For this purpose, a convoy with the Holy Quran, Syed Zat and 7 daughters was sent to the affected parties as a symbol of traditional and religious respect. This move was an attempt to attract both the groups towards peace and brotherhood. On the arrival of the convoy, one side agreed to peace, while the other side asked for five days’ respite for consultation.  Local elders and leaders are expressing hope that this historic and traditional effort will be a means of restoring peace and tranquility in the region, so that the cycle of bloodshed and hostility can end and brotherhood can be established.
