00:00Was Union Minister and MP Suresh Gopi really missing?
00:03Well, that depends on who you ask.
00:05It all started when Kerala Students' Union District President Gokul Guru Vayur
00:08filed a complaint with Thrissur Police in Kerala on August 10.
00:11He claimed the minister hadn't been seen in his constituency since July 26
00:15after two Malayali nuns were arrested in Chhattesgad,
00:18a case Gopi had called fabricated.
00:21Gokul says Gopi has been inaccessible for weeks.
00:23Even Thrissur's Mayor and Revenue Minister K. Rajan, he claims,
00:26couldn't reach him to inaugurate a central government project.
00:29Calls to his office here just went unanswered,
00:31with no one able to say where the MP was or when he'd return.
00:35In the last two months, the MP, who is also a union minister,
00:38has been completely missing from any events in the constituency,
00:41said Gokul Guru Vayur.
00:42The KSU, the Congress Party's student wing,
00:44says both the public and even BJP workers have raised concerns.
00:48They've now announced a poster campaign demanding action to find the minister.
00:52The email complaint, they admit, is a symbolic protest,
00:54but one meant to draw attention to what they call his silence on key issues.
00:58From Chhattisgarh arrest to voter list manipulation allegations.
01:01Suresh Koppi is the only BJP MP from Kerala.
01:04After the complaint made headlines, he posted pictures from parliament,
01:08proof he said he was on official duty.
01:09He even shared details of a meeting with senior officials
01:12from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on the Prime Minister Ujwala Yochna.
01:16So, missing in Thrissur, present in Delhi.
01:18The debate now is less about where Suresh Koppi is,
01:21and more about where people think he should be.
