Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky speaks to reporters outside the White House.
Transcript
00:00We were coordinating how to work on security guarantees and the President of the US contacted the Russian side and they spoke about the possible diplomatic steps.
00:21Russia at first proposed a bilateral meeting between Ukraine and Russia, followed by a trilateral meeting.
00:31As I said, we are ready for any combat at the level of leaders, because it is only at the level of leaders that we can resolve all those complex and painful issues.
00:41Even for us, they are painful and complex. And so I was supported by all the European leaders and I confirmed that we are ready for a bilateral meeting with Putin.
00:56And after that, we are counting on a trilateral one, depending on how the bilateral meeting goes.
01:02So, in principle, that is the result. I believe it is a good one. It is a good result. It's normal. Thank you.
