John, can we just start with your thoughts on the result and performance today?
00:04
I thought the other were very good actually, I thought we were right at it, ready to start
00:07
and it was kind of relentless for the 92 minutes.
00:14
We did well, we stuck at it for so long, 25 minutes.
00:19
We always know you guys are trying to go over the first 10 minutes here
00:22
because they come out with such a tempo that it's sometimes very difficult to match it.
00:29
But we did, we managed to get over the initial opening period
00:33
which both teams coming here are going to try and do.
00:38
From our point of view, it's the second phase knock on the kick, the ball comes out,
00:42
we should get more pressure on the ball.
00:44
I sort of think he bought it back here, I had it back across
00:47
so we've got a couple of opportunities to do something about it before the ball is back in there.
00:52
We got a good response actually, Cameron Miller was a really, really good striker.
00:56
So Salah's had a good save and it's had a good save for Kiba.
01:01
So we've kind of like kept ourselves in it up to half time.
01:05
Second and third goal come from losing possession, deeper than half
01:09
who are actually in possession and so that would be disappointing.
01:13
And another goal came from Conor, kind of ahead.
01:19
I was talking about the goals there, maybe they'll be exactly in the right order.
01:24
But kind of like cheap goals, but it's certainly deserved to win by that margin.
01:28
Of course I did, but it might make pressure on the other one as the amount of Conors
01:30
and the amount of attempts, which I don't actually have.
01:34
I'm watching a game that would say that was high.
01:38
So we didn't have any complaints about that.
01:40
We were kind of like a lot of makers of what I'm doing for.
01:43
But as I say, I thought Celtic weren't very, very good.
01:46
And yeah, we'll need to learn from it.
01:50
Which we surely will.
01:53
But, you know, you're spending like millions of pounds building a team like that.
02:00
And I know Celtic fans are still wanting more signings, but
02:04
didn't look more strong than that team at night to me.
02:07
Is that just like a harsh reminder of the gap in quality between
02:10
maybe the teams at the top end of the Premiership and those a little bit further down?
02:15
Yeah, of course. Of course, yeah.
02:17
I mean, we just knew that other teams have found maybe ways to be
02:20
make themselves a little bit more difficult to beat.
02:24
We might need to try and do that as well.
02:28
But yeah, we'll not be alone in that situation.
02:31
You know, I came here many times with other teams and it's very much the same story type thing.
02:38
We're not alone.
02:39
And we'll not be the first this year.
02:41
We'll not be the last.
02:42
We've managed to score a goal against Celtic,
02:44
which up to now no one else have done.
02:46
So there's something positive from it.
02:50
Yeah.
02:51
You almost had your four chances in the first half.
02:53
I mean, if you're playing that way, you're timing chances,
02:57
you'll get the reward for it at some point.
02:59
Yeah.
03:00
Yeah.
03:01
Maybe another night against Celtic,
03:02
but if we continue to create chances in other games against other teams,
03:05
then we'd hopefully take some points in these games that we've got coming up
03:10
after having a little bit of a two-week break with Hibs,
03:12
where Hibs game being postponed.
03:14
Yeah.
03:15
Yeah.
03:16
Yeah.
03:17
Yeah.
03:18
They're positive to take.
03:19
Yeah.
03:20
I think the type of team will always create chances.
03:21
Yeah.
03:22
He must be pleased with Ross McKeever.
03:23
He obviously didn't get a goal tonight,
03:24
but he's had some real form since he's come into the team.
03:25
He did better.
03:26
Yeah.
03:27
He's been doing well actually.
03:28
I thought he was excellent tonight.
03:29
Yeah.
03:30
He won nearly every header he went for.
03:31
Yeah.
03:32
He was pleased with that.
03:33
For Ross, I mean, I thought, as low as he's scored goals, I thought Scott Bain was terrific tonight.
03:47
I thought it was excellent.
03:49
Keelan Adams got a goal.
03:54
What a learning curve for that lad.
03:56
15 months ago he was playing for a couple of Cokes and tonight he's playing against, you know,
04:00
working with the best player in Scotland and he'll learn so much from that.
04:04
And he goes off.
04:06
I don't know what the time he's worth.
04:07
I was going to say it was roughly 18 minutes.
04:09
And then the lad that comes on is every bit as quick, every bit as sharp and causing him,
04:14
you know, little issues, you know, just by late in the game, tiredness and that.
04:19
So again, what a learning curve for him.
04:23
Yeah.
04:24
Just finally from me, Conor Allen as well, obviously he brought him on.
04:27
That was a big, big confidence for him.
04:28
I'd imagine he threw him on at Celtic Park as your first and two substitutes.
04:32
He's a player that is certainly an option for you in the Premiership.
04:34
He's versatility.
04:35
Yeah.
04:36
He's very versatile.
04:37
Yeah.
04:38
He's played at centre back as well.
04:39
He's going in there.
04:40
Obviously Henry, Henry did fine.
04:42
He was a big step up for Henry as well.
04:45
Coming from Monday 21 football at Leicester, you know, we're brave enough going for him.
04:49
I mean, what would you know?
04:50
Yeah.
04:51
That was solid with the team.
04:52
Like, centre back field players in there, those things up a little bit.
04:56
Yeah.
04:57
Yeah.
04:58
Yeah.
04:59
Yeah.
05:00
Yeah.
05:01
Yeah.
05:02
Please.
05:03
Yeah.
05:04
These guys are going to benefit from this.
05:06
You know, they've not been playing at their level.
05:08
So they can only benefit.
05:09
Yeah.
05:10
Sometimes a little bit harsh and a little bit painful, but you look at a bigger picture.
05:14
Gain the experience.
05:15
Have a look at the standard that Celtics are.
05:17
You know, when you get what you pay for, you pay millions and you pay 10, 20, 30 grand
05:24
a week, then, you know, we're in the same situation as all the other teams.
05:29
And we'll be the only ones who come here and get me, like, forward.
