Union Minister Piyush Goyal launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks on the Indian economy and said India has a bright future.

00:04I think parroting a negative narrative by the leader of the opposition is a matter of shame.

00:15I condemn him for that.

00:17And frankly, the nation will never forgive Mr. Rahul Gandhi

00:22for this kind of very, very demeaning comments about the great story

00:29that Bharat is demonstrating to the world.

00:34You know, you recently concluded a very positive trade agreement,

00:37as they say, with the United Kingdom.

00:40With the EU, if we were to get into some specifics,

00:44because you said so close and yet so far.

00:48So how do we speed up to get that yet so far?

00:52You know, bridge the gap.

00:53And those who are trying to spread the negativity,

00:56dead economy type, if we parrot it in our country,

00:59does this have an adverse impact overseas?

01:02First of all, negotiations are done in the negotiating room.

01:07So we won't be discussing negotiations and negotiating strategy.

01:11But I think any such statements,

01:18like the one we referred to,

01:21will automatically die if people like your channels,

01:24and you claim to be one of the highest viewed channels, right?

01:28The highest viewed, the best.

01:30If you stop showing this fake propaganda,

01:34and if you stop giving time to such negative stories,

01:41or negative mindset that some people display,

01:44automatically this will be a dead issue.

01:46And as regards to foreign countries or other countries in the world,

01:50they go by facts and figures.

01:52They don't even recognize the gentleman you were saying

01:55is making these disparaging comments,

01:58despite being the leader of the opposition in India.

02:03that all his life is going to remain in opposition.
