00:04due to be returned to France amounts to only 6% of arrivals. And if 94% of illegal immigrants
00:12crossing the Channel get to stay in the UK, that quite clearly won't act as any deterrent at all,
00:18which is why migrants continued to cross just yesterday. I think there's another question
00:23about legal challenges. We know if migrants claim to be under 18, they won't get removed,
00:28and they can make modern slavery or human rights claims that will also prevent their return to
00:33France. So I suspect this will get mired in endless legal wrangling.
