Starship Troopers: Extermination – The “Critical Strike” patch takes the fight against the bugs to a whole new level! New bugs, new weapons, and new threats that no trooper has ever encountered before.

The battle for humanity's survival continues unabated – and so does the work of the developers at Offworld.

In collaboration with publisher Knights Peak, they are expanding the scope of the conflict in Starship Troopers: Extermination.

The “Critical Strike” patch for game version 1.6 has been released and marks an important step forward in the fight against the Arachnid threat. Starship Troopers: Extermination now offers a new, revamped bug spawn system, new equipment, the new Critical Strike game mode, and much more!

With Update 1.6, Starship Troopers: Extermination introduces a brand new game mode: “Critical Strike.” This is the first new mode added to the game since the release of version 1.0 in October 2024.

Scans by the Federation have discovered large deposits of Archigeon deep underground after meteorites struck remote areas on Valaka and Agni Prime.

Only the best of the best are tasked with venturing directly into insect territory to recover it. Separated from the other squads, the troopers make their way through these unexplored areas, fighting their way through swarms of insects to capture the archigeon for the Federation!

Four squads. Four separate drop zones. One mission: reach the meteorite site, regroup, and rearm. The Troopers must remain vigilant—this zone is teeming with the largest insects the Arachnids have to offer, and they attack with full force.

Starship Troopers: Extermination is inspired by the movie Starship Troopers. In this action-packed co-op first-person shooter, players join the Deep Space Vanguard to fight relentlessly against hordes of arachnids on enemy planets.

Developed by Offworld, the game was released in Early Access on May 17, 2023, and was released as version 1.0 on October 11, 2024, for PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Offworld Store, as well as for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
