Zero points in four games! Wolves are off to a poor start this season. Liam and Nathan return to talk about what went wrong against Newcastle and how the boys in black and gold can find their form in time for Leeds.
Transcript
00:00Liam, played four, lost four, points zero.
00:03Not a great start.
00:05Yeah, that's the show done.
00:07Top done.
00:07I'll see you all next week.
00:08Nothing else to talk about.
00:09Yeah, look, as is for Wolves.
00:11I mean, you have a very good,
00:14or at least by the standards of the rest of the game so far this season,
00:16very good 20 minutes, 25 minutes or so from Wolves.
00:19Created a lot of good chances.
00:21Could have taken the lead.
00:22Should have taken the lead, really,
00:23with some of the opportunities they had.
00:25Were not clinical enough.
00:26Allowed Newcastle, as they will do with the quality they have
00:29and that atmosphere at home stadium and home advantage,
00:31had allowed them a way back into the game
00:33and conceded a really poor goal.
00:35And from there, Wolves really knocked the door down
00:38to get back into the game.
00:40Vitor was proud and pleased with his players after the game.
00:44There's some reasons I could understand,
00:46but at the same time, he needs a lot more as well.
00:49And he needs to do a lot more going into a few massive games coming up.
00:54Yeah, he can be pleased with how they apply themselves,
00:58the character, the determination.
01:01But at the end of the day,
01:02he and his team are going to be judged on points.
01:05And that is the most important thing.
01:07And I think that there are certain caveats
01:11of why Wolves have started slowly.
01:13And I can understand that.
01:14However, the excuses,
01:16I'm not saying excuses, maybe that's harsh,
01:18but those explanations will stop on Saturday
01:22when it's Wolverhampton Wanderers against Leeds United.
01:24Because if they don't pick up points slash points,
01:28then it's going to be a rocky ride for this team,
01:32this supporter base,
01:33and Vitor Pereira ultimately, unfortunately.
01:36Because at the end of the day,
01:38no matter what you think of Foson,
01:39the book stops with the head coach.
01:41And this is a huge week for this football club,
01:44a huge week for this coaching staff,
01:45and a huge week for this squad of players.
