00:40The country will hold a referendum on August 23rd, asking voters if they support restarting the Ma'an Shan nuclear power plant in the south.
00:48During the debate, Huang's opponent argued that doing so would come with huge safety risks as the surrounding area is seismically active.
00:55The referendum will be held alongside recall votes for seven opposition Kuomintang lawmakers.
