00:00The family lawyer of the late 13-year-old Zahra Kairina Mahathir on Sunday

00:07dismissed a viral video, saying that the person screaming in it was not Zahra Kairina.

00:13Hamid Ismail told reporters outside Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kota Kinabalu

00:18that the video that contained the voice of a person who was not visible had been circulated on TikTok.

00:24He said the public should stop circulating any defamatory or speculative content

00:29noting that Zahra Kairina's mother is under emotional distress.

00:34In a statement later, he further dismissed other claims as speculative

00:38including one video of an individual alleging Zahra Kairina was placed in a washing machine.

00:45He called for the removal of such videos, images and personal details

00:49saying that they only add to the family's grief

00:52and urging anyone with information to help with police investigation.

00:56Meanwhile, over 100 people gathered outside the hospital

01:01to show solidarity with Zahra Kairina's family and await post-mortem updates.

01:07Zahra Kairina died on July 17, a day after she was found unconscious

01:11and critically injured in a drain at 4 a.m. near her school dormitory in Papar.
