00:00As the Reverend just told you, we got a few problems in this country.
00:05But as he also told you, if we stand together and do not allow Trump and his minions to divide us up
00:15based on the color of our skin or where we were born or our sexual orientation or our religion,
00:23if we stand together, we can defeat oligarchy, we can defeat authoritarianism,
00:31and we can create a nation and a government that works for all.
00:43And we've got a lot of work to do.
00:46Because today in America, we are living in a nation in which in many respects we have become an oligarchic society
00:57where our country is being run by a handful of multi-billionaires.
01:07And these people are very religious, but they're not quite the same religion as Reverend Barber.
01:16They worship wealth, and they worship power, and they could care less about how they get what they want.
01:32They are prepared to step on anybody and everybody who gets in their way.
01:38And our job is to tell these oligarchs, enough is enough.
01:45This country belongs to all of us, not just a handful of billionaires.
01:57Today in America, we got more income and wealth inequality than we've ever had.
02:03If you can believe it, you got one guy, Mr. Musk, owns more wealth than the bottom 52% of American households.
02:16Can you believe it?
02:17I mean, it's really hard to imagine that we have evolved into the kind of society
02:22one man owned more wealth than the bottom half of America.
02:26You got the top 1% owning more wealth than the bottom 93%.
02:33You got the CEOs of large corporations making 350 times what their workers make.
02:43And it's not just income and wealth inequality that we have today in terms of oligarchy.
02:48You got more concentration of ownership in sector after sector.
02:53You got a handful of large corporations determining what is being produced,
02:59what you pay, how they treat their workers.
