00:00Last week obviously disappointing because we had a key person on this end, but this week is it infuriating that you had both players available, new signings in and things like that?
00:07Yeah, we didn't play from the first whistle until it was very, very frustrating, as I said, arguably, as poor as I've seen us play since I've been at the club.
00:19We didn't show enough determination in what we did, either defensively or going forward, and that's a frustration for me.
00:28You've always been very puzzled about the signs your team are showing you. You're feeling very low today.
00:33Yeah, we've performed poorly. We've let ourselves down. And again, I'll reiterate to you two, I can only apologise to the supporters who came here in the hundreds to come and support that team.
00:44Hours they must have took them to get here and haven't seen that team perform. So we'll make sure we're better next time out.
00:51Obviously only two games in, a long way to go, but how important is that bounce back going to be?
00:55Yeah, yeah, of course. Look, yeah, it's going to be very, very early, very, very early.
01:00And I'm sure we'll get better as the season goes on. You know, it's very difficult to just integrate, and I'm not making excuses to integrate so many people into a team straight away.
01:09So it takes a bit of time, but I'd still expect us to be better than that.
01:12Yeah, do you think there were signs of players not really knowing each other, not knowing how each other play at the moment?
01:17Well, you could say that. That would be, again, making an excuse, and I'm not one for excuses. We were poor on the day.
01:22We didn't do anything well enough to get nowhere near a victory. So congratulations to Exeter.
01:28We have to take it on the chin and admit that we weren't nowhere near good enough for what we expected.
01:33I know the other day you considered a chance for business all but done, you'd be happy with what you've got.
01:37But after two defensive displays that have been, obviously, frustrating, would you go back into everything?
01:41Yeah, but we're missing defensively in that respect. But, look, you know, it's not just defensively, it's set pieces, isn't it?
01:50You know, set pieces where we're usually so good at and where we prided ourselves on. Today we didn't defend them well enough at all.
01:58I've always spoken about the goalkeeper on Thursday and the Saturday situation.
02:03Cup game on Tuesday, was it always going to be an opportunity to change or are you planning to stick?
02:07We'll see. I've got a lot of digesting to do over until Tuesday.
02:11Another game coming and then another one on Saturday on Tuesday.
02:15So they come thick and fast and let's get ready for them.
02:18You mentioned Tracer Horsfall in a group of 10 days beyond that course.
02:22But then he hopes that we can have a long run and see where it is and see if it's settled down in that respect.
02:29It has been agitating them for a while. We'll just have to see how he is in the next.
02:34As I said, we must have to consult the boot and see where he goes from there.
02:38Was there a particular thing that sent you over the edge and triggered it?
02:41No, he was uncomfortable on the Monday and reported it.
02:47But I'm being honest, he's probably been carrying it for two, three weeks and probably wanted to try and battle his way through it.
02:53But he just made it worse.
02:56When was it flagged up to that it might not be possible?
03:02Yesterday, about yesterday afternoon at four or five o'clock, we knew there was a bit of a problem.
03:08But I have to say the FA were atrocious in the handling of the situation, if that's my honest opinion.
03:15Yes, we made a mistake, but we did everything we possibly could to rectify it.
03:20They just shot up shop and disappeared for the weekend, which left a bad taste in my mouth really,
03:28because they could have just somebody make a decision.
03:31We've done all the right things, we've made a mistake, but they were so poor at coming back to us.
03:37Anyway, I'm not going to start off and get a fine off the airfare, but they were pathetic, I have to tell you.
