JP and BMitch react to Kliff Kingsbury's comments from earlier today.
Transcript
00:00Cliff Kingsbury talking about Terry McLaurin's absence in Commander's training camp.
00:06Hey Cliff, going back to Terry real quick, you talk about, you know,
00:10gelling with the offense on the grass.
00:11How much work are you getting with him in the classroom
00:13and kind of at this point of the season, how high value is that, is the meeting work?
00:19Yeah, I think, you know, not as much as we would if he was full go, there's no doubt.
00:24But I think, like I said, I'm huge on walkthroughs, on practice, things like that,
00:29because until you get on the grass and actually do it and feel the timing,
00:31feel the depths, the routes, and things of that nature,
00:34I don't know exactly how much you can get out of that.
00:37So I think we're kind of at that point to where we need to start getting those guys
00:40when they're available out there and gelling and seeing what we are as an offense.
00:47I think that nothing he said is inaccurate.
00:50He didn't say anything inaccurate.
00:52Basically what he's saying is you've got to practice football to play football, right?
00:55Sounds like somebody I know.
00:56I've been saying that forever.
00:57I mean, listen, man, there are coaches who have to play the political game.
01:04There's others who don't.
01:06And the head coach is close to it.
01:09They work directly with the GM.
01:11He probably wouldn't say it as straightforward because he said it earlier this year.
01:17But Cliff is like, yes, you asked me a question.
01:20He asked the question that was asked.
01:22You know, would you like him here?
01:24Yes.
01:25Are you getting enough work with him?
01:26No, not as much as I would if he was here consistently.
01:28Right.
01:28You know.
