from Valdez, punishing.
10:54Valdez needs to be careful.

10:57He's still throwing punches in the middle, landing some of these shots like that.

13:47Chris you mentioned the comfort that Valle had not to get too comfortable
13:51But does he look like he's getting even more comfortable as this goes on? Absolutely
13:54I mean he's controlling distance so well right now something I think has been a detriment to him in the past
13:58He figured it out. He knows how to fight tall
14:01Yeah, and look at the plate it presents a position even when he's got to be defensive steps back maybe one one-and-a-half steps
14:07And he's right back on the pressure right back always in position to punch

14:13move around much much more
14:15Coming out about a minute left here in round number four, but you got to give Valdez credit
14:23He definitely looked pretty wilted by the end of that last round and though he is still punching
14:27He's still coming forward. Oh finding some new life speaking of that
14:31He just landed a nice left hook upstairs that caught by a little tall and was with his hand down
14:39Yeah, Valdez is trying maybe physically being broken down
14:42But mentally he's still trying with with the energy that he's got left
14:46I mean, he's not the energy at around one, but he's still trying now
14:49He's still got a lot of fight left down, but he is getting outclassed right hand up top there from Valle

15:03There's one of those guys. Yeah, he's durable. Yes, he can he can dish it out
15:06But if he can't hit you if he can't feel like he's in the fight
15:09He's gonna wilt that much faster. That's how you beat a guy like this. You break him down mentally

18:44Especially that it's been a very motivated Valdez right yes, this guy's not washed up by any means

18:58Intimidating as he gets pressed in there by by with the size difference

19:43I was like, you know, I think I think Valle is too big, but it's not that he's too good
19:47He's just he's just he's not the bigger man tonight. He's the better man
19:50He's he's like you said he's staying ahead of everything
19:52He's putting great combinations together showing a different different fold to his style and
19:58Valdez is is valiant, but he's being outworked out punch out class
20:01about to get to round six here on this is there something that does he have to
20:10Sell out a little more Valdez on by to get himself back in this thing
20:14I know we've watched some fights tonight and maybe it wasn't going as one-sided as we thought before but
20:19He's definitely doesn't look like he's out of the fight
20:22But it doesn't look like he has the advantage on the fight so far. I don't know

20:31You know, I don't know how much harder he can work because Valle has shown a pretty good defense tonight better than usual

20:46Because on the outside middle distance range you got a guy with a 71 inch reach and he's 5 foot 10 and he's landing double the amount of punches

21:03So it is pouring on there for Dominic Valle
21:07Good shot there from Valdez. That's another thing slipping those punches in between

21:12Maybe Valle gets a little more over anxious punches, you know, knocks himself out running into shots
21:17And you can hope you get your time a good one, but I don't know about this still same. I mean by you still staying pretty sharp

23:39By looking very strong so far through six rounds of this eight round super featherweight matchup

23:50He's fought with a lot of hearts so far even with taking all those body shots even get doubled up on punches. He does keep coming
23:57And trying he's trying to win trying to find a way. He's just being out hustled
24:01But definitely feels like he's got the big-time advantage of this matchup as we get to round seven here
24:22Wonder if it's got to be on his mind if he wants to close the show
