00:00In Palestine, Israeli bombings killed at least 12 civilians over the last hours.
00:15In Ecuador, investigations continue after the death of 18 newborn babies at the University Hospital of Guayaquil.
00:26In the American Republic, the Department of Migration announced the deportation of nearly 1,400 Haitians.
00:42Hello, welcome from the South. I'm Luis Alberto Matos from De Jesús Studios in Havana, Cuba. We begin with the news.
00:49In the last 24 hours, at least 12 Palestinians were killed in Israeli bombings against the Gaza Strip.
01:11Health authorities reported that among the dead, eight died at Al Aouda Hospital, where 27 people were taken with injuries.
01:18Health agencies warned that thousands of people are missing, many of them trapped under the rubble, so the death toll is expected to be higher than estimated.
01:26Since October 7, 2023, more than 61,300 people have been killed by Israel, while 152,850 were wounded.
01:45And in Palestine, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that five deaths from four starvation were recorded in the last 24 hours, including two minors.
01:52This figure brings the total number of deaths to 217 from this cause since the beginning of the genocidal campaign perpetrated by Israel.
02:00According to medical sources, a hundred children have died from hunger and malnutrition in the Gaza Strip since October 2023,
02:06due to the Israeli blockade of humanitarian aid and the worsening livelihoods of the Palestinian population.
02:12Health workers reiterated that the humanitarian crisis would continue in the Palestinian territory until the siege is stopped and full access to food and medical supplies is allowed.
02:28The United Nations Security Council held an emergency meeting to discuss Israel's plan to expand its military occupation of the Gaza Strip.
02:35The UN denounced the actions taken by the Syrian regime and demanded that Tel Aviv take steps to allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.
02:42Several countries around the world condemned the Israeli government's expansionist project, asserting that it violates international law and risks the lives of thousands of Palestinians.
02:51During the international meetings, it was stated that Israel could trigger another conflict with repercussions in the region.
03:02In Chile, citizens gathered in the capital city of Santiago de Chile to demand a ceasefire in Palestine.
03:07The Palestinian community in the country organized the so-called March of Empty Pots to demand an end to the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people.
03:15Protesters also denounced the Zionist regime for using hunger as a weapon of war in the Gaza Strip, claiming the lives of tens of thousands of people.
03:22In turn, the protesters demanded that the government cut all diplomatic ties with the Zionist regime in Tel Aviv.
03:29What we have now is proof of what a far-right government with a Zionist policy does, one that ultimately does not care about destroying a country's image.
03:45And above all, what I find most terrible is the destruction of another country, all under the guise of a democratic regime.
03:51The truth is that when we talk about the weakening of democracy as a system of government, the example of Israel in 2024 and 2025 will be in every history book, and that is a disgrace.
04:04In Argentina, citizens gathered in Plaza de Mayo to protest Israeli genocide in Gaza and denounced the complicity of President Javier Millet's government with the Zionist regime of Israel.
04:13Protesters demanded an end to the genocide in the Strip, where the Israeli army has killed more than 60,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children, using starvation as weapons of war.
04:26The protests also condemned the announcement of the transfer of the Argentine embassy to Jerusalem in 2026, a measure that is illegal under international law.
04:35The protest was replicated in over 20 cities across the country, demonstrating the Argentine people's rejection of the government's complicity in the genocide regime of Israel.
04:49And in Palestine, the al-Nasr ophthalmology hospital has become a bastion of medical resistance in western Gaza.
04:56Every day, surgeons perform more than eight eye operations due to the high number of people injured by Israeli criminal bombings.
05:03Despite the lack of supplies and equipment, medical staff continue their work in coordination with humanitarian organizations and international agencies, which are trying to mitigate the brocade imposed by the Zionist occupation.
05:14In this regard, international organizations denounce the complicit silence of the West and demand the immediate stop of Tel Aviv's aggression.
05:22They also demand the opening of real humanitarian corridors that are not controlled by the Israeli occupation army.
05:35And in Iraq, the holy city of Karbala welcomes thousands of visitors as part of its religious celebrations.
05:41The Great Arnold Pilgrim, known as Ar-Bahin, commemorates the anniversary of the death of Imam Hussein, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad.
05:51He and the largest religious defendants, ambulance and civil defense teams are deployed on constant alert to provide medical care and first aid to pilgrims until they reach the temple.
06:01And bedsides will enforce securities.
06:04See, there is a Shrines Department instructing visitors who may need advice on how to respect the Islamic dress code.
06:10The Russian Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of more than 120 Ukrainian drones in at least 15 regions of the country.
06:23Reports indicate that 29 aerial vehicles were shot down in Krasnodar region, 15 in the Crimean Peninsula and 13 in Bryansk, and 63 in various border regions.
06:44Since the start of the special military operation, Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian rear areas have become commonplace.
06:51Shell impacts and drone raids in territories border Ukraine are forcing the population to leave their homes and seek shelter to avoid being attacked.
07:00Russian President Biden held a phone conversation with his Brazilian counterpart, Luis Ignacio Silva, to inform him about his recent exchange with Washington, aiming for a lasting peace with Ukraine.
07:16During the call, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to seek a solution to the crisis provoked by the Kiev regime and their cooperation within the BRICS framework.
07:26Furthermore, they agreed to hold the next meeting of the Brazilian-Russian High-Level Cooperation Commission this same year.
07:31Florida Silva emphasized that his country is willing to make any necessary contribution to a peaceful solution even through the Group of Friends of Peace, the Brazil-China Initiative.
07:42On the other hand, Putin held a series of calls with other world leaders, including Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to share his assessment of recent developments.

09:46After the racial rains caused landslides and flooding in Juzong County.
09:49The disaster, which occurred last Thursday night, also left 15 dead and 15 injured.
09:54Rescue teams have deployed drones with aeromagnetic detection equipment to spot potential trapped victims in a key search area.
10:01where a two-story building and a single-family home were leveled.
10:05The rescue efforts, which include sniffer dogs and handheld equipment, are focused on finding the missing people,
10:11whereas over 9,000 people have been evacuated and relocated.
10:19First, we use aeromagnetic detection equipment, mounted on drones, on-site, to survey a high-risk area where most likely there may be trapped people.
10:29Once this area is identified, we will use two other new equipment.
10:33This one, for example, is a body gas detector.
10:37It can detect very weak characteristic gases in the human body.
10:41The other one, is a portable body detector, which detects very weak signals, such as breathing, pulse, and heartbeat from trapped people.

12:17They brought together thousands of people in Abidjan, the country's economic capital.
12:22Those present waived Cote d'Ivoire flags and their parties flags, while demanding inclusive and transparent elections.
12:28The leaders of these two parties, Jen Thiam and Lauren Bacbo, were excluded last June from presidential elections on October 25th,
12:36together with former Prime Minister Guillaume Soro and Bacbo's former advisor Charles Blegud.

13:02and warned that its interventionist statements could undermine the trust built during the ceasefire.

13:41Welcome back. In Ecuador, the death of 18 newborn babies at the University Hospital of Guayaquil has caused outrage in society.
13:56Although social organizations and local media claim that the death toll rose to 18,
14:12the hospital maintains that only 12 newborns died from various clinical factors, including bacterial infections.
14:19For this part, the municipal government of Guayaquil reported that the death were due to lack of nasal cannulas,
14:24a supply that cost barely more than $2, while the case is under investigation.
14:29Experts assure that the deaths are the result of a shortage of essential medical supplies derived from the economic crisis that is plaguing the country.
14:36And the Santa Fe de Bogotá Foundation, where Colombian senator Miguel Uribe is being treated,
14:46reported a drastic deterioration in the patient's health over the last 48 hours after he suffered a hemorrhage in the central nervous system.
14:53A statement from the medical center announced that despite remaining under comprehensive and multidisciplinary care in the intensive care unit,
15:01this condition remains critical, although a few weeks ago some tests showed a favorable unstable clinical response by the senator's body to the treatments received.

15:42where it arrested thousands of Haitians with irregular migration status.
15:46The detainees were transferred to the processing center and later repatriated despite the social and political crisis that Haiti is suffering.
15:54This is due to the violence generated by the confrontation between armed gangs and the national government.
15:59In this context, Pope Leo XIV called for global support to stop the increase in violence in Haiti.
16:09During Sunday prayers, the Holy Father denounced the murders, violence, human trafficking, kidnappings and forced exiles occurring in Haiti.
16:16He specified that an estimated 1.3 million people have been displaced within the nation due to constant attacks by armed groups.
16:23The leader of the Catholic Church called on the international community for help in creating social conditions and achieving stability for the Haitian people.
16:30Meanwhile, the situation of the people of Haiti is increasingly desperate.
16:45There are reports of murders, violence of all kinds, human trafficking, forced exile and kidnappings.
16:58I make a heartfelt appeal to all those responsible to release the hostages immediately,
17:06and I ask for the concrete support of the international community to create the social and institutional conditions that will allow Haitians to live in peace.
