00:00For the height Chris hair does not count
00:19I don't see a four-inch height disparity between these two
00:22Orozco was 6-2 and Val Saints 5-10. I don't see that didn't seem that much taller a little bit
00:31Most of those official heights. I've seen stuff falling. We both have
00:35First of all Val Saints is not 5-10
00:38I used to play back. I was 5-7 and a half. I'm 5-7 and a half and he's not my height
00:42No, no, he's 5-5 and a half
00:44Whatever their heights, they are underway. Jarrell blasts Val Saints
00:49Taking on Rodolfo Orozco
00:52We were in the fight. He's a big boy. We were sitting next to him. I was like, wow
00:57Big guy
00:58As I said, fought on the big stage before fought Conor Ben
01:02The problem in that fight is he brought physical pressure
01:04But just didn't throw a lot of punches once he was in range
01:06Against blasts Val Saints, you have to throw
01:08Yeah, you gotta understand how to negotiate your distance
01:11By throwing punches on your way in
01:13You can't be in two steps
01:15Get in and then throw punches
01:16There's a lot of these guys that won't let you in
01:17No punch
01:19Watch your head as well
01:21Val Saints certainly a power puncher at this weight class
01:23A sharp puncher too is Val Saint
01:27And he picks his punch as well
01:28He's got equal power in his right and his left hand
01:31Fights from both sides seamlessly
01:32Great awareness
01:34Haitian Olympians, he's got the amateur pedigree as well
01:42Always keeps his legs underneath him and absolutely full of confidence every time we talk to him
01:48Good left hook on the way out from Orozco so far boxing well
01:53Like Orozco spent time on his footwork in between fights
01:56Yeah, Orozco's been able to touch Val Saint
01:57Especially with that jab so far
01:59Oh
02:01Body shot but a good counter left hook there by Orozco
02:03Body shot by a Val Saint first though
02:05Smart about saying to go to the body here on Orozco because he showed the durability in that Connor Ben fight taking big shots upstairs
02:10But Ben's not much of a body puncher
02:12I'm gonna test that test that midsection both guys talked about working the body
02:18We said how are you gonna manage the distance against Val Saint?
02:21He said I'm gonna get him and work the body slow him down
02:25Val Saint said sure you will he's gonna somehow manage the distance
02:28Oh good right hand wow that was a big right hand
02:32A little shook off the faint jab to El Sal Singh this guy's in a very well on the entrance
02:37All right check left hook as well deceptive as hell
02:40That's when you get those feints going you got a guy who's sharp and athletic like that. You can pull off moves like that
02:52But also certainly in that puncher stance 25 knockouts in 33 wins
03:00I'll see he's one of those guys when he finds his rhythm in his range
03:03I mean you can see him he starts to have fun
03:06He's still dealing with that range right now for Orozco
03:09So I'm just a clip with a jab
03:12Still being cautious. He needs to be he's got a puncher in front of him. It's also not used to having a range disparity
03:17He has very long arms
03:19He's got a guy who's looking at him eye to eye and is
03:23Similar in terms of reach you're getting that's why he's getting hit with some of these shots on the end of the punches
03:30Russell's done a good job though presenting himself consistently in front of Val Saint
03:33Trying to keep that mental pressure going
03:35Trying to keep that mental pressure going
03:37How do you want the best part?
03:39How do you want the best part?
03:40The United States is 104.5
03:42The Beast very young DJ Kreega
03:48This is more black
03:57Got no more
03:58We're back and getting ready for round number two, Darrell Blasphal Singh.
04:19Having trouble finding his range, but when he did, some good power punches throughout that first round, gentlemen.
04:26We have a fight on our hands. A tactical battle.
04:27Yeah, absolutely. You know, we just saw in that replay, they traded left hook.
04:30So Roscoe with one upstairs. Val Saint with one down below.
04:35And then we saw that replay of that right-hand rocket that Val Saint landed toward the end of the round.
04:4470%, 77% knockout ratio for the Haitian Olympian. Has real power in both hands.
04:52Last time here in Kissimmee, Florida against Angel Ruiz.
04:56This is the one blemish on his record of no contest because of a clash of heads.
05:00A fight he was really pulling away in.
05:02You know, Roscoe here, he's not going to be able to match the speed and athleticism.
05:06He's got to use his timing to beat the speed. He's got to punch in between.
05:09He's durable and he's confident in his ability to take a shot. So we've just got to punch with the speed of Val Saint.
05:18In short, he has to use his 40-fight experience.
05:22Yeah. I mean, he's never been in with a guy like this, though.
05:25And it's nice to Val Saint there. Even though he got trapped on the rope, you see how he changes levels consistently, keeps himself a changing target.
05:33And although Roscoe trapped him there, he wasn't able to get anything clean landed on him.
05:37But again, the position game, it's preventing Val Saint from setting up things on his own, though.
05:41In the very least, even if Val Saint gets away, it's still not Val Saint who's setting up the offense a lot of times as he's more so in retreat mode, trying to use that pressure of Roscoe against him.
05:53But a couple shots to the pit of the stomach, Chris. I know you saw him.
05:56Val Saint's body work right now is really, really nice. He's putting water in the basement, as our friend Teddy Atlas always says.
06:02And then a nice straight right hand down low. And you see Roscoe push his glute belt line down.
06:07That usually means they're trying to push for some air.
06:11You know, that cup starts to feel uncomfortable.
06:13You know, a good body shot.
06:14Push it into your ribs, into your lower abs.
06:16You see, again, Val Saint changing the height and then smothering when he gets trapped on the ropes.
06:21I love how active Val Saint is in a clinch. He does not just, he doesn't get lax, he doesn't relax.
06:26He gets on you, he's moving you, he's using his hand fighting.
06:32But Orozco so far doing a good job of kind of bringing physical pressure and making Val Saint operate just like now against the ropes in a small ring.
06:40Yeah, for the most part, Orozco has controlled the center of the ring, which is exactly what you want to do when you're a puncher with his stature.
06:47Oh, good. Body shot again.
06:48Oh, that shot. There you go. See, just the belt line. Felt that one. Face got red.
06:53Oh!
06:53And this is what I've seen. That center ring now, Val Saint sets up offense, establishes something.
06:58Prior to this moment, Orozco has been the one kind of pushing the pace.
07:03Even if Val Saint had been landing the good occasional pot shots and body shots, it was Orozco pushing him back.
07:07If Val Saint starts to set himself a center ring, Orozco's going to go really into some problems.
07:11Because then Orozco is going to have the full options of all his arsenal.
07:15The body work from Val Saint, man. He's setting the table.
07:23Nice slip up against the ropes. That's the kind of guy you think you got him, and then either you don't got him or he gets you.
07:28I love the change of speed. He can be relaxed, calm, look comfortable, and then, boom, just goes in the fifth gear.
07:38That ability to snap certainly belongs to Darrell Blast Val Saint. Incredible athlete.
07:46But also that sense of timing you're going to see in the replays here. Look at that.
07:49That dig to the body, and you see Orozco push the belt line down, trying to make space for air.
07:54There's that right hand over the top, which Val Saint has been setting up every moment of this fight.
08:00Looking to land that right hand upstairs. He's landed one in each round. Very solid.
08:05Talk about experience. Orozco, 186 rounds as a professional.
08:24Talk about his power. 33 wins, 25 by knockout.
08:28Get that feeling that Darrell Valsain has kind of figured out a little bit the timing of Orozco.
08:42Dealing with that reach disparity. He's kind of turning his athleticism.
08:48Nice stiff jab.
08:49Yeah, man. We can hear those rings. I don't know if you guys can hear them at home.
08:52Oh!
08:52God, a right hand.
08:56Ow.
08:58I'll say now starting out. Oh, clash of heads.
09:00I'll say now starting to put some more oomph on those counters.
09:07By the way, if you're listening at home and you want to know if a punch really landed,
09:10it's when Chris starts getting Argentine.
09:13That's what's coming out of you?
09:15I go, aye.
09:17You know that's a real punch.
09:19And it's come out of you a couple of nice uppercuts.
09:22Man, it's mixing up these punches so well.
09:24And he turns the trajectory of them so quickly.
09:26I think it's coming out one way and it comes out another way.
09:32In Orozco's effort, not gaining the results that he'd like it to gain.
09:36Oh, that jab goes back to it.
09:43A little bit of head roll, fires a jab at the middle, splits the guard.
09:47Stop! Stop!
09:49Sweat the...
09:50Let him go.
09:51Box, move beyond the box.
09:53A 40-fight veteran, and Darrell Blas Valsain is picking him apart.
09:59Kick that jab, Luke!
10:00You see why the Pro Box TV team is so high on this kid.
10:08Orozco had a good round number one.
10:11Taller fighter, good jab, but Val St. making the proper adjustments.
10:17I remember working with a Division I strength coach at the collegiate level in the NCAA.
10:22And I asked him, what's the number one thing you'd look for in an athlete?
10:25And they said, their ability to change directions.
10:27The speed at which they're going to change directions.
10:29We see that from Val St.
10:31Oh, just like that.
10:35Probably just as Chris was talking about, a beautiful slip and counter.
10:38A little blood from the nose of Val St.
10:43So, like I said, some of those shots, especially the jab, is getting through on Orozco.
10:49And here comes the intensity of Orozco.
10:51Make no mistake, it's been a fight.
10:53Orozco has been in it.
10:57He's keeping Val St. honest.
10:58Yeah.
11:00This is what we are looking for in that Angel Ruiz fight against Val St.
11:08The fight ended, unfortunately, in a clash of heads and became a no decision.
11:12But Val St. was looking really good.
11:14We wanted to know how he was going to look as the fight progressed.
11:16Would he be able to keep up this level of sharpness?
11:19We might get that answer tonight.
11:20Because Orozco is a very durable guy.
11:23He is big for this weight class.
11:24Man, when he was come to our fighter meetings, double-check your bow card,
11:28make sure you're looking at the right guy.
11:30Huge 154-pounder.
11:32Tall, wide shoulders, thick in there.
11:34From really even his legs, his head, up to his shoulders, all thick.
11:38Oh!
11:39Three, two, three, three, four, five, five, six, five, six, six, six, seven, eight, five, six, six, six, six, ten, nine, two, nine, two, nine, one.
12:08You
12:14Well, let's go versus about Saints and I'm 54 pounds in the Haitian Olympia and once again looking good in round three
12:22There's that beautiful pennant right hand counter
12:25Slipping and sliding
12:28Seeing very elusive but also landing good counter shots throughout
12:32One thing rodolfo Orozco has not mentally checked out of this fight
12:41He's been in there trying to make the ring small trying to land punches
12:44Now I think he understands that the second half of this fight is where he has the ability to shine kind of somewhere in the connor bent
12:49Fight he came on late
12:51out hustled early by the athleticism and explosiveness
12:57But I don't think he took as much damage in that fight as he has so far here from Val St
13:01Head in the body, but he's been busier in this fight than he was in the connor bent
13:04Yes, and I started out just kind of walking forward eating a lot of punches. Whoa
13:08Now saying swinging for the fences. That was a dangerous attempt from them. See I'm gonna lead left hand like that from so far away
13:15Good, right. Well as an uppercut to a person see my medisk
13:18Holyfield buster anybody remember but look at the total punches lemon Val St
13:22Ahead in every round, but it's been closed gentlemen. Oh nasty body shot inside there
13:27Just three punches and last two rounds two and round number one
13:33But as you said Chris, they've been the clean crisp sharp punches
13:42Yep, maybe score head Jimmy. This is what a Roscoe wants, right?
13:45This is this the kind of fight that gets him in in the door because if you're gonna sit here and match which on the outside with
13:51Someone with this kind of speed and length and athleticism and you're gonna be hitting the air and getting touched up
13:56But if you make it rough it takes away
14:00Those gifts that Val St has if you make it Mexican if you make it a brawl inside
14:05different kind of fight
14:07And we've never seen anyone be able to do that to Val St
14:10So we don't know how he's gonna react
14:12But also this one scheduled for ten rounds and he said an angel Ruiz fight here in Kissimmee
14:20Clash of heads and I'm cutting that one short. That would have been Ruiz's strategy had the fight continued
14:30Oh
14:32It's not a rip in left hand. I'll say it's on to find some success here in the southpaw stands
14:43That's the thing he seamlessly switches
14:46Fights so well from both and
14:49Roscoe's not seeing the left hand's coming. He's taking three very cleanly here
14:52Yeah, it took time for Val St to set up his right hand not the left found that one right away good right hand from a Roscoe by the best punch
15:05He's landed tonight
15:14Took the legs out from under him. He's looking to hold on that's the person I've ever seen him hurt
15:18Yeah, double jab left cross. I don't think a Roscoe expected about saying to start getting sharp and staying in the southwest dance like this
15:25I don't know if he thought that I'll sink it hurt him either. That was a big shot
15:29The angles are changing at the stance though guys
15:35Beautiful job on the power punches
15:41Seamless flow from southpaw to orthodox
15:48There's very few fighters who can fight equally effective from both sides
15:58Immediately comes to mind Marvin Hackler of course and lately the great Terence Crawford
16:03Val Saint another guy look at that beautiful little left hand to the liver and then he was fighting out of the golf that are the
16:10South ball position the last 90 seconds of that round and he landed three or four
16:14Really good straight left hands down the middle the fourth one being the biggest would actually rock the Roscoe and had him holding on
16:29There's a different kind of respect Paulie when you respect someone's footwork and their boxing ability and when you respect their power
16:35Orozco now has to respect the power
16:37Yeah, I've blasted all things things change one event went went about same one to the south plus dance
16:40Some things change when you know someone can hurt you
16:47Oh good right here, but also go along the ropes good shot
16:50He's been fighting up to this point like he believes
16:53Valsing doesn't have the power to stop him
16:55Mexican fighters been walking forward being very aggressive
16:59Also fighting that now scene doesn't have the conditioning to keep this up
17:03That's the thing well, we're only not even halfway through yet
17:13I'll say it's been boxing well, but the Ross was hoping that the consistent pressure he puts on about saying maybe starts to pay off
17:19Look at a power punch lead for blast Val Saints. Yeah, he's he's opening the sand is running out of the hourglass
17:24But we talk to times a lot of really explosive guys do run out of gas because they burn such high-grade tests
17:33That they oh don't generally keep it up
17:36But here's the difference as I'm seeing it from the outside
17:40Chris is he hasn't been able to make blast fight in a way he doesn't want to fight no
17:44You know blast is able to move and stop and get his breath back
17:47It's a great point. I mean it's one thing when you're in control of the pace and you're saying head
17:51It's you're burning less juice rosquero versus Romero Romero wasn't able to fight the pace she wanted was Carol wouldn't let her
17:58Yeah
17:59She was forced to fight at a pace. She didn't go come to with even though. She was successful at times
18:03She looked uncomfortable. We don't see that here with the blast
18:13Glenn Johnson Roy Jones, Jr. I know Roy was past his prime but the idea that that Glenn Johnson didn't let Roy rest
18:19He made the explosive fighter fight all the time
18:23We're able to get away out of there. Glenn never let anybody rest. No. Yeah, he was non-stop. Never
18:30Another sharp right hand
18:33Also guessing those jabs that's what kept the nose bleeding of about Saint
18:43About Saint look he's standing his ground more this round. He's trying to fight more in the pocket
18:49He's gonna give more opportunities to Roscoe, but he's looking to do damage
18:55Remember blast valve saying a young fighter ego still so much of a factor Chris that believes I'm gonna beat you everywhere we fight
19:07I think it's a smart strategic adjustment though because you got a guy
19:10You're on the outside you're hitting with these big shots
19:13But if you want to get him out of there if you want to do more damage than you have been doing you're gonna stay in the pocket a little bit
19:17Look for it'll make those openings of show themselves
19:23Good luck and their body there from at all school
19:37Really dark in the body

27:27he's trying to do his best to make it uncomfortable,
27:29but Valsain is just too good.
27:31You're wondering about the condition of Valsain.
27:34So far, looking
27:35good. A couple rounds left to go.
27:49Welcome back. Round number
28:16eight. About to begin.
28:18Three rounds left in this ten-rounder.
28:21Last foul, same from that
28:22southpaw stance.
28:23Looking absolutely incredible, gentlemen.
28:25That was a pretty shot. Straight left hand, got his head off line
28:28and then slid out to the weak side.
28:30Really, really pretty shot there.
28:39And also, Blast
28:40full of confidence whenever we talked to him
28:41in the weeks leading up
28:44to this fight. Very confident. But he knew he had a Mexican
28:46fighter with a lot of physical talent
28:48in front of him. You know, he's conditioned
28:50for a long fight. He never talked about
28:52I'm going to blow this guy out early.
28:53No, no, he did not. He knew he had a really tough guy
28:56in front of him. And, you know,
28:58it's kind of similar. It's just kind of like the
28:59Angel Ruiz fight times two. He gets to do it
29:02again. Show his skill set with a guy
29:04in front of him who's going to be terrible. He's going to be a test.
29:06You know, Blast's one of those guys. I'm actually happy
29:12to see him go rounds because we can see
29:13everything on display. We get to
29:16see how much he's got in that bag
29:18of his.
29:22Those go definitely
29:24less active in this round number eight.
29:26Yeah, this is one of those fights where it's going to
29:28come in handy to get these rounds.
29:30Again, it's, like
29:32I said last round, you got a guy who's stubborn.
29:33He's not going to go anywhere. Okay, you know,
29:36you yourself, how do you work
29:38on that? Okay, you work on it by saying
29:39hey, I'm going to show you I'm
29:42better than you. You want to take it all night? You're more than
29:44welcome to take it all night. And that's what
29:45Blast's approach has been here. He's not really
29:47come undone as far as, you know, losing
29:50his mind with this guy who's pressuring him
29:52and he doesn't know how to make him stop pressuring. As some prospects
29:54tend to do. You know, you see some prospects who are mentally
29:55not that strong. Good shots here.
29:58Some prospects are mentally not that strong.
30:00Even if they're better, you start to see them
30:01sort of come undone. Good shot again.
30:03Orozco taking those shots
30:05well. I was going to say
30:07I'm sitting in the corner here.
30:09I'm in Orozco's corner. We are in Orozco's
30:11corner. And I'm able to see what's going
30:13on in there. I'm looking at him. It was the first time I saw him
30:15look really
30:16like disengaged
30:19in the corner.
30:23Deep breaths.
30:23Kind of his head down the whole time.
30:25Not great body language.
30:27Hasn't shown that during the rounds, but
30:29I did notice it last round in the corner.
30:31Yeah, he's a pro, man.
30:32He's, you know, he knows how to go
30:34to distance. He's got to do his job, but
30:36just lacking the talent of Alcain.
30:38Yeah.
30:39No, I mean, he's been fighting since...
30:41Oh! Beautiful body shot!
30:43Oh, I finally did her as well.
30:44Soloplex's shot.
30:48Blast foul saying, is he going to turn it on?
30:51Look for the stoppage here.
30:53Under a minute left to go in round eight.
30:55Yeah, I'd mention early on going to the body
30:57would be smart when you got a guy like
30:59Orozco who's shown a good chin
31:01and been very durable.
31:03Orozco's incredible.
31:04Finally a body shot hurt him.
31:05He did a lot of good body shots.
31:07I mean, that all of them were hurting him.
31:08He finally got hurt with a body shot.
31:09There's that solo puck shot right up the middle.
31:16It's like that shot just froze Orozco.
31:19Yeah, I'd mention that when he was
31:20disenchanted in between rounds.
31:22I was like, can't hit with a body shot.
31:23It's not going to help.
31:25It's like it'll help Brayden feel like
31:26you should belong in the fight still.
31:33Oh, man.
31:36Oh, another beautiful shot
31:39end of the round.
31:48His face,
31:49a mask of pain
31:50in the corner.
31:51He's hurting.
31:52Orozco looked like he was going to throw up.
31:54He doesn't even want to sit down.
31:54He didn't want to sit down in the corner.
31:56He wanted to get as much hair as he could.
31:57He's really uncomfortable there.
31:59But also,
31:59the corner's got to take a look.
32:01He's taking some big shots to the head.
32:05I mean,
32:06just look at this beautiful shot.
32:07I think it's actually a knockdown, right?
32:12No, this is not the body shot.
32:14That was not the body shot.
32:14You see him specifically
32:16bring his elbow down
32:19and crouch over when he gets in
32:20with the body shot.
32:21And I said that in a fight earlier.
32:23You don't choose to do that.
32:24Your body forces you to do that.
32:26You choose to fight it.
32:28Yeah, that wasn't the shot.
32:30We could have a broken rib here.
32:31He's still hurt.
32:33He's having trouble getting in air.
32:35Broken rib, Chris?
32:36It's hard to say,
32:37but no,
32:38it looks like it's over.
32:39That's it.
32:39This is a really professional performance
32:43by Dorel Vossain.
32:44Outstanding.
32:45All questions about him.
32:46Guys,
32:46because he never tried to get the stoppage.
32:48He never tried to get the stoppage.
32:51The way he would get finding the stoppage
32:52looks like a broken rib
32:53or a busted rib.
32:54We'll find out.
32:55Obviously,
32:55the body shot caused the stoppage.
32:56But either way,
32:57Dorel Vossain
32:58almost was like
33:00saying to himself,
33:01all right,
33:02I'm not going to try to get some stoppage tonight.
33:03You know,
33:03I don't know.
33:04I'm not going to...
33:05He never really went to that fifth gear
33:07to try to get the stoppage.
33:08He just boxed his fight the whole time,
33:10picked his shot,
33:12terrific shot selection,
33:14and little by little,
33:15you got the result you wanted
33:16and you get the stoppage in the end.
33:17So,
33:18all together,
33:18a very,
33:19very professional performance
33:20by Dorel Vossain.
33:22Gentlemen,
33:22we've watched a lot of boxing ourselves.
33:24We've seen shots and...
33:26body shots and fights.
33:27How many times have you seen
33:28a corner stoppage from a body shot?
33:31That's very rare.
33:31I mean,
33:32you just could not get it.
33:33Maybe the way they bust their rib.
33:34Yeah.
33:35Yeah.
33:35That's not a liver shot
33:36that makes you stoppage.
33:38of the fight in the corner.
33:39That would just take the fight out of you.
33:40Well,
33:40Roscoe's not the kind of guy
33:41that gets the fight taken out of him.
33:42He's still...
33:43That's a busted rib.
33:44It's been over a minute and a half
33:46since that punch happened.
33:47He's still in a tremendous amount of pain.
33:49That's got to be a broken rib.
33:50Virgil Hill,
33:51Roy Jones Jr.,
33:52famous broken rib shot.
33:54That was in the middle of the round.
33:55They do a knockdown
33:56and knockout.
33:57But a corner stoppage
33:59from body shots.
34:00Guys,
34:00can I bring up a point here?
34:02Please.
34:02That was Val Saint's
34:0413th pro fight.
34:06Looking that damn good.
34:08Conor Ben was his
34:0821st,
34:0922nd pro fight
34:10when he plucked this guy.
34:11Couldn't get him out of there.
34:13This is not an easy
34:14guy to get out of here.
34:15No.
34:15I didn't expect that.
34:16I didn't expect him to get stopped.
34:17At a certain point,
34:18I was thinking,
34:19Val Saint's just impressing me
34:20just by the fact that
34:20he's keeping his wits
34:22about him
34:22and staying smart
34:23the whole time.
34:23I was already impressed with that.
34:25But to get the stoppage
34:25in this way,
34:26that's...
34:27He did a really hard fight.
34:29Look...
34:29I hate saying it.
34:30Look easy.
34:30Yeah.
34:32Toughest opponent
34:33of his career.
34:34He has passed that test
34:36with flying colors.
34:40Haitian-American
34:41in his native Florida
34:42looking absolutely fantastic.
34:47Wow.
34:49You see why the ceiling
34:51is so high for this kid?
34:53Looks like sky's the limit.
34:57154 might have its dark horse
35:00now, gentlemen.
35:02I've been saying that.
35:03I knew this kid had the goods
35:05as soon as I saw him.
35:07Chris liked him
35:08before it was cool.
35:09Yep.
35:10When Lupe Comperes
35:11is going to make it official.
35:14Beautiful job
35:14from Blast Val Saint.
