TOURISTS GREETED BY PINK-FOOTED PIGS ON GREEK ISLAND
WITH PIX AND VID
By Shuk Yee Tsang
Tourists arriving on a remote island were greeted by adorable pigs with striking pink feet.
Kamilla Pellei, 18, from Hungary, captured the moment during a summer trip to Atokos, better known as Piggy Island, near Lefkada, Greece.
As Kamilla’s boat pulled up, pigs began emerging from the trees and wandering onto the shoreline, eagerly approaching the visitors.
Seeing the pigs on the beach for the first time was a dream come true for Kamilla, as she vowed to visit after seeing online videos months earlier.
The bargain excursion cost her family just €45 per person, including food and a drink.
Although some viewers joked about the pigs' unusual appearance, most found them utterly adorable.
Kamilla said: “When I stepped off the boat, I felt like I was dreaming.
“If I hadn’t taken any videos, I wouldn’t have remembered every detail later.
“I also wanted to share this breathtaking place with the world.
“It was my first time, but hopefully not the last.
“Some people make fun of them, but most people find them adorable.”
