00:00Hey, it's Radar with Nova Gescheidmeyer from Precision Healing and Wellness here in Brookfield,
00:11right on the corner of Calhoun and Greenfield. If you have back pain, apparently your ear
00:16is a treatment area. Is that right, Nova? Definitely it is. So in traditional Chinese
00:22medicine, you can treat the entire body from the ear. So if you were walking in with back pain,
00:27we would do a full acupuncture treatment, maybe a needle in the ear, but to send you home with an
00:33ear seed. An ear seed. Are we growing things in our ears? What do we do? I hope not right now, but it is
00:39a take-home acupressure point that actually is sustained in the ear. It looks like a little
00:45tiny band-aid on your ear. And explain the ear seed. So an ear seed is an inert seed, almost like a mustard
00:51seed with a little bit of a band-aid backing. And if we look, we can see that we have hips
00:57and lumbar, which is your low back. And we can send you home with some ear seeds in that area
01:03until your next visit. Are these areas in the ear on both ears or does it kind of switch for
01:09whichever ear you're putting the ear seeds on? We can treat either one at either time. How long
01:15does the session last between acupuncture and applying the ear seeds? So applying the ear seeds
01:20is a pretty nominal time, but they will stay on a day to three days, maybe even five days.
01:27So it is a nice take-home to remind yourself that we are treating the back. And it is going to try and
01:32help that acupuncture treatment last a little bit longer. It's a little bit of homework because Nova
01:37can't go home with you. So you have some homework to make sure that you feel a lot better. And how can
01:43someone make an appointment for acupuncture and the ear seeds? So our office is located on the corner
01:48of Greenfield and Calhoun. So you can always stop in, give our office a call, or go to our website
01:53at precisionhealing.org.
