Josh Papalii says he wants to stay at Canberra in 2026, admitting his previous talk of leaving had come from no longer feeling good enough for the Raiders' NRL side.

00:00when i was speaking to the media back in you know a few months ago i just wasn't in a good place
00:05my footy probably wasn't up to scratch at that that minute and i felt like
00:10you know jerseys you you gotta earn them yeah and i felt like i wasn't earning
00:18my jersey at that time and i felt like i'm earning my jersey at the moment
00:22you know i'm keeping my spot i'm in the team and i'm adding value
00:25um you know i feel like that's um it's best that's best value you can have as it was when
00:34you're contributing to a team not only off the field but uh off the field you know i've
00:40missed a lot of time in the younger players uh you know away from footy and that's just what i
00:45love to do towards the end of last year we'll bring some good footy um then i felt like we just built
00:52off the back of that um obviously into an army camp uh that was tough um and i still just brought
00:58the boys together to be honest and then vegas went to vegas traveled together um we usually travel well
01:04um you know there's a good mix of the the younger boys the older boys and
01:09i feel like um you know the raiders have just got it right this year
