00:00One of my colleagues was asking how do you add drop-down menu on Google Sheet?
00:04This is how you do it. You select all the cells that you want to add the drop-down to
00:07and after that go data, data validation and in here there's a window that pops
00:13up or the side menu that pops out called data validation rules. Click on add rules
00:17and make sure your criteria is selected on drop-down and then enter all the
00:23selection that you want the drop-down menu to have. I'm going to say math,
00:29science and if you need more items on your drop-down click on add another item
00:34here and I'm going to type English here. These are the selections.
00:37You can assign colors to each selection as well by
00:40clicking here. Math I'm going to say pink, science will be
00:44yellow, English maybe green and then after that click on done.
00:48And now you can look at your worksheet. You have a drop-down for each individual
00:52cell that you have assigned. If you'd like to add a drop-down for
00:58single cell, that's another way to do it. You're going to say
01:01ampersand and then you type drop-down with the S.
01:06You can select the drop-downs from the context menu here
01:09and then now you go to the far right menu again.
01:12You can change whatever you want in here for your selection.
01:16Maybe I'm going to say ABC. I'm going to call it test.
01:20Add another item maybe something else and then you can go ahead and assign
01:28the color if you like. I'm just going to leave it like that
01:30and click on done and now if you go back to your cell where you assign
01:34the drop-down to you can actually make selection accordingly.
