00:00When he shook hands with Putin, it was a normal handshake.
00:09He was not trying to do any overt power plays.
00:12So when we saw them meet on the tarmac, there was a real, genuine warmth.
00:16They looked like they were actually almost like friends.
00:19And one thing that I noticed he didn't do, so they were both sitting there doing positions of power.
00:24They were basically telling everybody in the room that we're in charge, right?
00:27His energy was down. He seemed, in my opinion, disappointed.
00:30He would do his teeth like that.
00:32Sometimes he does that when he gets frustrated or angry.
00:34So I don't think that it went exactly as he wanted.
00:37I think he was very deflated. That's what I saw at the end.
00:39Either that or just very tired.
00:41But to me, it looked like he was a bit deflated.
00:42So when we saw them meet on the tarmac, there was a real, genuine warmth between them.
00:59It looked like they really wanted to get along.
01:00You saw really genuine smiles.
01:02You saw President Trump staying very open.
01:04You saw when President Putin addressed him, he reached his hand out.
01:07They looked like they were actually almost like friends.
01:10So it looked like there was a real, genuine desire to connect and to get along.
01:15When we're trying to build rapport with somebody, physical touch is such a common way to do it.
01:18And President Trump does that a lot.
01:20And he doesn't do it to everybody, but he does it to people he likes.
01:23And one thing that I noticed he didn't do, and he's notorious for doing this,
01:26is that when he shook hands with Putin, it was a normal handshake, which may sound obvious.
01:31Why wouldn't he have a normal handshake?
01:33Because President Trump has a tendency to pull people towards him.
01:35It's a power play.
01:36He does that all the time.
01:37I've seen him do it with world leaders.
01:38He does this constantly.
01:39He did not do it today.
01:41And I thought that showed that he was not trying to do any overt power plays, at least at that moment.
01:45Well, both of them shared the same body language at that point.
01:48They both had their legs open.
01:49They both were doing what we call steepling, where you kind of do this.
01:52When you're an expert, sort of when you're the head honcho, the CEO, they tend to do that.
01:57And they were both doing that below their legs.
01:59So they were both sitting there doing positions of power.
02:02It didn't seem like they were conflicting with each other in that way,
02:04but they both were actively doing hand signs and sitting in positions that they were basically telling everybody in the room that we're in charge right now.
02:14When President Putin was speaking, Trump was very, he doesn't, he has a hard time sitting still.
02:20He doesn't do well when other people are talking for long periods of time.
02:22So he really was getting antsy.
02:24He would look over at him.
02:25Like he still was trying to connect in that sense, but he does get sort of impatient because I think he likes to talk and he's not the biggest fan of listening.
02:33That's where things got very interesting to me.
02:35So with President Putin, he was just giving a prepared speech.
02:39You didn't really see much actual emotion from him.
02:41He's just speaking and orating like anybody would in a situation like that.
02:46President Trump, however, was a little bit different.
02:47He seemed, based on what I could see, he seemed frustrated.
02:52His energy was down.
02:53He seemed, in my opinion, disappointed.
02:55He would do his teeth like that.
02:57Sometimes he does that when he gets frustrated or angry.
02:59So I don't think that it went exactly as he wanted based on his body language.
03:03The energy was so different.
03:04He was so excited to see Putin.
03:07He was really open and energetic.
03:10I just don't think he got what he wanted because you just saw him seem a lot more tame.
03:14He was less emphatic.
03:15He obviously, if you've ever watched President Trump talk, he talks with his hands all the time.
03:18He does a lot of this expressive stuff.
03:20You weren't really seeing much of that.
03:21And so I think he was very deflated.
03:24That's what I saw at the end.
03:25Either that or just very tired.
03:26But to me, it looked like he was a bit deflated.
