00:01As long as it's outside my house, it's not my problem, right?
00:04Another day, another viral reel of a foreigner calling out India's splendidness problem.
00:08Start cleaning it on your own.
00:10I am very happy to stop this campaign.
00:13This time it's a Serbian man cleaning India's streets.
00:15But why is a foreigner doing this in India?
00:17And why not in his own country?
00:19What is the first word that comes to your mind when you say India?
00:2299% of the people say dirty.
00:25What is the first word that comes to your mind when you say Serbia?
00:32They say war.
00:33No country in the world is perfect.
00:35But we need to focus on what is the main issue.
00:37Video after video, Lazar was seen sweeping, collecting garbage,
00:40and talking to locals about attitudes towards litter.
00:43He was also accompanied by others while doing so.
00:45Social media is buzzing with admiration, curiosity, and yes, questions.
00:49One day, one day.
00:51It starts from today.
00:53Critics say that India-centric content usually gets more views,
00:56thanks to our massive population.
00:58Maybe it's the shock factor, maybe something else.
01:00So when we see a foreigner in India, cleaning or criticizing,
01:03we can't help but question the intention.
01:05I've been living in India for so many years.
01:08In a way, this has become my second home.
01:10Lazar's journey in India began in 2018,
01:12with a modeling contract leading to six years in Bengaluru
01:15before he relocated to Kurgaon in 2024.
01:17I was just sick and tired of seeing people drive big Jeeps,
01:21live in very nice houses, and keep so much trash outside.
01:26Like, thinking that it's not their problem.
01:28He calls this initiative his seven-day challenge,
01:30promising to clean one street a day until 15th August.
01:33It's part of his regular clean-up effort, which he says he has been doing since 2024.
01:37But there are countless cleaning drives across India where people clean without posting.
01:41So why record and share it?
01:42Even though I did so many clean-ups, the next day I come, like, it's the same thing.
01:46Only thing that I'm doing differently right now is taking videos and posting it online properly.
01:52But when the campaign ends and the cameras stop rolling,
01:54will the streets stay clean?
01:56Tell us what you think.
