Speaking on CNBC's "Squawk Box," Trump floated a possible future ticket involving Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who recently praised Vance as a “great nominee.” When asked whether he would pursue a third term, Trump said he “probably would not,” citing the constitutional limit despite his record polling numbers. The conversation comes as Trump considers replacements for Fed Chair Jerome Powell, naming Kevin Warsh and Kevin Hassett as possible picks after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent declined interest. Trump also criticized the Bureau of Labor Statistics, accusing it of publishing “rigged” data ahead of the 2024 election. He has not yet named a new commissioner after firing Erika McEntarfer.
