Nicola Sturgeon has said she stands by calling Nigel Farage “odious” in her forthcoming memoir. The former Scottish First Minister told ITV News he appeared to have a fragile ego and was uncomfortable around women. 00:07Other people might have a different view of him.

00:08He just comes across as somebody who's got a very, very fragile ego,

00:13somebody who's not particularly comfortable, particularly around women.

00:18I mean, you call him odious.

00:19In the 2015 leaders' debate, just before we went on air that night,

00:24I just remember hearing him tell somebody how much he'd had to drink

00:28and the green rooms are beforehand and it just felt this kind of bravado

00:32and just not very pleasant.

00:34But, you know, that's my impression.
