00:00This is MP Pappu Yadav distributing cash to people affected by the floods in Bihar.

00:05Do minute ke liye rog dije sir,
00:07but neither the car stops for the people with folded hands,
00:09nor for the children who barely manage to peep into the car.
00:16Talking about their dignity might seem like a tall ask,
00:18when one can only thank fate,
00:20a simple stumble could have landed them under the independent Purnia MP's wheels.
00:24Pappu Yadav, cash in hand, his car and a crowd are a familiar sight.
00:27Recently, when a journalist questioned him about a local concern,
00:31he casually slipped a note into his hand.
00:33An apparent bribe that changed the narrative of his question.
00:41While this incident from August 10th didn't count as a crime,
00:44his name has popped up in quite a few of them.
00:46In 1998, Yadav was accused of murdering CPIMMLC Ajit Sarkar
00:50and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
00:52But in 2013, he was acquitted in the case.
