00:36you are and all that you do for this country thank you for making all of us
00:41proud you're doing very well in Hollywood thank you and but first how I know you
00:48left when you're three years old mm-hmm did you ever come back between that time
00:53and now I I did what I I mean my whole dad side of the family is still here so
01:00whenever whenever there were maybe birthdays or if people passed away we
01:06would come back or the last time we were here was two Christmases ago I was able
01:12to bring my parents and also my wife's parents to the Philippines and and just
01:18explore and and because they they always you should come back to see family but
01:22I wanted to show them other parts of the Philippines as well will there be a
01:26reunion this time um not not this time not much time yeah not much time but
01:33hopefully hope maybe next year yes okay um everybody wants to know how what is it
01:40like to be a Hollywood actor oh a lot of rejection a lot of yeah a lot of rejection
01:52money what does it mean which meant that you had to go for additions with for
01:56readings and yeah you got a lot of no yeah I mean it's it's a pretty tough
02:01industry you know especially as a person of color whether you're Asian or
02:07Filipino in general it's it can be pretty tough but yeah there's a lot of
02:11rejection in auditions and casting choices and projects and you just have to
02:18keep on going I think I built a lot of work ethic from my parents because of
02:23their their work ethic and I just you know continue to strive on but you've
02:27done pretty well and let me ask you as a fan of movie stars you worked with Tom Cruise yeah worked
02:35with uh Nicole Kidman and our very own Dolly Deleone and nine perfect strangers yeah
02:40yeah Tom for um Top Gun yeah yeah Maverick yeah you did Star Wars the Acolyte you did my

03:00Lindsay Lohan yes in Freak Your Friday yeah how do you survive them it's uh I I mean I come from a dance
03:10background so um you know without dance I wouldn't have been able to act I think
03:16that's the beauty of you know Filipinos we love to perform so we love to sing we
03:21love to dance we love to act um we have to do all these things and be in front of the camera and
03:26um I think seeing that within my culture I was like why not why not me right so I I gave it a try
03:32and um and here we are but it's it is a lot of work like it's a lot of preparation um a lot of being
03:39prepared for your lines or your scenes in general did you always want to be an actor no not really I uh it was
03:48my family you know they're mainly um in education you know I was I was really the first one kind of in
03:56the arts so I I had a lot of weird looks from you know some titos and titas and um my lolas and lolas but
04:05uh they were always very supportive um and uh they let me you know be free and and and explore dance
04:14and and the arts um and then it wasn't until much later that I found love did you train I did to
04:21be an actor yeah yeah uh I I I after I graduated from engineering it was full-on acting so taking
04:29classes um auditioning uh for for anything and everything that I could get whether it be plays
04:36or films and TV shows anything like that
05:06Oh cool
