AT&T May Pay Up to $7500 to Users in Data Breach Settlement

AT&T has reached a $177 million class-action settlement to resolve two major data breaches that occurred in March and July 2024.

00:13The deal sets aside $149 million for the March breach and $28 million for July.

00:19Affected customers can claim up to $5,000 for the first breach, $2,500 for the second,

00:25or $7,500 total if hit by both.

00:28Claims opened August 4th and close on the 18th of November with final approval on December 3rd.

00:36AT&T denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid long litigation.
