00:00Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Jose Sarr has described his current season as the most
00:06mentally challenging of his career with Wolves continuing to struggle in the Premier League.
00:14The Portuguese goalkeeper, now in his fifth season at Molyneux Stadium after joining from
00:20Olympiacos in 2021, has experienced both highs and lows during his time in England after being
00:28named Wolves Player of the Season in his debut campaign. Sarr established himself as a first
00:35choice goalkeeper and one of the best in the Premier League. Sam Johnston joined in 2024 and
00:42the two have since competed for the starting role, with Sarr regaining his place this season.
00:47However, a difficult start to the campaign saw him temporarily dropped between September and
00:54December. His return to the side coincided with an improvement in results when Rob Edwards joined
01:02and overall performances have remained inconsistent. Jose Sarr has said that this season has been
01:08tough for everyone at the club, particularly from a psychological perspective. He indicated
01:15that poor results made it harder to support teammates and maintain consistency, while emphasising
01:21the importance of continuing to fight and collect as many points as possible.
