Transcript
00:00given to us many, many points were given to us, great points.
00:03Please, Georgia, go ahead.
00:06Well, thank you very much, Donald, Mr. President, for hosting us today in this important meeting.
00:11And I think it is an important day, a new phase, after three years and a half,
00:17that we didn't see any kind of sign from the Russian side that there was a willing for dialogue.
00:24So something is changing, something has changed, thanks to you.
00:28Thanks also to the stalling in the battlefield, which was achieved with the bravery of Ukrainians
00:36and with the unity that we all provided to Ukraine.
00:41And the reason why I mention it is that we also have to remind that if we want to reach peace
00:47and if we want to guarantee justice, we have to do it united.
00:52So that's why it's a very good day, the one we are in.
00:58You can obviously count on Italy as it was from the beginning.
01:02We are on the side of Ukraine, and we do absolutely support your efforts towards peace.
01:09We will talk about many important topics.
01:15The first one is security guarantees, how to be sure that it won't happen again,
01:20which is the precondition of every kind of peace.
01:23I'm happy that we will discuss about that.
01:26I'm happy that we will begin from a proposal, which is the, let's say, Article 5 model,
01:32which was Italian at the beginning.
01:36So we are always ready to bring our proposals for peace, for dialogue.
01:41It's something we have to build together to guarantee peace
01:46and to defend the security of our nation.
01:47So thank you, Mr. President, for hosting us.
01:50Thank you very much.
01:51Emmanuel.
