Liam and Nathan hope for more competition among Wolves players this season, as well as more ruthlessness from the club. The Wolves players potentially vying for starting position
00:00I think maybe an issue for previous seasons is that Nelson Semedo and Ryan Noe had no competition, really, did they?
00:06They were starting every – if they were fit, they were starting every single week.
00:10So maybe with Tatua coming in, with Wolfe and Bueno on that left-hand side, you know, Rodrigo Gomez, of course, can play on either side as well.
00:18There is maybe more of a competition this season where you've got two to three players who will be vying for a starting position every single week.
00:25And maybe they will push each other and Wolfe will benefit from it.
00:29Yeah, which I would like to think is going to be the case.
00:32I mean, we'll come on to it a little bit later in the show.
00:35There may be some movement, obviously, on that left side with one of those individuals potentially.
00:39I hope there isn't, but there is a potential for that.
00:42But I would like that because this – you know, Wolves too often in seasons have allowed that competition to be eroded by allowing players to move on.
00:51Sometimes you've got to be a little bit ruthless and say, no, we need the help, we need the backup, we need the players here.
00:56And you keep certain players with the squad to ensure that Vito Pereira has adequate depth going forward.
01:02I think the options that Wolves have got, they've got different styles, different kind of players and different options at both sides now,
01:09which hopefully will prove a benefit moving forward.
01:13Allowing any of them to leave now, it means potentially you're slightly short again.
01:17And having just completed those positions, I don't want Wolves to go back to a position where they are desperately crying out for signing.
