00:16It might seem odd but for the new landlord of the Three Crutches he believes this is the new era
00:21of pubs.
00:22Let's take a look.
00:26He was thought to be Kent's youngest publican when he took on the black horse in Bean at just 20.
00:33Now three years later Kyle Blair is ready to say cheers to his next project.
00:39It was a pub that my partner always knew all her life and when we stepped out of our previous
00:44pub we wanted a new adventure and being food led that's where we wanted to go.
00:48So we've put in two great chefs, we've injected a great team into the pub and we're able to open
00:54both sides of the pub, one being the top bar, one being the bottom and the gardens all tidied up
00:58now for the summer.
00:59So we're able to cater for more and have more people in and keep the flow flowing.
01:04Going from an exclusively drinks venue to now balancing both new food and drinks menus will certainly pose its challenges.
01:13But maybe not as big of a challenge as running a bar stocked with beverages he can't drink.
01:19But Kyle insists that being both 23 and tea total marks a new style of pub tailored towards the younger
01:26generation.
01:27The younger generation nowadays don't actually drink.
01:31There was a stat that said more people on New Year's Eve were at the gym than in the pub.
01:36But I think it's understanding the new age, the new culture, what people want.
01:40We don't show Sky, we don't need Sky but can we offer something else?
01:45Redecoration of the venue is well underway with Kyle set to add a new outdoors bar in the expansive beer

01:52Despite only taking the reins less than a fortnight ago.
