00:00Hello and welcome to this Jane's Weather Update. This is for Western Australia and it's updated
00:05on Friday. We have a big weather system moving in. It's got a feed of tropical moisture coming
00:10down from the northwest that is meeting up with low pressure and there is another one that is
00:14brewing in behind it so we've got a one-two punch as we go across the weekend from some cold fronts
00:19coming in. Meanwhile a big weather system that is over the Queensland and northern New South
00:24Wales areas that will continue into tomorrow. Let's have a look at that in action for today.
00:29So big falls in through here but here we're just getting started. So five to ten millimeters during
00:34the day on Friday with that first front which is about here by the end of the day. Let's have a
00:39look at Saturday. Falls increased in the Perth area 25 to 50 millimeters so this is a big one as it comes
00:46through. The isobars, these lines here, they aren't super tight together so I wouldn't expect it to be
00:51one of the really wild vigorous cold fronts but we're definitely going to notice it in terms of
00:55wet weather. That's that feed of tropical moisture coming in here really delivering those falls for
01:00this particular band as it comes across. That's as we're going to Saturday. Big falls here. Watch those
01:05clear out as we move into Sunday. Meanwhile this is moving inland so by the end of Sunday that cold
01:12front is all the way in through here so it's passed right through Western Australia. We've got high
01:16pressure that is in behind it which is on its way in. So some nice falls as this comes through.
01:21All right so that's Sunday. Let's go into Monday. We're taking a break. High pressure here. It'll
01:26start to warm up again at the end of the day because we've got that high that is just out to
01:30the east now. So there's Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. It doesn't do much as it crosses the
01:36southeast. We had the juicy bit from that. We had the tropical moisture. We had the instability whereas
01:41the southeast is missing both of those ingredients by the time it arrives there. As we move through the
01:45middle of the week, so here we are by the end of Wednesday, Thursday is our next weather system to move
01:50through. Cold front already here by the end of Thursday. Again another feed of moisture but not
01:56quite as action-packed as the last one coming in. 15 to 25 millimeters as it comes. It's not a one-two
02:02punch. This is just one system moving through. And into Friday there it is moving into the southeast.
02:07We already have high pressure to the eastern parts of Western Australia by the end of the day.
02:12So that's what's happening over the next week. Let's have a look at that in terms of totals.
02:16Big falls in through here but so do we as well. That one-two punch across the weekend then that
02:22next weather system later on next week. 50 to 75 millimeters in the Perth area all through this
02:28anywhere that is yellow there so well inland is 25 to 50. Even 15 to 25 or 10 to 15.
02:365 by the time we get to Kalgooray. So a nice inland push from this particular weather system as it comes
02:42through. Let's unpack what that means for Perth. So let's move to my weather on final line weather.
02:47We've got showers likely. So it has started during the day. A lot of that activity is likely to be
02:52in the evening. Rain at times on Saturday. The first front moving away. The next one coming in.
02:58Temperatures down to 18. 8 millimeters. 35 millimeters. Then six that is left by Sunday.
03:04Here we have our break early next week. Monday and Tuesday temperatures rise as that high pressure
03:08system moves eastwards. 22 on Tuesday sunny during the day. Sorry on Wednesday. 22 sunny during the day.
03:15Then the next weather system arrives in the evening. So that leaves us cooler for Thursday
03:20with wet weather moving through two and then 12 millimeters for that last one.
03:24As always head to farm online weather for the latest.
